Gourmet Burger Kitchen Avis 

GBK used to be THE best place for burgers, nowhere else compared and it kind of ruined going out anywhere else because nothing could live up to the quality. Now though, it’s a different story. The quality has nosedived over the last couple of years and they’ve ditched the sweet potato fries which is odd because everytime we went 90% of tables had them so it’s not as if they weren’t popular. Costs obviously went up and quality went down so it’s a shame but we won’t be back

Went to the Trafford centre GBK paid for 2 of us £50 for 2 burgers single patty, one chicken burger 2 drinks and 2 fries. So starting off it wasnt really busy a lot of empty tables waited about 25 mins for burger could see one of ours sat on counter I presume it was the chicken. Then the chicken burger was almost cold definitely over cooked chewy and no flavour at all. Chips were skinny fries over salted tbh but hot. I had to get a reorder of the chicken burger this one was boiling hot as “freshly made” tbh tasteless I’ve made my own panko breadcrumb burgers at home and with these there was no seasoning at all. Ordered it with “house mayo” both came without. Son didny mind his said was a bit t burnt asked for it well done. For £50 you’d expect decent bread at least won’t be going again overpriced and tasteless. Lady who got the replacement burger very nice friendly staff apologetic.

What a sad decline in quality and quantity. Cribbs causeway friendly welcome, not sure what the tablets for ordering are for, gimmick! invest that money in heating the food. Portions now small, chips soggy, had to reorder!! Sad decline in what was a good place to eat and no longer a reasonable price. Happy to discuss

I was made welcome by the friendly staff @ the Gourmer Burgers, Liverpool 1 restraurant. I was well seated and my dog was brought a bowl of water on this hot day. Although I'm probably not a normal burger eater, the food was good and the price was reasonable. After my meal and although I had inadvertently overpaid, my error was pointed out by a lovely and kind young lady member of staff and I was given my correct change. The staff were a credit to the company.

Byron was always my favourite so hadn’t done GBK for a few years.
Visited Bluewater branch yesterday and sadly the ownership change has killed it.
Burgers smaller than they were, average quality, they’ve jumped on the bandwagon of ‘smashed’ burgers and £13.50 was shocking for its size, chips were £4.50 and £3.50 for a sprite.
They also expect a tip on the card payment before you’ve had any service or food! No thank you, I will reward good service and food afterwards if required and it wasn’t.
With Five Guys opposite, will not be coming back here.
Venture capital ruining another chain, sad to see.

My go-to meal before a film at the Bracknell Lexicon has always been GBK, unfortunately they have lost me and my family as a future customer.

On Friday night I arrived at 18:30 with enough time to order, eat and watch movie at 19:50. Sadly the staff priority was online orders so every single sit down order was delayed. After 30 minutes we enquired to the non-existent staff and were told 5-10 minutes. At 19:30 our order still hadn’t arrived, along with every other order in the restaurant, so we had to request a refund and leave, which started a chain reaction of other dinners requesting refunds.
EITHER THE STAFF IN THIS RESTAURANT HAVE RECEIVED NO TRAINING (ESPECIALLY THE CHEF) OR GBK SENIOR MANAGEMENT HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME AN ONLINE TAKEAWAY RESTAURANT.
FYI: we went to Pineto Lounge next door, explained our rush, ordered burgers, ate them, and got to cinema by 20h00

Dry fries, staff forgot one item to put in the bag, disappointing experience for the second time

Visited GBK Anne’s street, Dublin. No correlation between the quality and quantity of burger served versus the price. No flavor for patty. Chips too pricey. Surely prefer Burger King over this for quality, quantity, taste and price. Will never go there again

Visit Chiswick branch and you will have the worst burger ever and that’s guaranteed. Very thin and burnt. Customer service is awful. Stay away

Clearly others have had a different experience.
But in East Dulwich today, my son and I went in for a burger and chips.
The staff inside were friendly, polite and helpful (including the cook). The burger and chips were really good.
I truly can't fault it. Will happily return, and would suggest that the east Dulwich branch is well worth visiting.

Nasty milkshake. No one should ever buy their milkshake. The new owner messed up a delicious milkshake with sugar water.

