We got married in the beautiful town of Ribe, Denmark, in April – and we couldn’t have done it without the amazing team at gettingmarriedindenmark.com (GMID).

As a mixed couple from Europe and the Middle East, we faced a lot of challenges trying to handle the paperwork in Germany. It was complicated and time-consuming. But with GMID, everything became easy, clear, and stress-free. They took care of all the documents and guided us through every step with warmth and professionalism.

What meant the most to us: they really listened to our wishes. We wanted our dog Rocky to be part of the ceremony – no problem. We needed a date during the school holidays, because of our four children – GMID made it happen. Every detail was considered, and we felt truly supported from start to finish.

I'm writing this 3 days after getting back home from our trip to Denmark, where we got married.

We found Getting Married in Denmark online and after reading reviews, like this one, we chose them to handle the entire process for us, as it is very bureaucratic, as can be expected.

The team was very knowledgable on all the requirements and options available and answered all our many questions.

While the process of gathering all relevant documents and photos required to prove our couple-hood was long and tedious, we understand the team is this thorough because they want to assure us, as much as possible, getting the approval to marry without delays. We did want to get married on a specific date, so that was important.

Everything worked perfectly. We got the approval, they booked our date for us at Copenhagen City Hall, which was really lovely, and the team there were great, putting us at ease, because we were very nervous.

We got our marriage certificates with Apostille very quickly, so everything worked out great.

My only issues were with the speed of correspondence, as conversing by email has delays. And it did end up being very pricey for us as it happened that all our requirements necessitated extra services. But that's just us.

What an absolutely amazing team! From our first contact to the last, we were dealt with with professionalism, care and understanding. Our initial contact was with Sam and Tiago who walked us through the process and answered any questions we had and helped with lots of information even before we had made any payment. We opted for the essential service only at first as we had to get a schengen visa. Our file was prepared by Hilja, who was so patient, especially with my lack of photographic skills on the documents! We were updated quickly about our file and given advice on how to get better pictures and the best way to send them. We had one issue along the way but that was with our schengen application. I requested a letter from Hilja stating that they were organising the wedding for us, as the visa centre wanted proof and it was sent to me within a couple of hours. Once our file was complete we upgraded to the full service, Erma took over and submitted the application for us. She updated us regularly on the status of the application and was so helpful with any we asked l. Thanks to the team our application was approved and the date was set. We got married in Copenhagen Town Hall. What an absolutely beautiful building, the wedding room is stunning. The ceremony, although short, exceeded all our expectations. The ceremony was conducted with such care and love and we were made to feel so welcome and special, as if we were the only couple to get married that day. Thus service is worth every penny, the team know the process and how to apply correctly so it took all the stress away from us. Thanks to all the team, you helped make our special day stress free and memorable.

Having found Getting Married In Denmark via a basic internet search, its actually hard to put into words the help and professionalism of the whole company, without there help we probably wouldn't have got through all the hurdles, but they made a daunting (to us) task so easy, e mails are replied to if not the same day then the next one, as you move through there various departments everybody is so helpful.

We chose the venue of Roskilde and what a brilliant choice it was, everyone we met on the day at the town hall was fantastic to us, they went out of the way to make it special, the time spent with us went far beyond what was expected, we got to Roskilde early and visited the cathedral so so worth a visit, 140 DKK to get in and worth every penny.
If anyone asked us our thoughts on marriage ideas, I would 100% say get in touch with Getting Married In Denmark then just relax and they do the rest for the perfect day.
One further point they are exceptionally good value for money in fact I'd go as far as to say they don't charge enough.
