I have had my eye on a Fold Refomer for soo long. Ordered end of Nov arrived mid Jan and I am absolutely delighted with the quality of it.simple to set up and manageable for one person. The fold mechanism is very easy and the reformer is easy to store and move around. The Fold App is easy to navigate and offers a variety of classes from beginner to advanced. I love that there are short classes as well as full body workouts which suit my life style. The only thing you will regret if you purchase a Fold Reformer is not doing sooner.

I had the opportunity to try a class on the FÔLD reformer and it really is top tier quality. Right off the bat, it exceeds quality expectations compared to other reformers I've used and it's really worth the wait. I'd rather wait the longer dispatch times for a product I will cherish forever, than cut corners for a brand that doesn't hold up to the same standard.

A beautiful piece of equipment that looks great in the home. I can now use my Fold reformer every day which is fab. Yes, it’s an expensive outlay of money initially but it means I’m not paying £60 a month for just one session a week, and I can use it whenever I want. I love it! The app is easy to use and the classes are easy to follow. I’m so glad I purchased it.

The Fold is really difficult to pack…
The Fold is really difficult to pack and unpack, I can't do it alone and it is already marking my floor. The footbar has become misaligned so collapses at inopportune moments - like when you are doing a plank. It also took several months to arrive although it was not clear that it was not going to be shipped immediately. Shortly after arriving they brought out a new model.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we’re really sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve encountered.
From our understanding, it appears you purchased a Version 1 bed. We recognise that the original folding process could take some getting used to, depending on individual circumstances. Feedback like yours played a key role in our decision to revisit the design, and we listened closely to customer experiences when developing our current Easi FOLD system. This updated mechanism was specifically designed to make folding, moving, and storing the reformer easier, which all of our current beds have.
Regarding the Footbar, we’d really appreciate the opportunity to look into this issue further. Our team is fully trained to assist with any kind of maintenance issues and can guide you through any necessary checks or solutions.
If you’re open to it, please email us at hello@foldreformer.com and our team will be happy to review the details and see how we can help.

Convenient & High-Quality. Worth Every Penny (and the Wait!)
I’m really impressed with the FOLD Reformer! It feels just like a studio-quality machine, but the best part is how easy it is to set up and fold away — perfect for home workouts, even in a small space.
I also like the workout app that comes with it, it makes staying consistent so much easier.
It’s definitely an investment, but if you want a high-quality Pilates experience at home, this is totally worth it. I’ve been using it regularly and love it.

Community Class Roadshow
If you get a chance to try out a community class, I highly reccomend it. I was lucky enough to catch a class in Edinburgh. Complete reformer newbie and was made to feel so welcome. The teacher was brilliant in making me feel supported along with the more experienced attendees. I am definitely up for reformer classes now. The reformer felt very smooth and love how it folds - I have a tiny flat. Added to wishlist.

Overall
Overall, the bed is of good quality; however, there are several important factors to consider that are not clearly explained in the advertisement.
The reformer is very heavy and extremely difficult to manoeuvre on a daily basis. I bought mine after discussing it with the Fold team, who confirmed that this was how it was designed to function — but unfortunately, that’s not the case. Initially, I thought I might not be using it correctly or wasn’t strong enough, but there are clear design issues.
Another factor to consider is the height limitation as the overall platform is short. I’m 5'7", and I cant perform some exercises, such as the full plank(the carriage reaches the end). This is definitely something potential buyers should be aware of.
Regarding the springs, the reformer comes with 2 red, 2 green, and 1 yellow. The red ones are supposed to be the heaviest, but that’s not really the case (perhaps fine for beginners, but not for intermediate or advanced users). When following videos that require heavier resistance, I often have to keep adjusting — which is frustrating — and it’s difficult to find the right combination. With all springs attached, leg work still doesn’t feel very challenging.
Another issue is with the black straps. Because of their positioning, when not in use they often need to be removed and placed outside the frame; otherwise, they get stuck under the carriage and block movement. The placement could have been designed much better.
Overall, for such an expensive machine, I don’t think it’s worth the price. I would have preferred to invest in a model from a brand that specialises in professional studio reformers.
When I was considering buying this, all the reviews I found were only positive. Some people even suggested that negative reviews were removed. So I’m simply sharing a few points that I wish someone had mentioned before I made the investment — things you might want to consider before purchasing.
Edit in response to the company’s reply:
They suggested that both red springs — which are outsourced — are likely faulty and offered replacements. I do question of the chances that both springs are defective? And if the red ones are faulty, does this mean the green ones are faulty as well? For users who are not beginners, in my view this remains a significant limitation for stronger workouts.
For the ropes, they recommended a few fixes, but none of them worked. They also offered to replace the damaged ropes, but that still doesn’t address the underlying design issue that causes them to get stuck under the carriage.
Regarding the height limitations, removing the backstops adds around 5 cm, but this still does not resolve the overall restriction for taller users.
As for the machine’s mobility, the company denied that there is an issue — despite acknowledging that they had received similar feedback from other users, which led to the major design change in the newer model (a key selling point). Beyond offering replacements for the allegedly faulty parts, they essentially closed the discussion on all the concerns I raised.

Réponse de FOLD Reformer
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m really sorry to hear that the previous model didn’t fully meet your expectations.
For clarity for anyone reading, the reformer you purchased was our first generation model, which has now been retired and is no longer available to buy. Your review relates to that version rather than the current model we sell.
Since your purchase, we’ve launched our new FOLD Reformer with our trademark Easi FOLD system. It was specifically designed to make moving and storing the bed much easier, alongside improvements to the wheel design, strap placement and set up guidance. Many of these updates were shaped by early customer feedback, so thank you, it genuinely helped us evolve.
In response to your points, the carriage length can be extended by moving the stopper to the second position, which gives around five inches of extra travel. Spring tension follows industry standards, but we’re always happy to send extra red springs free of charge for anyone who would like more resistance.
I’m sorry the original version didn’t feel like the right investment for you, and I appreciate you sharing what you wish you’d known beforehand.
Since retiring that model, feedback on the new version has been overwhelmingly positive, especially around the ease of use, quality and the effortless folding system, which has made a real difference for customers.
If you’re open to it, I’d love to see how we can support you now. Please email us at hello@foldreformer.com and we’ll look into this for you.
