Make sure you pay for the lomond lounge and fast pass security. Bag drop was busy and took an age to get through. Thankfully we booked the fast security and pretty much got straight through. At the other side everywhere was very busy but it was peak holiday time. We booked the Lomond lounge which was quiet, relaxing and great service was offered by the staff. Would book again every time I flat from Glasgow

Not enough staff in security. If you don't want to miss your flight go at least 4 hours before flight.

I was on a BA flight 07:55am from Glasgow Airport to Gatwick. Internal flights we are told get to airport 2 hours before which I did. I had a hold bag to check in & at this point was told the gate number (little did I know why). I went to departures only to find the queue just to scan your boarding pass to get to security was enormous, staff were making us wait to join the queues to get to the scanning machines. Once through the scan machine the queues were snaking around several times. There were only 3 belts open 1 for priority & 2 for everyone else. Whilst in this queue (This whole bit took 2 hours) my gate number came up. By the time I got through security they started boarding. I now had to run through duty free & the inner part of departures, trying to weave around people browsing, before I got to the gate the final call came up. I just made it to the plane but was totally worked up & having a panic attack, the air hostess made me sit down & drink some fruit juice to settle myself. I think they thought I was having a heart attack as I was so stressed. There were plenty of unmanned belts in security & there is obviously need for more staff. My rating for Glasgow Airport is 1 star. If I could give less I would. I will avoid travelling through Glasgow Airport in future.

Thomson HELLidays

Thomson HELLidays, since rebranded, TUI, (T.errible U.nedicated I.diots) I should have flown with, 05 05 09.

Why else would an abominable company rebrand itself?

Escorted off Glasgow premises by what has since become Police Scuttledlands, PC's ABOMINABLE & ABERANT. This, for having the temerity to disseminate, Drs & Lawyers for responsible medicine literature. Ditto, nurses movement for responsible medicine. From which I have never since flown nor never, ever will with neither TUI, nor Scottish airports.

Arrested but not charged in Elgin for demonstrating about as such.

Summonsed to Aberdeen for having demonstrated about as such at Absurdistan airport. Acquitted.

Yet still no flight nor refund.

'Some actions can never be hidden by a smokescreen for they advertise their stupidity & iniquity in ne🔵n lights' former vivisector, prof Pietro CROCE, toxicologist, author of Vivisection or Science: testing drugs & safeguarding health.

AN anti vivisectionist was yesterday cleared of sending a suspicious package to the boss of a Scottish airport.

Andrew Kirk, 50, was charged with breach of the peace after allegedly sending an alarming letter about vivisection to Aberdeen airport on March 19.

The case at the city's sheriff court was Kirk's first in Scotland, despite facing English courts 39 times. Kirk, of Inverness, said he sent the package to protest the airport's alleged involvement in transporting animals for testing.

He said: "I was exercising my right to free speech. To be charged with such an offence is insane."

Badly needs updating

Been in toilets that are better equipped, all front and nae knickers as my mother would say, initially on the perimeter it looks nice enough, but toilets etc old and haggered up to date passport security not working and arrivals are a shambles with not enough staff on to handle the volume of luggage, waited over a hour after a flight for luggage to come through an empty airport, seems all the staff apart from two or three get sent home after 10 it really is from the dark ages and needs totally gutted, not fit for purpose, I live here so god only knows what visitors to scotland think 🙈

Glasgow Airport at its worst

Glasgow Airport at its worst, 3 flights one landed before Tui flight from Gran Canaria one after, big queue at passport control but we seemed to get through quickly, then an hour and twenty minutes waiting on baggage, to make matters worse the customers from the other two flights get their cases and are gone, Tui flight still waiting on cases, not much communication from Airport staff. Get your act together Glasgow.

Baggage shambles

Arrived in Glasgow on time, the only flight arriving around that time. Despite it being quiet we waited over an hour after clearing passport control, for our luggage to be offloaded. The driver of our taxi , who had been waiting , informed us that this was not unusual. Because of a shortage of baggage handlers. Come on Glasgow , this is an international airport..management need to get a grip on this.

This airport is a total joke.what a complete and utter shambles. Arrived in plenty of time for my flight today - but literally hundreds of people in a conga queue to get through security. I said to one of the staff that I would likely miss my flight and she told me to buy for £7 fast track through security- money grabbing as usual by Glasgow Airport. Very few lanes and hundreds queuing - surely they must be expecting these numbers and there should be adequate staff. I’m sure the airport is owned by an Australian pension fund - all they are interested is screwing. as much money as possible out of travellers . Same as for dropping off or picking up from this airport- you are charged a fortune even for a few minutes- why can’t you be allowed say 10mins to pick up or drop off ? Just any method to screw more money out of customers. If I could I would have given no stars .

