Great Representative

Had a great briefing from Sophie who really explained things well. We then had a meeting afterwards where we went in to depth about my needs and she was really accommodating and honest with everything. Highly recommended

Excellent Service from advisor Jennie Lewis

I recently joined Royal London insurance and I was supported by a very friendly and professional advisor, Jennie Lewis. She explained everything clearly and made sure I fully understood my insurance options. It makes such a difference when the person on the other end of the phone is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely polite.

Sophie at forces mutal was so helpful

Sophie at forces mutal was so helpful - she looked into my circumstances on an individual level, being very empathetic and giving me as much time as needed. Her solutions has ensured I am no covered in areas I was even unaware of, and potentially saving me £100pcm on a plan which the company was charging me for a dept consolidation plan (Sophie was able to sign post me to one which doesn't). I will always be grateful for her help.

Direct renewal is best with Forces Mutual.

Lynne Dickaty was fantastic. My car renewal quote was given with outdated information held on account (my fault) she quickly updated the system which cut my final payment in half next month. The renewal quote was better then any I found using compare websites. Renewing directly with Forces Mutal is saving me in excess of £600 for the next 12 months cover. Thank you Lynne. :)

Failure to honor their own policies

We are extremely disappointed with the service or lack of from this company. We made a valid claim that was approved for payout, but since then, it has been a nightmare of misinformation and silence. Every time we call, we are given a different story or told there is a 'technical issue' with the payment. It’s clear they are just fobbing us off in hopes that we stop calling. Avoid this company!

Life Insurance

Our experience with Suzanne was fantastic. Her knowledge and expertise were outstanding and immediately put both my partner and me at ease when proceeding with our life insurance plan. I’ve held a Forces Mutual policy for years, but when my phone was stolen, the reality of the cover became clear. My claim was fully outsourced to third parties, and I was offered a refurbished/used phone as a replacement — justified only by fine print.

Forces Mutual take no real ownership of the claim and leave you dealing with third-party suppliers they choose. Loyalty counts for nothing once you actually need to claim. This is not the level of service I expected after years of paying premiums, especially from a provider that markets itself to the armed forces community.

For clarity: a “resolution being accepted” does not mean I was satisfied — it means I was worn down by delays and a lack of alternatives.

The core issue remains unchanged and unanswered: when I needed to claim, Forces Mutual outsourced the entire process, took no ownership, and offered a refurbished device as a replacement, relying on fine print rather than fair expectation.

Pointing customers back to renewal documents after the fact does not address the service failure or the mismatch between how this policy is marketed and how claims are handled in reality.

I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision, not to reopen the case.
