Process Improvements may be needed

Some open communication and honesty would be more appreciated. There was some predicted snow and the bus company called me to verify we needed buses. I replied yes. We have a large field trip for a college that is not affected by school closures in the area. I later received a call stating that our field trip site called to cancel with the bus company. I thought this strange but the site does require security clearance so I knew they had the bus company's number. I later talked to the site and they said they did no such thing. The bus company called the site and said that they were short on drivers and would need to cancel. Your bus company took it into their own hands to lie about this issue at hand. If I had received a call from you that said that bus drivers are not available, I would understand. However, it seemed very difficult to get a refund...It seemed that everything was staged to push us to reschedule our field trip so payment would not need to be returned. In the end, we did receive a refund. I would appreciate more honesty and integrity from your company. We are not disgruntled, but process improvements can only happen when clear reflection occurs. I hope this aids on making process improvements, however, we are leery of reserving your buses for future trips.

Shopping Shuttles

The communication on the reservation was poor. While I received my confirmation there was confusion on the pick up location. I called the number provided on my confirmation and explained where I needed the drivers to meet us for pick up. Somehow, they ended up on the completely other end of campus. Instead of calling the number provided for the contact (me), the driver called my office line. I was not in my office, so I was not able to answer the call. I had asked that they use my cell phone number which was provided on the trip confirmation I received. When I tried to call the driver, they did not answer. I eventually tracked the buses down on campus, but it took approximately 20 minutes. When I got to the driver I explained that I had been trying to call them and they replied with, "Oh, that number kept coming up so I blocked it." Why would they block a number that was on the confirmation as the contact for the trip? While the drivers were very apologetic, they were late arriving to campus and then the extra time it took to find them made our departure time late. Overall, with the amount of money we paid for this trip, I was not impressed with this experience.

Kind Bus Driver Helped Get our Kids Home!

Our first bus arrived and I greeted the driver, who was so sweet. When I asked how far away the second bus was, she seemed confused and had asked if I had scheduled a second bus. I explained it was a roundtrip, and two busses had picked us up. Kristene was so kind and called first student as we waited an hour to get a response only to find out the first bus driver never showed up to check-in. Which left us with 48 teenagers stranded in Waupaca. Luckily, there was another first student bus who was dropping off students as we were departing. She was from waukesha, and offered to drive our other kids, but if it was not for her, we would have had to wait another 2 hours for a driver to arrive. We had to cancel our last meeting with all of the kids, and parents had to wait even longer for those kids to arrive. Very disappointing, but I am thankful for the kind drivers who tried to help fix the mistake that was not theirs to fix.
