We were transitioned from ManyPet insurance coverage for our dog to ODIE last August. Since that time we have had all three of our claims denied. One claim was for standard wellness care and checkup. The latest, and more significant, was for knee surgery to repair a damaged ligament. With the latest claim the fraud they are running became crystal clear. ODIE sends a link to your policy coverages. Not an attachment and nothing in print. You submit a claim based on that stated coverage. They kick the can several weeks with excuses about "higher than normal volume" and "your submitted invoice is blurry", etc to draw out the acceptance process. In the mean time, they edit your policy coverage to include language that specifically excludes the items in your claim. Once your policy is updated they deny your claim and reference the policy (via link). It was very clear in our case - the language was way too specific to our dogs situation. We read our policy (prior to the claims) and knew we should be covered. Then reading the linked only policy suddenly there is very specific, plain language that excludes the very thing we submitted the claim for. Wish we had screen captured (downloaded? not sure that was an option) our policy prior to the claim, then at least we'd have hard evidence for a lawsuit. We will submit a criminal complaint for fraud with the local Scottsdale PD. Avoid this company!
As another customer who recently posted this month, I too liked Many Pets before they got bought out by Odie. Similarly, I've had to advocate and prove myself HARD for claims they've denied. The policies are confusing, they take FOREVER to reply to email and even longer to pay claims, which they like to deny. For example, my pup was recently diagnosed with cancer and was given a treatment plan. First, all the bloodwork and tests that led up to his diagnosis resulted in Odie claiming that the results were "behavioral" where I had to resubmit multiple explanations, receipts, and medical histories of my dog over a span for 4 months. They still have yet to approve it. Second, the treatment medication given to my dog with cancer was denied because, again, it was deemed as "behavioral." I sent a long email appealing to the support team how it was not behavioral. They literally responded back 1 month later telling me I need to fill out an appeals form (which isn't conveniently located on their website). They then make you get a doctor's note, medical history, explanation and other burdensom documents wearing you down as a client. I still have yet to hear back from them and it's been several weeks. Third, my dog also has a heart murmur and I've submitted his medications and was paid back relatively quickly (maybe within 2 weeks?) But recently, I submitted the same medication receipt (that also had his cancer medication as well) and have not been paid after 1 month. My fear is that they're going to reject it for some stupid reason. For the submission of his cancer medication receipt, they claimed that the invoice was "too blurry" and when I checked, it was CLEAR as day. Again, this is the SAME receipt for his heart medication. I'm on the phone now with their representative and laid out how deeply problematic this situation was. He apologized and said that the invoice was NOT blurry and is sending it to their support team to be reviewed again. I wish I could leave as a customer but unfortunately my dog cannot be accepted by other insurance agencies because of his pre-existing conditions so now I'm stuck with this hell hole. Honestly, I might not even be a client after this experience. THEY ARE THE WORST. Do not give them your money. They will DELAY or DENY you and rely on your exhaustion!
I wish I could give 0 stars. My dog was injured at daycare and required emergency surgery — exactly the situation I have pet insurance for. Odie denied my claim after two months for “missing records” they themselves requested and my vet provided, then told me the claim couldn’t be reopened and had to be resubmitted from scratch. To call this incredibly frustrating and inefficient would be an understatement.
I strongly regret using Odie Pet Insurance. Unfortunately, my experience has been just as bad as many of the reviews you’ll find online—it genuinely feels like a complete scam.
I submitted a claim on 2/19 and, since then, have received four separate “update” emails that are clearly automated and provide absolutely no meaningful information. There has been zero real progress or communication regarding my claim, which is incredibly frustrating when you’re relying on timely support for your pet’s care.
At this point, I have no confidence in their service or claims process. I would never recommend Odie to anyone looking for reliable pet insurance.

