Easy Gift Purchase - Worldwide
I bought a gift voucher through this site, and the process was really smooth. The website is easy to navigate, the pricing was clear and checkout was quick with no unexpected add-ons. The voucher arrived promptly to the recipient which was great as I was buying it last minute.
Happy with the purchase and would definitely use the site again.

Good, but not a straightforward process
Elements on the search page didn't load. On the booking page, the dropdown time selection didn't work. Also, when I redeemed my voucher initially, it kept saying that the voucher had already been claimed. The copy explaining the user flow could be a lot clearer.

Regarding the message indicating that your voucher had already been redeemed - this appears when a gift recipient has previously redeemed their voucher into their Gifting Owl account. Once redeemed, it’s stored safely in the account and ready to be applied to an experience booking. We understand how this could be confusing, and we’ve made the necessary changes to ensure this is now much clearer!

Great way to get to Whistler without a car: Booking through Gifting Owl was easy and they connected me with a great local provider who was super helpful and had lots of great information about the local area. If you are travelling Canada without a car but still want to experience the Sea to Sky Gondola and the epic Shannon Falls and Whistler, then this is the day trip for you!

The site has nothing but crappy walking tours. Not that you'l be able to find them... the UX is mangled - you'll find walking tours for Lisbon on the search page for London.

Gifting Owl currently lists over 20,000 experiences worldwide, including more than 500 in London alone. While walking tours are among them, we also offer a wide range of other options such as castle and food tours, spa packages, hotel stays, movie set tours, comedy shows, and more.
I wasn’t able to find the specific example you mentioned (a walking tour in Lisbon appearing under London), but I can confirm that some London-based experiences include day trips to other destinations, such as Paris or regions within the UK. Since these tours depart from London, they are displayed within that location.

Three years
Three years, three years we have been looking to book an experience.. but every time we find something suitable for two adults and a kid, there’s no dates.. or just over priced. I mean a photo tour with your iPhone? Why does that cost so much? We live in Switzerland and have been looking at all neighbouring countries plus UK.. it’s really poor pickings for families with young kids.. it’s caused rifts between me and my partner. This was such a well meaning gift, but it’s given us nothing but hours of doom scrolling and still nothing. The support is responsive, but even asking them and chat gpt no one came up with a good option. We’re left feeling bad because we cannot use our 300aus gifted to us by friends. Why should it go into the pockets of this company?

To clarify, all prices and availability on our site come directly from our local experience providers, we don’t add any markup beyond what you’d pay booking directly. Availability can vary seasonally, but we do have over 20,000 experiences and hotel stays worldwide, so there should be plenty to choose from.
We hadn’t heard from you to specifically discuss your options as a family, so we’re really glad you reached out recently. Our support team is available seven days a week to help find suitable experiences, and in some cases, we even arrange external bookings outside our network to ensure every voucher can be enjoyed.

Nice, but clearer website would help
I wasn't sure how to use it at first as the voucher from my son gave a specific experience. When I logged in I think I may have accidentally banked the voucher which gave me less than the cost of the experience available. I could still then buy it but had to put extra money towards it. I think it would be better to have clear warnings about not banking the money and going straight to booking an experience at the start. Also, I almost bought new vouchers instead of buying an experience too as this is the prominent part of when you search for experiences. I think the website could be improved to clearly separate redeeming a voucher, banking a voucher to use later and buying a voucher. It would then be more user friendly. Good idea otherwise with lots of choices.

When redeeming a voucher, the value is securely stored in your Gifting Owl account and remains valid at the original purchase price. On each experience page, you’ll see two options: Book this experience (with the booking calendar) or Buy as a gift voucher.
Please note that while your voucher value is fixed, the total cost of an experience may sometimes differ depending on the date selected, optional extras (such as upgraded tickets), seasonal variations, or price adjustments made by the tour provider. In these cases, additional payment may be required at checkout. As all prices are set directly by our tour providers and ticket partners, this is unfortunately outside of our control, though we do highlight this at the time of voucher purchase.

A cool idea on how to give gifts, the website was easy to use and we are excited to do our activity in October!
One thing that was a bit strange is that although our friend gave us vouchers for a specific experience, we still had to pay more when we booked the experience (it was only 11€ but still a bit strange)

Regarding the additional charge at the time of booking, all prices are set directly by the tour provider. Occasionally, they may update their rates or apply different prices depending on the day of the week or season. This can sometimes create a small difference between the original voucher value and the final booking price. 50th Birthday
My family lives in Australia and my brother together with his family live in Ireland. He is 11 years younger than me and he is turning 50 this week.
