I brought this product to spray on my PVC pipes under my bathroom cabinet and kitchen cabinets. It says and they advertise that it does stop leaks, any leaks that is not true. I never stop the leaks i... Voir plus

followed directions for application of flex seal liquid. This coat and after 3 days still wet. Area where flex seal has been applied to is ruined. Stay away from this product.

Can of the flex seal exploded…
A can of the flex seal spray exploded in my laundry room during the night. it was on the wall, dripped down unto my new floor...Covered many of my products I had to throw out.
what a nightmare to cleanup!
CAUTION!!!!
My Review of flex seal spray and…
My Review of flex seal spray and flexseal Can.
I own a machine shop machineandtoolservices.com
I bought a small cnc mill, but it needed coolant, the coolant tank was leaking in many places, I applied both, can of seal and spray seal, (a must let it sit and cure between layers, i used 3 layers) after a few days i put water in it and tested it for 5 hours, and no leak.
My band saw needed a coolant tank too, so i made a wooden box 1/2"thick wood 3ft x 2ft x 4inch wall height, then applied flex seal, both spray and brush on, focusing on the most likely leak areas, with thicker coat, and again no leaks.
Do not brush over large gaps and holes, cover first with fibre glass mesh or thin wood then brush on Flex seal.
It's a no brainer Flex Seal works, if you do it right.
I will be posting some youtube videos of my CNC Mill
and Band Saw running flood coolant.
Ps, Be patient let it cure and dry for 3days or more,
give the rubber a chance to expand into the grooves and small crevices.
Any questions just text me Machineandtoolservices
web site.
Flex seal tape is totally false…
Flex seal tape is totally false advertised. It did not work. I tried to seal a needle size hole from leaking but it did not seal at all. This tape is just like any other tape useless. I contacted company about their guarantee they ignored me
25 percent of product was hard in 2…
25 percent of product was hard in 2 containers 1 container was hard throughout
this product does not work AT ALL
this product does not work AT ALL. Do not waste your money. it did not even seal a hair line crack on a pipe.
Prep before use
Ok, lets get real this product does work, but you may have to do a little extra on your part depending on what your using if for. I could not not afford to water proof my basement at the cost of 40.000 with the company I will not mention, not trying to take business away or put them in a bad light but I use Flex Seal to do my whole basement yes it was time consuming but I put a little more work into it before using Flex Seal I sanded and cement the walls first, than a week later I use the all white Flex Seal to paint over the cement I rolled it on thick the first and only time so I would have a nice thick layer and it may have taken me 2 months to finish but it looks good. I love my concrete walls and now there white and rubbery nice to the touch, its one year now and no leaks. So people before you trash a product be mindful on how you use it and the steps you take before use. This product does work!
Goes Bad Too Fast!
Purchased a small tub of Flex Seal Black Paste -- When I opened, it had already solidified around the edges -- Was able to use some from the middle by penetrating with a screw driver, but within three days, even after covering the tub with lid tightly and putting in a plastic bag, it had hardened too much for use-- Could not evaluate the product since I was not able to get enough to fill my problem area.
Garbage
Garbage! Wouldn't stick. Top layer dried out and hard. Flex Seal got me this time but never again!
I paid a small fortune for a 4oz tube…
I paid a small fortune for a 4oz tube of the glue. And when I opened it the glue was no good.
Clean and followed instructions…
Clean and followed instructions correctly use to fix my husband car hold our carpet down put glass back together waited the correct time for it to bond together absolutely love it worth every single penny I spent on it
We used it to coat my bay window area…
We used it to coat my bay window area when a new roof was put on in April 2022. In December 2022 the area leaked again and my roofer went up to look at it and it had cracks all thru where he had put the FLEX SEAL. He said it was a bear to work with and he would never use it again. I will not recommed this product to anyone.
Absolute GARBAGE!!
Absolute GARBAGE!!
