Gourmet Burger Kitchen Avis 

Called in at the Trafford Centre with wife and granddaughter, GBK staff seemed apathetic just told us how to order from the on table tablet and left us to it, burger was greasy (not in a nice way) as little topping as they could use and weirdly at the bottom of the burger (so not really a topping?) 8 wings for 11 pounds and they were tasteless, two portions of fries (tiny portion) Total bill was over £54. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Just arranged a delivery order. Usually we are very impressed with the burgers etc that we order. Decided to try the smash burgers this time. How DISAPPOINTING!!! Patties were dry with no flavour. Supposed to have cheese, onions, gerkins etc but they were almost non existent. Paid almost £40 for 2 burger meals and they were definitely not worth half that price. May have to consider an alternative venue in the future.

Food was cold and so mixed up it was difficult to identify items, except the beef patty and the cheese and the latter as it had no flavour and resembled a piece of card. Do not order.

The quality of the food is getting worse each year. When GBK first started it was premium quality products used. What I received today was rubbish 🗑 Burger was sweaty and wet tomatoe was not fresh chips poor quality 😢 This is the last time I was order it

Always have enjoyed the food but was disgusted when I ordered through the app and the restaurant would not let me have anything removed from the burger despite the app saying to call the restaurant if any dietary requirements. I have done this many times before with no problem but this time they were refusing and would allow food with my allergy to be delivered. The app did not give any options to change what is in the burger too and mentioned calling the restaurant to do this. Very poor service and the manager (Bluewater) was very unhelpful. Will not be ordering there again due to no concern for allergies or dietary requirements.

BURGER WAS PINK IN THE MIDDLE SO NOT FULLY COOKED! I cooked the burger for 4 minutes in a non stick pan!

The only thing that was right; was the ice cream!!!!

Went to lakeside as had a free birthday burger. Blue cheese burger x 2. It was a slightly small burger for hubby but I found it filling and we both thought it was delicious. Sad the fries are so much on top as they were small portions but it was good value with the free burger. Staff were really great and polite and quick at service. For people that don’t go to, too many meals out it was really nice. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. If they had more offers like that we would return but sadly probably priced out at full price. If you can afford it go though the burgers were great.

We went to eat at GBK Kingston ordering the any burger for £9 on the app. Minimum spend £20. We ordered tge rocket and taxi driver from the main menu as per the t&c with fries and drinks but this was not accepted. We were told that the offer only applied to classic burgers. This was misleading offer. The manager Chinmay and his assistant were very apologetic and courteous but we were very disappointed with the app misleading information

The chicken in my kids meal was off, absolutely stunk like fish - the only way that I realised it was off was that it was for my one year old so was cutting it up and could literally smell it!! Returned with it when confronted about it was simply told they will check the batch!!!! Beware

Went with my family while visiting London for a meal. Very lovely space, not overcrowded, staff was very nice, decent prices and food really good. Placed in the nice area around lots of other little shops and park near by. Very pleased, would recommend to visit.

Always been a big fan of GBK. Still am think it’s the best high street burger. BUT now £12.50 for what was under a tena. Plus shrinkflation has hit big time. Used to get a nice big burger, now 1/2 the size. No one likes paying more for less. Shame I now think twice bout going there

I recently visited the restaurant at Westfield Stratford, and I was very disappointed with my experience. If you want to eat something that tastes like a good burger, stay away from this place. The burger I had did not taste like a burger at all. The beef seemed overcooked multiple times. It didn’t taste bad, but it wasn’t good either. I can’t even describe the taste because it didn’t resemble anything I know. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place if you are in the mood for a burger.

Went to the Trafford Centre GBK where we had been several times before. We were told they were 'trialling' a new menu. Gone were ALL the burgers we used to enjoy, a very limited uninspiring selection of sides. No selection on vegan options, [The original menu still appears on the GBK App btw]. The member of staff who we had never seen before seemed to have the attitude of take it or leave it. Perhaps the previous helpful staff came with the original menu. All that and a hike in price for less. Brilliant marketing.

Burgers were small and average, definitely not worth the price that gbk charge.
Also I find having to pay for items individually instead of a meal on the weekends is a greedy money grab

BRINDLEY PLACE BIRMINGHAM 1stly a positive point is they do not let you in unless you have a table. They expect you to order via tablet also fine! But they also give you the option to add a tip for half doing their job before you receive the food...That'll be a no. I didn't tip. I'm glad I didn't. Drinks were delivered immediately! And then we waited over 40 minutes to receive our basic order of Burgers fries and onion rings.
The reason?? The fact they have Uber eats and Deliveroo in and out of the place all the time.... They get preferential treatment . Customers do not. By the time our order came we had drank our drinks ...no we didn't purchase anymore ,nor were we offered any on the house for the ridiculous wait!!!
The burger was edible. The fries were undercooked. I couldn't be arsed to complain about them. Onion rings were cold and sent back for exchange. Poor service. Very poor. In fact I gave the girls waiting at the door a tip...Don't go in if they were in a hurry to go to a show. They didn't. Best tip of the night....Never recommend ...shocking!

The restaurant in Greenwich is staffed by individuals who show complete indifference and complacency. When not going above and beyond for their valuable customers - they can be found casually slumped over tills and counters, chatting away amongst themselves - blissfully unaware of their roles and responsibilities. Customers appear to be a mild irritation at best - a huge inconvenience at worst.
The food is adequate - but the chips taste like oven chips.
In terms of customer service - well do not expect very much - or anything - and you certainly will not be disappointed.
You may get shown to a table - that depends on whether the staff have finished their interesting and hilarious student anecdote. You have to approach the counter to order - patiently await some attention from a 6ft 6in youth who talks through their greasy fringe - and it's at this time you pay - including a service charge!
The toilets are just about hygienic - but do not always expect a toilet seat - these are considered luxurious to GBK and come at a premium. I think you have to join their "GBK Gang" (see website) to get one of these.

Oh - and don't expect too much from their head office. You can't get a response for love nor money. Their Greenwich restaurant doesn't feature on their website - they're obviously embarrassed about that part of their gang.
Avoid at all costs - and it's not cheap either.

Twice it's taken this branch 45 minutes to an hour to cancel an order after having accepted it. Not acceptable.
The food isn't even that special. Save yourself the trouble and spend your money with a company that deserves it.

Having purchased these seemingly nice patties from Waitrose I assumed they would be nice.
Actually they were not they were insipid so the dog ended up eating them, vet on standby.

Don't offer an option for a 'well done' burger, only to deliver one that is raw inside!
Meal ruined - GBK don't seem to care too much. They haven't responded to many of these comments.
