Being a visual leaner, I love the SHORT
videos and the way they are broken down and how you can look up the words so easily, with the precise meaning for that exact usage. As well as the ability to have/or not the subtitles in the language you're learning and your own. Never boring! You can't beat that!

Software helps me learn characters faster than Duolingo. Very easy to use!

I've been trying to learn Spanish for ages and have lacked a clear direction after reaching an intermediate level. FluentU is perfect for me, I wish I had found this earlier! I love the wide range of short video clips. Having the exact wording below and explanations is so helpful. It has saved a lot of time trying to translate from videos where the sub titles are often different. The review quizzes are really great. It has given me a really good structure to work with and I feel I am already making very good progress. The Spanish language is spoken so fast, having something like this really helps. I also love the fact you can click on a word you are unfamiliar with and it plays a series of short videos containing this word to help put this word into context.

Probably the best, most practical tool for learning a language as it is actually spoken in context. Fluentu uses real videos from native sources and uses them to build vocabulary lists and grammar points for language learners. If your goal is to understand your target language as it is actually spoken by native speakers then this is probably the best tool out there.

I am doing the free trial and I love it so far. I am able to practice writing/typing, vocabulary, reading, and listening. I use the flashcards and the videos.

The individual word's meaning, its use in the context, and the sound help me improve my reading, writing, and listening simultaneously.

I like their content on blog, they are useful and informative. Their paid lessons are interesting too, but a little boring. I have to find motivation for learning.

Excellent learning resource that is fun and easy to use! Highly recommend. The only thing I wish it included was a learning pathway specifically for children, as well as the ability to have different levels on the same account. My level of Spanish is Intermediate-Advanced, and my Beginner level daughters (8yo and 11yo) would like to use it. It would be nice if that were a seamless process with kid-appropriate content and everyone's progress saved. Thank you!

I have been using FluentU for over 2 years to learn French and I absolutely love it! I have learned a lot of vocabulary and phrases and I keep coming back to the same Videos and Audios to review the material and reinforce it.
I d'not think I'll ever finish with all the material they have to offer!!

Really awesome platform for learning Chinese

Incredible App.

Never thought I would happily pay that much for an app. Been using it for the last 3 years and even though I am consider myself fluent in Chinese by now, I am still continuously learning new words, phrases or ways of describing situations or things. For me the perfect app for everybody who is past the basics and really wants to take their language skills to the next level - with around 10 minutes per day.

I've been using this software / app for a few years now to learn Chinese, and it's been awesome. The videos have a wide range of topics which are fun and interesting.

I would highly recommend this software/app to anyone that is interested in learning a new language. It's one of the best language learning apps out there.

The service has also been fantastic - They'll answer any questions or problems you might encounter very quickly.

First I'll write a review about FluentU customer service and then a review about the product.

Firstly, my son Alex, 12, subscribed without my consent or knowledge (which is illegal) and when I got a charge on my card, I immediately contacted them so they could help me refund the amount. They won't do it as they say they sent me a reminder that I'd get charged (how on earth would I receive it if my son subscribed behind my back, using this e-mail address, which is his, and which I have kidnapped so FluentU can know whose customer I'm talking about. That's why I'm using his e-mail address on here). So their customer service is terrible, and the action of making a minor's purchase valid is illegal!!

Secondly, I've checked the product and all you do is learning a language through YouTube videos with subtitles, that's it!! You can achieve the same and with far more variety on YouTube alone and a dictionary, so it's also a waste of money too!

I could escalate this as a legal matter as it was a child's purchase, but to be honest it's not worth it for $29.99 USD.

Stay away from FluentU

Ive been using FluentU to improve my Spanish for almost two years. I most like the programmable ability to set daily goals, which keeps me consistently learning every day.

Fluentu is the best place to learn new languages, but it's a little bit too expensive for Eastern Europe ppl :(

I love Fluentu. It's the best application for learning the Chinese language.