I was one of the customers who got transferred to Odie from ManyPets. I decided to continue with them (with lower coverage and higher premiums) because the new policy with Odie was meant to cover what was covered under my ManyPets policy. Of course, I don't find out Odie considers my dog's heart condition to be pre-existing (when it was covered by ManyPets for years) until after I submit a claim to them and they deny it. I paid for months of premiums for something that did not cover what I was made to believe it did. They refused to refund me for past premiums on the basis that the coverage was misrepresented to me when I signed up. Had I known the new policy would not continue to cover my dog's heart condition, there would be no way for me to justify paying increased premiums. My premiums were raised at ManyPets year by year because of this condition.
The technicality they got me on was that based on the agreement they have the right to make determinations (separate from what ManyPets had determined previously) regarding the pre-existing condition status of an illness or disease. Of course, this is not done on transfer to the new company, so that it is clear what you are paying for, and if the "same coverage" functionally differs from your previous policy. Instead, it is done after months of paying premiums, when you request to be paid out for claims that have been approved for your dog for years.
How is a potential policyholder supposed to know the new company will make a different conclusion regarding a pre-existing condition status? Especially when this arrangement was set up to allow ManyPets policyholders a means to retain their same coverage? The entire agreement was pitched to us on the premise that this would ensure we would receive coverage for conditions covered under ManyPets.
I read and understood the fine print in the agreement before signing and agreeing to transfer. What I failed to understand is how motivated this company is to screw over customers by purposely obscuring the coverage they will receive.
Probably the worst pet insurance in the world. I used to have ManyPets and from that loved them- they automatically merged with Oldie Pet Insurance and from there my monthly rate skyrocketed and the claim process time takes up to 4 months just to process ONE CLAIM. It is not worth the money at all. You are paying so much out of pocket PLUS the monthly insurance and it's better to just pay the out of pocket cost.
Odie fails to honor its claims and overcharges for its services. Its response times are in excess of what can be considered reasonable by any standard. Odie is an unacceptable provider doomed to go out of business.
Find somewhere else.
If I could give zero stars I would.
This company took over 5 months to process a SIMPLE claim from a routine visit, and never replied to my emails. COMPLETE waste of money. Then they denied my claim, probably knowing I wouldn't waste my time trying to contest. DON'T USE THEM.

Absolutely terrible. 3.5 months to finally get around to denying my claim for medication that was always approved before. Run, don’t walk. They are absolute criminals.

I would give zero stars were that an option. We got switched to Odie after they assumed clients from ManyPets. We didn't switch to a new company because my dog has a lot of health issues, all of which would be considered pre-existing under a new policy. We were assured by Odie that our coverage would continue "uninterrupted." However, they erroneously decided that some of her health issues were pre-existing, despite them being covered by ManyPets. They also erroneously covered some claims and denied the same claims later as pre-existing (they covered my dogs inhaler one month, them denied it the next as pre-existing; how can it be pre-existing if they already previously covered it??) My husband's name was on the policy, and one day, after submitting numerous claims and having them processed, Odie decided that his name had to be on the veterinary invoices (I am the one who takes the dogs to the vet due to my more flexible schedule). Realizing they would no longer cover my claims due to my name being on the invoices, we asked Odie via email to switch our policy to my name. Days later I received an email that our policies for both dogs were canceled. I immediately emailed them (because you can't reach a person via phone), and demanded they explain why my policy was canceled. Days later, got another email that our new policy would start on Feb whatever date. I emailed again demanding an answer about coverage and if our previously covered conditions were now going to be pre-existing. Finally, more days later, I got an email from a person apologizing for the confusion; that in order to put my name on the policy they have to cancel and restart. She assured me my pre-existing conditions would carry over (yet to be determined) but our deductible would restart. NONE of that was explained PRIOR to them taking action; thank goodness we asked for my name to be put on the policy at the beginning of the year! So overall, communication with this company is the worst I've seen: absolutely non-existent. You can't ever reach a live agent for help,(believe me, I've tried numerous times, leaving voicemails repeatedly without response). They take action on client policy without permission, and are inconsistent on what is pre-existing or not, even within their own policy. They also take an egregiously long time to communicate via email, if they even deign to respond at all; I still have email inquiries that have gone unanswered from last year.

Odie is by far one of the most corrupt companies i've ever seen. They require the pet owner to do all the legwork in obtaining records. They literally refuse to pick up a phone and speak. They hide behind keyboards, take MONTHS to process things and make up rules and regulations as they go. There is no shock their CEO failed working for others and decided owning his own business was the way to go!

They take forever to respond to claims. Customer service is terrible. Total scam. Don't buy. I got stuck with them when they bought out my previous pet insurance carrier (that I was very happy with).