I bought two cans of the spray rubbish with the intention of using it to spray a home made feral cat shelter so it was water proof ... yeah, right. After shaking the can for a good length of time it sprayed out in a single JET and was as thin as water - the crap went every where and was nothing like what I expected. I don't know how that idiot Phil Swift can sleep at night advertising this stuff. Total garbage, Total waste of money!!!
First let me say I'd rather pick "0"…
First let me say I'd rather pick "0" stars compared to the one but wasn't given that option. Bought Flex Seal to patch a water trough around the bottom. Applied it at least 3 times waiting anywhere from 2 days to longer to put each application on. Finally I put it out yesterday and filled it. Immediately leaks shot out THROUGH the Flex Seals. For a product you can supposedly seal a window screen with and ride as a boat this is a worthless product - I've had bathtub caulk last longer. Only wish I could get my $15 back but that's doubtful. I will end this with DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
unopened 3 lb can dried out
A brand new 3 lb unopened tin was half cured once I opened it. I dug a hole in the soft spot where the foil seal was in contact with the top of the sealant. What came out was full of lumps and would not stick to the surface I needed to seal. Since it was purchased at the beginning of the summer, I no longer had the bill to return it to the retailer. Expensive lesson...
I wouldn't even give the flex seal tape…
I wouldn't even give the flex seal tape one star. Hard to cut and would not stick or even stop a small pin hole leak in my pool. Dont buy it find another product, and dont trust the positive reviews and claims there more than likely false.
Bad Flex Shield Tape And Glue
I used flex shield tape on my leaking garden hose today.
The flex shield tape did not stop the water leak !
The flex shield tape is also difficult to use, I had to use several types of scissors and even after I found a pair of scissors that would cut this tape, the tape was still difficult to cut. I thought about using a knife or utility knife ! I bought this flex shield tape against my better judgment because I previously used flex shield glue to try to fix a pipe leak that also did not work ! I am now out the cost of the flex shield and I have to buy a new garden hose. This is a bad product, I will never buy this product again and strongly recommend that anyone thinking of buying this product not to do so !
HORRIBLE product
HORRIBLE product! And every time I talk to someone about it, they say the same thing. We had a leak in our fountain and my husband has the patience of a saint and did 3 coats, letting each one dry in between for 48 hrs . . . didn't matter, leaked the very next day. Again, everyone else that I have talked to had a bad experience with it and it did not work for them either.
Terrible product
Terrible product. I had a pin hole leak in my pressure washer wand, so thought I would try sealing it with this until I could buy a new wand. I waited one week to let it sit, and try using it. It didn't last for even 30 seconds. The ads are definitely misleading. Returned to the point of purchase for a full refund. Don't waste your time buying this.
I'm going to be 100% up front here
I'm going to be 100% up front here. The only reason why I even bothered with this product was because I was very desperate.
There was a massive storm coming in and the last time we had rain our roof had a massive leak in it. We were able to tarp it but wanted to get it properly fixed.
Unfortunately we discovered we couldn't finance a new roof and didn't have the money or know how to get it done on my own.
So the day before the massive storm was going to hit us. I went to the local ACE and bought 2 cans of Flex seal. Never in my life have I felt so desperate. I didn't believe in it and thought it was a complete waist of time.
When I went to bed that night I set up the buckets and had the tarp ready as I full expected to have to put it back on in the morning. Because there is no way this is going to work. The cheapest est I got from a local roofing company to patch it was $2,500.00 usd. There is no way $30 worth of TV snake oil was going to get the job done.
I used both cans applying it to the seams of each tile in the effected area. I didn't have enough to give it a second coat. I did the best I could with what little product I had. Again completely believing that this is not going to work. But I had to try something.
Well, It worked! I woke up the next morning to a dry home. Although the storm isn't over I have no reason to believe that it's not going to last.
This stuff is amazing and I'm completely blown away by it's ease of use and effectiveness.
It's worth trying out!
Ordered paste product, horrible.
Ordered paste product. Didn't use for maybe four months. Product was maybe twenty five percent solidified. Resealed via directions and one week later was more than fifty percent solidified and used small amount. Two weeks later and was totally solidified. Got about one dollar use from thirty dollar tub.