GBK Cabot Circus was fantastic on 08/03/2025 - We were with a friend in a wheelchair and several allergies in our party.
We were seated quickly at a table that was ready for a accessibility customer. We were not made to feel like it was an issue and that they were prepared for us which is rare these days! No issues, was ready to go before we even walked in!
Our server was super friendly and helpful, took the time to listen to any allergies and informed us of the right way to order to make sure it was communicated to the kitchen. He even stood and had a joke with us. Anything we needed was provided with speed and a smile!
The service was really quick and there was even little flags in the burgers of those with allergies!
I didn't get the name of our server but he was a taller thin gentleman wearing a shirt under a jumper. I hope he gets some recognition for his work that day because we've never felt so welcomed!
We will definitely be back!!!!!

GBK cribs causeway Staff are fine very friendly no problems with that.
Ordered drinks came quickly.
Had to go up to the bar to gain student discount, annoying but ok
Had to go to the bar to get my refill because there were no staff passing
Waited 40 mins for two burgers and a salad, I mean, burgers are your business, 40 mins!
My chicken was dry and lacked any flavour, my wife’s salad was basically chicken on salad drowned in peanut butter and chillies
Whilst waiting for our food we observed numerous delivery drivers come and go, the food counter was covered in delivery packages waiting to go. Quite clearly they are priority over actual sitting in customers, why, because you are already there, they have you. We joked we should order on Deliveroo to our table it would have been quicker!
We have made a pact never to go back. Poor show all round. Except the staff were friendly.

THEYVE DEFINITELY GONE DOWNHILL “This was supposed to be an enjoyable meal for my Sons special 30 th birthday Chosen by him as it was once his favourite place to eat but no longer! 🥺

“Absolutely disgusting quality and a total waste of money” My stomach was churning whilst eating and l couldn’t enjoy the food l once did”

The Satay chicken breast burger was no more than 3ml thick.like someone cut the chicken breast into 3 slithers you could of put it into a child’s palm to have a perfect fit 😣

* The Satay slop sauce was definitely cheap rubbish from a jar that tasted NOTHING like Satay sauce

* The un toasted bun was so soggy it was even a grade worse than McDonalds also the size of a child’s Happy meal

*The chunky chips had loads of black bits throughout the chips

* The chocolate milkshake was NOTHING like it was before it is soft ice cream mixed with a syrup

* my son and partner had the Taxi driver burgers and said the quality of the meat was grisly and they said theirs weren’t great and made comments like wow they’re seriously cutting corners the quality has definitely gone downhill they also had the same problem with their chunky chips too 😠

* This came to £68+ l would of got a better piece of Chicken breast from Icelands

I used to love Gourmet Burger Kitchen Westfield Stratford. I went there specially. The meat was so nice and fresh salad inside. But today was a great disappointment. They did not have the special offer and the burger I had was horrible. I felt sick after having eaten half of it. The restaurant was half empty and I am not surprised. I complained to the waiter who was extremely nice. The staff is very pleasant but the food has deteriorated. How sad.

I had an order from JBK on Monday the 24th. I complain to Uber and I complained online to GBK. They failed to respond. Uber says they can’t do anything about it if you use GBK in Chiswick and you have an allergy please don’t because they don’t care they take your money and they deliver food and they ordered and they get the order wrong. I ordered a naked burger with with the one without coleslaw or anything like that because I’m allergic to eggs and they delivered and make a burger with coleslaw and salad which I can’t eat because I’m allergic to eggs just don’t use GBK in his.

Used to be the best burger place in the world! Hey Pesto was amazing! Now they changed the entire menu, focusing on smashed burgers! We all LOVED GBK for the amazing grass fed, thick beef burgers. The chicken used to be good, now it's half the size. I will never eat here again and this is such a shame.

I used to enjoy the Blue Cheese Burger . I was worth the premium price GBK apply to their food. That is now not available on Deliveroo and the nearest alternative is a "smashed" burger. I think I would prefer a Big Mac at half the price.

Visited Bristol Cabot Circus Restaurant.
Food was cold when arrived at the table, when we complained it was returned to the female chef who proceeded to shout and swear about us returning food she had cooked. Food came back out, the patty was warmer but fried by then were stone cold and were not replaced. We pointed out to the waiter we did not appreciate hearing the chef complain about us returning food to which he said we should not have heard that !! Surely it shouldn’t have been said in the first place !!
We were offered a free drink but as I had a bottomless one anyway it had no impact, my friend did have a coffee but the whole experience was ruined by then, made worse when told it had been a tough day and were understaffed - does not excuse swearing when food returned so customers can hear it. Will never visit again !!

In the Wimbledon branch, Bartlomiej welcomed us with a smile and found us a table away from the door. He was friendly and helpful and we didn't have to wait too long for our food.
