I love the concept and the products. The toilet cleaner is brilliant. The company responded very quickly to my request to cancel a subscription for an item I'd got too much of.

Only 2 stars why! Homethings dishwasher tablets purchased at Waitrose ! 2 boxes look the same, the tablets however look decidedly different & one lot of tablets doesnt wash the dishes very clean! Didnt realise till after id decanted the tabs ( as i do) & thrown the boxes away. No reply after 2 emails !!

Does what they say on the packet
I have tried so many different products but when I found these I was so very surprised. They actually work! And do what they say!

Good products
I use the dishwasher tablets anyway so was interested in trying out the other products. The toilet cleaner is fantastic. The floor cleaner is good. I havent used the cleaning spray yet. I struggled trying to get the washing up liquid pump bottle to work, so am undoung it to use it. Washing up liquid smells lovely and has lots of bubbles. If it could be in a different container that would suit me. I always struggle with the pump ones.

Good substitutes
I've bought the washing up liquid refills and the dishwashing tabs. The washing up liquid sachets are a definite improvement on having to bulk buy 5L containers for refillable washing up liquid. I then bought the dishwashing tabs because even though I liked the ecological brand I was using I just wanted to simplify my subscriptions and they are equally good.
My only negative comment is that the washing up liquid is not easy to dissolve. I usually have to leave it overnight before the sachet contents fully dissolve.

Regarding the wash-up liquid, it is recommended that the product be left overnight to fully dissolve before use once it has been diluted.

I switched to Homethings a few months ago and I love the whole range of products.
They're ECO, they're british made, they work as good as other supermarket brands , and they smell great. And the refills take up so little space in my cupboard.

Love the washing sheets and dishwasher tablets and have reordered. Unfortunately found the washing up liquid to be too thick in consistency for the bottle (clogged the nozzle too much) and didn't foam well.

Thanks so much for trying our things and for taking the time to give your feedback. I'm really sorry that you haven't found them up to scratch 🤔that's obviously not the experience that we want customers to have.
We set out to change the way people clean with innovations that could really make a huge difference to plastic waste and carbon emissions and we know that to have the impact we want our customers need to be WOW-ed by the products and they need to do exactly what they say on the tin!
That's why we test all our products for efficacy in third party labs before launching them.
With our washing up liquid, we always advise leaving it overnight to fully dissolve for best results. Sometimes, if people use it within 10-15 minutes of mixing the particles haven't fully dissolved into the tap water which means you won't see the bubbles and efficacy that you should see after it is fully dissolved.
In terms of the performance:
You will notice less bubbles with our formula, as we use much lower foaming agents than big brands like Ecover and Fairy. These are surfactants that essentially contribute nothing to the actual cleaning performance other than a sensory or perception that more bubbles = better cleaning. So they are unnecessary chemicals that also cause build up in waterways (e.g. if you go to a water treatment plant you'll see a lot of foam build up!). We originally tried to remove them completely from our first formula for this reason but had a lot of push back and feedback from customers on this so we reintroduced a lower level of these with EU Ecolabel compliant ingredients. That said, our cleaning performance is comparable to Fairy and we use other ingredients such as natural enzymes to contribute to grease busting power. These don't foam up but do have a really good grease removal capability. You can try this by using the product directly on to a greasy pan or oven dish and using a dish brush to clean.

LOVE the idea, dislike the execution
The washing up refills are too clumpy and make refilling a chore - they get stuck to any bit of water and the opening for the bottle is too small. It also clumps over the entry to the pump, so the product squirts out everywhere except where you want it to go. I don't mind the cleaning spray (it dries very quickly though so you have to wipe fast!) but the spray nozzle on the bottle has become ineffective in only 5 months - it only does one pump and you need to wait for it to 'reset' to do a second. I'm so sad because I love the ethos of this company and really wanted it to work, but I just don't think it's for me.

Really happy with the products
Really happy with the products. They do what they say. They last. Tend to buy when there’s an offer as on the pricey side but want to cut down on unnecessary waste and use less chemicals . Overall very pleased x
