From pledge to product
Saw the Glorb on Facebook via kickstarter and was immediately hooked.
This was the first time I’d pledged on kickstarter, but I just knew I had to be involved.
The team at Glorb kept everyone up to date with progress, news and ‘teaser’ videos.
The team were also on hand to respond to queries from any impatient pledges.
There was a Facebook community set up that grew rapidly and everyone united to help each other with queries and answers.
There were shipping delays but that was to be expected. Everything turned out alright in the end.
Very happy with the service, communication and the product. Would love a glorb in a much larger size…hint hint!

So happy with my purchase, should have got more
I was a kickstarter backer and I am so happy I was. First, there was an issue with shipping and after sending and email, it was corrected within a few days. I was so happy that they were as good about this as they were because I would have not received my Glorbs if they hadn’t worked with me. Now that I have my two glorbs I wish I had purchased more. I love the app and the ability to play with the colors and patterns and I can’t wait for more app options come out. I hope one day for a giant waterproof glorb that I can have outside

Qualität und Software mangelhaft!
Auch wenn der Glorb wirklich durchdacht ist, gibt es zwei massive Nachteile. Zum einen, die Verpackung und vorher die Qualitätssicherung muss ausgebaut werden. 4 von 4 Glorbs sind an mehreren Stellen nicht vollständig geschlossen. Es bestehen teilweise große Löcher zwischen den einzelnen Teilen der Außenhülle! Das darf nicht sein. Und schon alleine diese erheblichen und nicht zu reparierenden Mängel würden dazu führen, die Lampen wieder zurück zuschicken. Geht aber nicht, weil Schweden Deutschland sehr kostenintensive Versandkosten beinhaltet. Das ist keine Qualität, das ist schlecht und mangelhaft, bezogen auf die grundsätzliche mehr als mangelhafte Qualität in der Verarbeitung der Lampen. Oder der Versandverpackung. Wer weiß schon, wo der Fehler wirklich lag. Was nützt der Schutz der Technik, wenn alleine die Hülle der Lampe Lücken hat? Richtig, es gibt keinen Schutz! Und zerstört den Effekt und auch die Nutzung der Lampen. Das ist nicht akzeptabel und einfach nur verlorenes Geld! Also entweder muss die Qualität und die Qualitätssicherung steigen und der Verpackungsschutz, oder Glorb wird untergehen. Zweitens. Die Software für Android existiert bei Auslieferung nicht. Die Workaround Lösung ist sehr schlecht und nicht nutzbar. Also auch nicht vorhanden. Die Software für IPhones ist zwar irgendwie nutzbar, aber auch sehr weit von Benutzerfreundlichkeit entfernt. Wenn zumindest eine kleine REMOTE Controll mit im Paket wäre, damit die Lampe intuitiv und ohne Smartphone steuerbar wäre, wäre schon geholfen.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We’re really sorry to hear about your experience with GLORB. That’s not the standard we aim for, and we truly appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention.
Since you were part of our first batch—either as an early adopter or a Kickstarter backer—you’ve experienced the very first production run of GLORB. As a fresh startup trying to make it in a very tough industry, we take quality issues very seriously, but we also realize that we will make mistakes when starting up. For our next batch, expected to restock in May, we are making improvements to both the packaging and hardware to enhance durability and ensure a better overall experience.
Regarding the gaps in the outer shell, that’s absolutely not how GLORB should be. While most of these issues are fixable for the customers, some are not and for those we replace the unit. Gaps should however not be there in the first place and we are actively improving quality control to prevent such issues. Have you already been in contact with support@glorb.me? We always do our best to find a solution for backers and customers who experience issues, and we’d love the chance to help make things right. If you haven’t received satisfactory support, please reach out again, and we’ll see what we can do.
On the software side, we acknowledge the delay of the Android app and sincerely regret the inconvenience. While we’ve provided a temporary workaround, we know it’s not ideal. Our team is actively developing a cross-platform app in Flutter, which will be our main app moving forward. It’s currently in early beta, and you can test it here:

As for a remote control, we’ve researched and prototyped solutions but haven’t yet found a cost-effective option that meets our standards. That said, we are continuing to explore viable solutions for the future.

Wow!!! I had high hopes before receiving this very unique product, however when I set it up (a very easy process) it exceeded my expectations by a very long way. It’s absolutely incredible. I have it set up in my dining room and provides such a fantastic ambiance and atmosphere. Countless options on colours, themes, intensity of light and movement. The GLORB comes in a sturdy packaging which includes a USB-C adapter, a base and a little cable hook for a comfortable ceiling installation – huge plus. Once plugged in I was instantly mesmerized by it’s many different lighting modes which can easily be adjusted through the SNRGY App. Sometimes it even seems like the GLORB is alive. Truly, this lamp feels like an art piece when it’s turned off and looks like some type of hextech when it’s on.
For those who are into ambient lighting, I can only recommend!