We were happy customers with ManyPets for years, but they got bought out by Odie and it has been a terrible experience from day 1. When our plan was taken over by Odie, we were told we would be grandfathered in for claims made under ManyPets so that claims going forward that were covered by ManyPets would not be considered pre-existing conditions. What a joke. I would give Odie 0 stars if I could.
They have dragged our first 2 claims for emergency visits for an injury incurred in December 2026 out for months (it is now March with no resolution), asking for documentation I have already submitted multiple times. I have left 3 voicemails and multiple emails and the only response was an autoreply telling me they can't process our claims without records from BEFORE WE ADOPTED THE DOG in 2021. Their auto-reply emails say they return calls within 2-4 business days and emails within 5 business days. This is a total lie. They have no problem taking our premiums every month, but can't process our claims in a timely manner.
Hate this insurance. ManyPets sold to this company and they are unresponsive. I've called 5 times, emailed even more, and I have never received a response! SO disappointed that Many Pets sold out to this shitty company.
Would give it 0,!! Was transfer from ManyPets to these people! There ridiculous rules of 18mo prior to ManyPets rules is horrible my senior cat had over $6000 for claims over years from 22 with ManyPets! Was going to cancel but then they convinced me to stay because i have a 16yr cat with stable KD ! They went back to early 2021 looking for were he started getting elevated Bun and keratin! Now 743.00 later they denied me after stealing 98.00 month for past 12mon I will be cancel them because everything my cat had been seen for is going to be preexisting condition! So I will take the 100a month
And put it in savings! How do
I get a class
Action law suit started
We had nationwide pet insurance on our last dog. No issues very timely claims paid. When we got our new dog I shopped and went with many pets and they were easy to work with paid claims timely no issues. Now odie has merged with many pets so the it's been horrible. Made a claim for a normal well visit with shots and the heartworm test and heartworm medication. Sent in the claim and got crickets no response. So called and spoke with someone they are now requesting all the vet info from before we adopted her. We found the records from where we adopted her from the rescue when she was 7mos old. Still no action on the claim so called again they said they needed more information from the rescue and they would call them. We asked to speak to a supervisor on 2 separate calls was told they were not available and would call us back and never did. We have filed a complaint with the attorney general. Do not get insurance with this company!!!
Would give zero stars if possible! We have been trying to get a claim processed since December, with no response. We now have a second claim as well and have no confidence that that will be processed either. Planning to take this to small claims court.
SHAME ON ODIE!!! This is the most DELIBERATELY UNRESPONSIVE, DISMISSIVE, UNTRUSTWORTHY, UNCARING, and then and then company I have EVER dealt with. I was a long time, well pleased customer of ManyPets then they were bought out by Odie. ODIOUS ODIE has many CAPTIVE CUSTOMERS because obviously if we switch we will have major precondition issues. I believe a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT is very much in order!!! What Odie is doing is HIGHWAY ROBBERY!!! I am an ordained minister, and I've seen a lot, but I am utterly shocked with their LACK OF ETHICS. They are asking for a date of this experience, and its one of their many BUILT IN TRICKERIES!!! SHEESH!!! Its from the time they took over until now!!! I pray that a reputable company will take over Odie soon and very soon!!! SHAME ON ODIE!!! SHAME SHAME SHAME!!! SHAME ON ODIOUIS ODIE!!!
I would give ZERO stars if I could. This is the WORST company ever! Only time I was able to get in touch with them was when I told them I was finally getting my lawyer involved! I put in a claim in November...it's now February and they are STILL giving me the run around! They kept me on hold for over TWO & A HALF HOURS (I have a screenshot to prove it) and they still didn't answer...I had to hang up! It was like going in circles with them...they needed medical records, I uploaded them, they then said they needed medical records from a date my cat wasn't even born!! They then said I needed more records, I told them I spoke to my vet and those were the complete medical records! They had no problem taking my payment out for two cats during this time! I am currently on hold with them again right now as I write this.
I would give zero stars if I could. Got transitioned to this worst insurance company from ManyPets. No one answers the phone, no response to emails. They keep asking for documentation when you file a claim, submitted one in Nov, until now no response, they keep sending the same email message stating they are swamped and so the delay, but nothing happens. I did not choose this as a former ManyPets customer. Honestly I’ve called 100+ times leaving my info and haven’t gotten one call back. This is absolutely a scam.