Security Staff and Luggage Point

Just want to thank the security staff (didn’t get their names) and Lynn and Amit from Luggage Point. You are AMAZING!
I left my holiday money at Starbucks, luckily for me a lady handed it in but didn’t get her name. I was in Duty Free before I noticed. Mad dash to get in back, thanks to those mentioned xxx

Crap parking at a premium price

Would give them no stars if that was possible. Official NCP Long stay parking is a joke. Gravel weed strewn vast yard with barely any spaces free. Overpriced. Nowhere for free pickup to stop even though they offer 1 hr free. Don’t be tempted to try and take the shuttle bus to the airport to meet and assist anyone as the shuttle buses are about 30mins between them. There is talk of buses every 10 minutes but that is a total joke. Certain times of the day or days of the week they simply don’t bother putting on enough buses. Just one more part of Glasgow airport’s continuing mission to provide crappy service and gouge their customers at every turn. Sadly we have little choice to use them and boy do they know it! They should equip their staff with masks and big tricorn hats so they at least look like they are committing highway robbery.

Stressful day

My grandma needed assistance and we got told do go and have a coffee and then we came back and the reception lady said she had been looking for us so the lady that was pushing my nan around the airport didn’t ask if we wanted to go and put are luggage in hold she never asked us that she just went straight to security and then we got there and the lady was quite rude ruffling all through are suitcases and me and my nan had stuff in are suitcases that were 100 ml they chucked that in the bin like air-sole deodorant and body mist and my man bought back some jams they were like 50 ml 60 ml and they chucked them as well🙄. Then we got of the plane in Stansted my nan gets customer assistance and then the wheelchair wasn’t even there it has been a stressful day.

Blue badge holders are ripped off

Blue badge holders are advised on the webpage that they have 30 minutes free parking and to have the number of the blue badge ready to contact the customer assistance when leaving. However no-one is available to assist despite numerous buzzer pressings and you are forced to pay for your parking as you cannot leave without paying a fee.
This fee has to be by card or phone not cash. It is a deliberate rip-off to all disabled people and they have zero customer service available for the disabled; especially in the evenings. Do not use if possible as no-one here cares about disabled customers.

Lady on reception was excellent but once through into the lounge it went down hill rapidly. Very limited choice of hot food curry or pasta and soup. When I asked for a soup spoon at the counter I was rudely informed that if I wanted a spoon I had to get it myself from the other end of the counter. While waiting to be served at the bar we could hear the staff talking to each other loudly saying that they would be glad when this lot ( meaning the customers) were out of here. Overall we had the impression that all the customers in the lounge were an inconvenience to the staff and as the service from this lounge has been getting worse over the past few years it will be our last time we book here.

Firstly only one star as no option to give no stars.
After landing at Glasgow airport I returned to my car in the long stay carpark to find out I was held against my will in said car park and not allowed to exit. After speaking to a totally useless member of staff through a intercom system what was also very poor and not very audible at times. long and short I was imprisoned for a ridiculous amount of time spoken too as if it was my fault the the member of staff was unable to open a selfie service barrier. Abrupt member of staff need training on how to open a barrier. Absolute terrible place to park now. won't use this worse than average service ever again this was at approx 15.45 on the 30/07/24 and yes it was all pre paid

Beware the extra charges

I use Glasgow airport parking all the time.
But I made an error while booking my parking. I booked for six days instead of the seven. This was my error. But was told by the attendant at the exit barrier via the intercom that I was two days late and owed one hundred pounds as a late charge.

To cut a long story short. I was told that I would not be allowed out of the car park until I paid the extra £100. This parking has now cost me £180 for seven days!

Good and bad

Glasgow International Airport is my favourite to fly from in Scotland. It's coming back is the problem. In general going away is OK. Staff are usually helpful at security and although we don't use them much bars and restaurants are plentiful.
Unfortunately when you return that's when the problem starts the main one being the arrivals hall for border control. Low ceilings, not big enough to accommodate passengers from two flights at anyone time and people feeling herded in like cattle. It's the worst arrivals hall I have ever experienced anywhere.

OMG I'm Scottish but seriously the staff are shocking, passport control, staff VERY stern for no reason, yes safety is paramount but come on, at least put a smile on your face, it's a airport NOT a prison, but that's where you thought staff should be working, as Scotland we really should know better.

Restaurants & Bars - not what you expect from an airport

No issues with checking or security it's the restaurant & bar issues that frustrate me & makes me wish I'd flown from Edinburgh. Queues everywhere, practically impossible to get aaseat never mind a table for a drink. Glasgow badly needs a nice, drinks only bar for a relaxing hour before boarding a flight. Very few shops & Boots & WH Smith's prices are ridiculous. Go prepared to pay over the odds for a drink & expect to queue.
