Disaster
Went to the counter, I showed the sales assistant the email with the purchase number, he kept asking what I was picking up?? Surely the purchase number should be linked with some sort of system??
There was guy driving a forklift like a maniac just in front the store entrance

Our team prioritise being friendly and professional, so we are particularly sorry that you felt dissatisfied and not looked after. Our drivers operate at high safety standards and was operating with a banksman at the time you visited.
We will take all your concerns to the managers involved and review all the issues you have raised.
Staff are friendly
Staff are friendly, but I have ordered twice and both times they have sounded VERY unsure/uncertain of whether they could fulfill the orders or make the deliveries on time. First order was delivered on time, but with the staff advising that it 'probably wouldn't be'. Second order I gave 8 days notice for delivery and received a phone call on delivery day saying that my order may not be delivered on the day. As it was, they managed it, albeit four hours late. I hate leaving this review, as I visit G&S in person frequently and love thier old-fashioned service and knowledge in-store. however, the online side needs some SERIOUS upskilling.

We do think this may have been slightly exceptional circumstances: the branch that processed your order and delivery had issues with vehicles and delays caused by previous recipients that were beyond their control. We’re very sorry that this may not have been communicated clearly and that it led to legitimate frustrations. We are looking into how we can proof ourselves against repeats of this.

Super friendly staff!
The website is really easy to use. We needed multiple deliveries and each time we ordered, delivery was fast ans efficient. The delivery driver was friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again.

Excellent service.
Excellent delivery, Had two phone calls about delivery and delivered to exact place requested. Have used Gardner & Scardifield many times whether collection or delivery and never had a problem. Highley recommend as there prices are very competitive
