I took some great advice from a friend about finding a proactive conveyancing law firm. I needed to meet a specific completion date so I needed a legal firm who could be relied on to get in with the job and chase my buyers solicitors. Gardner Champion were recommended and they have not
Let me down. I’ve had a continuous flow of information back and forth which has assisted in ensuring the deadline date was met. If you go for the cheapest available then don’t be surprised if you have to chase at every juncture. GC were not the cheapest but certainly weren’t the most expensive either.

If you want a reliable and proactive professional conveyancing service, look no further. Top marks guys, thank you👍

Shocking service!
I do not, for one minute believe the good reviews on here.
My experience with ***** who is a senior member of staff at this company has mirrored that of the past clients, who say that communication is poor as is the service.
Delays, my emails being ignored, my phone calls being deliberately handled by staff who claim that Mrs ****** is 'unavailable'.
The conveyance has taken months and is still not completed.
I have already lost one property purchase through Mrs. ****** 's incompetence and after having given her until close of business on the 22nd May, to give a response to my requests for an update on my sale, (which has not been forthcoming, ) I have decided to discontinue use of this company's services. I shall complain, not only to this company
( who, in my personal opinion merely use 'lip service' in an attempt to appease their clients), but to whatever regulatory authorities I can, as this woman has turned a conveyance into a nightmare by her ignorance.

I had a terrible experience with Gardner Champion Solicitors.

I recently used this firm for both the sale and purchase of my home. While the sale progressed relatively smoothly, the purchase side of the process was let down by a consistent lack of communication.

The process took around seven months to complete, and throughout that time there were periods where I received little to no updates. I often found myself having to chase for information, which made it very difficult to plan and added unnecessary stress. I was informed that the firm had a number of “high priority cases,” which ultimately left me feeling like my case was not a priority and had been overlooked.

I was also concerned that searches on the purchase were not carried out until around five months into the process, contributing to the overall delay without any clear explanation at the time.

In addition, my case was handled by three different people. This appeared to impact the continuity of the process, as information did not always seem to be clearly handed over, which in turn fragmented communication and overall understanding of the case.

I also raised a formal complaint during the process, which was not responded to. This was particularly disappointing and reinforced my concerns around communication and accountability.

While the transaction did eventually complete, the experience on the purchase side felt disorganised and unnecessarily prolonged. Clearer, more consistent communication and better continuity of handling would have made a significant difference.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm due to the lack of communication and overall disorganisation throughout the process.

Awful experience with a property transaction. Communication is non-existent, case is constantly being handled by different people and I am not sure that, at any point, an actual qualified solicitor has even looked at it. I have lost count of the amount of times I have called the main office number, in normal working hours, and nobody answers the phone. When somebody does look at the case for you, they don't have a clue what they are doing and I have been spoken to very rudely on the phone, several times. I have raised a formal complaint. Avoid at all cost.

Well, after a small bump at the beginning, the case was picked up by Saskia. If you’re lucky enough to get her, then it’ll be a smooth ride!

I was kept well informed through this the process, happy to answer small questions and offered clarity throughout the process.

Saskia’s handling throughout was 5 Stars, but the person who was appointed initially was about 3 stars, hence the slight drop in overall rating.

Great service and high levels of professionalism should be celebrated and I haven’t really a bad word to say once everything got moving.
