I decided to reach out to First Local Services as it seems the drains in our new house hadn’t been cleaned in years, and full of dead birds. Spoke to a young lad called Bailey who sent a bloke with a jetter and the drains were cleared in a matter of hours. Thanks Bailey, those bloody drains!

Called Bristol Drains Ltd out to fix a blocked sink. Initially said they would be out in a couple of hours, but, 2 young lads from First Local Services Ltd turned up middle of the following day. After seeing the problem, the first thing they did was stuff a camera up the outside drains. They said that two of the pipes were out of alignment. 1 needed sleeved & the other needed the driveway dug up & the drain pipe replaced. They then tried to quickly jet out the blockage through the sink pipes, but failed. They charged £260, despite not fixing anything, & quoted £5100 to fix the pipes! Luckily, we decided to get someone else out to provide an alternative quote. They came out, cleared the blockage & charged us £250!
Edit:
To be fair, after posting this review, the company phoned me up straight away to apologise & gave a full refund for not fixing the blockage. However, they maintain that the misalignment of the pipes still needs to be addressed, so we'll get a proper survey done.

We’re genuinely sorry that the issue with your sink wasn’t resolved during our visit. As discussed over the phone, our engineer carried out a CCTV inspection to check the external drainage system, as it’s standard practice to identify whether a blockage may be caused by a wider issue within the system rather than just at the sink itself. During that inspection, several significant displacements were identified on the foul line, which were photographed and quoted for accurately of which we have provided to yourself.
Unfortunately, the sink could not be cleared on the day because the specialist spiralling equipment required was not on board. Once we realised this, we contacted you immediately, apologised, and issued a full refund as a gesture of goodwill even though our rates are time-based to make sure you weren’t left out of pocket.
Our intention has always been to provide a professional service and identify the root cause of the problem, not just offer a temporary fix. The displacements we identified in the external pipework are genuine issues that still require attention to prevent future blockages.
Our engineers acted in line with industry standards and were transparent in providing both their findings and a quotation for remedial works. We always encourage customers to seek independent surveys if they wish, as in drainage it’s better to be safe than sorry.
We appreciate the opportunity to explain this and are glad we were able to speak with you directly to resolve the matter.
