SHADES OF GREY
MY NEWEST EDITED REVIEW OF FLEX SEAL PRODUCT
( THIS has been edited by myself
04/14/2021 )
I 1hammer1 am changing my negitive review of FLEX SEAL Liquid 128-fl oz Gray Dip Rubberized Coating.
The day that I published my negitive review of this product THE FLEX SEAL COMPANY called me at home and offered a solution to my problem with the grey color WOW they wasted no time they have made me more then happy ( WHAT A GREAT COMPANY ) I have always liked their products the FLEX SEAL Liquid 128-fl oz Gray Dip Rubberized Coating is a great water proofer we have had water in our basement when it rained hard. We have done our whole basement walls and floors with this product this product will and does stand up to hydrostaic water pressure if it is appied in 2 to 3 coats we were told it probably would not stand up to normal foot traffic in our basement (NOT TRUE) we have scooted and pushed and walked all over the floor no problem unless you really scape hard on the floor but you have to apply this product properly clean the surface have no loose stuff and dry and apply 2 to 3 coats let dry well 2 to 3 days between coats also venilate the area well. We had basement waterproofing estimates between $30,000.00 and $42,000.00 this product cost near $100.00 per gallon and we purchased 29 gallons from 1 source and 8 gallons from another sourse total =37 gallons est. cost $3,700.00 ( WOW BIG DIFFERANCE ) My wife and I are 80 years old and we did all the work by our selfs we just took our time also after the 1st coat you do not have to wait till it is not raining because it stops the water from coming in apply more coats for stronger protection and longevity I truly do recommend this product and truly recommend the FLEX SEAL COMPANY and special thanks to

I am responding as you ask me to do. We have purchased 29 gallons of FLEX SEAL liquid 128-fl oz grey dip rubberized coating (2-pack ) and single gallon purchases from Lowes and 8 gallons from home depot for our basement floor and basement walls, your product required 2 to 3 coats to stop leaks after I had already sealed floor and wall cracks with another self-leveling crack sealer product. The problem that we are having that is upsetting us is the floor has 3 different shades of grey everywhere all over the floor where 1 can left off and we started a new can ( all gallons cans is all we have ever purchased ) also it is the same thing on our basement walls if they had been one color everything would have been fine but that is not the case. Wow after spending almost a $100.00 per gallon and to end up looking like this with all that work and hard work it is. your product per gallon does NOT go very far. why can't you make only one shade of grey is our question, once we started this project we had to finish it even with the different shades of grey. We are so disappointed with your product we wish we would have not trusted you and your product, if is applied the proper way I believe your product will stand up to hydrostatic water pressure but it has to LOOK GOOD ALSO for that kind of money .
We are now sorry that we purchased your product we will never purchase any more of it or any of your products, and we will never recommend any of your products. Lowes and home depot have all of our purchases of your product I paid for your product with my Lowes and home depot credit card, after reading your blank Incident Report form you want me to fill out ( OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS , NEIGHBORS, ALL LAUGHED ) And we all said never again.
WHAT ( B-S ) Wow what customer service you have good luck with that, and now after reviewing your product we are hearing from others with all kinds of complaints about your product from others we never heard of wow. only been sent to our email so far. ( IS FLEX SEAL SOME KIND OF SCAM ) We purchased your product in good faith only to get a bunch of excuses and I know you know that you have a grey color problem. ( if you cheat me the 1st time it is your fault but if you cheat me the second time it is my fault.
( And all we wanted was to know was how to fix the color problem we have tried to fix it with more grey @ $100.00 a gallon but even the same (batches of gallon cans) are all different grey colors LIGHT, MEDIUM, DARK GREY )
Have a great day
Harold Watkins
PS THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING.
Thank you

Incredible waste of time & money
Placed an order for 2 rolls of the 12'x10' tape on 28 September.
On 29 September, received an e-mail claiming the order had shipped, via FedEx. Tracking number was given.
I live in Northern NY State, about 100 miles from the capital, 40 miles from the nearest "large city" so the delivery route used is, to me, disgusting:
On 29 September, my order left Georgia.
30 September, it arrived in West Virginia.
01 October, arrival in Massachusetts where it sat until...
05 October, it appeared in a town only 100 miles from me in NY and was THEN sent to a town in Connecticut... 250 miles away!
07 October, TWO DAYS later, it's still in Connecticut with a delivery date of...
13 October!
In addition to this FedEx information I see that my order will be handed-off to the USPS. My experience with this method of shipping has never been positive. (UPS has a similar "service" and ALL of my orders that were "handed-off" to USPS have arrived damaged. Not so with ANY shipments handled strictly by UPS.)
Contacting FlexSeal is useless because they deflect responsibility to FedEx and contacting FedEx is useless because they say, appropriately, that the "Shipper" chooses the method of shipment (the "hand-off").
The "FlexTape" isn't cheap (inexpensive), and what makes all of this worse is that the delays have now put me in a position where, by the time the tape arrives, it will be too late for me to make any use of it for the purpose intended. I now have to invest added expense in time, travel and money to (hopefully) find a reasonable substitute for a product I was assured would be my best bet. So it's costing me MUCH more than I've already spent in time and money. And "support", "assistance", basic concern? Apparently none. I've tried sending e-mails to "Flexsealproducts"... 2 out of 3 have been "returned" as "undeliverable".
I most certainly would advise: If you can't get it at your local retailer, find an alternative. (Personally, I'll NEVER buy another "Flex" product, no matter where it's available nor the job to be done.)

I placed my order with Flex Seal on…
I placed my order with Flex Seal on 7/27/2020. After two weeks I did not receive a confirmation from Flex Seal nor did I receive my product. I sent several emails to the company and all they said is that they received my order. They indicated that it will take 30 days from the date of the order. This is absolutely unacceptable and I write this posting so "consumers be aware". If you are not in immediate need of this product (Flex Seal Paste), then order but be prepared for a long wait.
Now that's a lotta damage!
I used Flex Seal to patch, bond, seal and repair my depression. To show you the incredible power of Flex Seal,
I sawed this review in half.
