GMIB.ie Insurance Brokers Avis 

No consistency with quotations
On 9th August I was quote Euro 457.61 for home insurance via the Company's website.
Two subsequent emails asking on how to proceed as no links were provided, ignored and unanswered.
Today, I was told that the figure quoted " was only a rough estimate " and the best quotation would be just under E 590 !
What a shamble - the Company profess to obtaining the best quotes for their customers !
Needless to say, I did not nor will not pursue insurance purchases from this outfit.

Very good to deal with very fast response reasonably priced for first time drivers

Beware of small print on page 2 maximum broker fee charge of €400
Deplorable communication and beware of their loan shark premium credit. They charge 10% interest.
Won’t ever deal with them again.

Unprofessional. Lack true knowledge of the business and the scope of their role as a broker. When on hold you can hear staff in background discussing policies with other customers. Had to call England to resolve a financial error made on their side. Extremely expensive. Didn't renew.

No struggle when I needed to added my husband to my insurance. I received a refund for over payment.
The disc also came on time.

They sent my insurance to my previous address, revealing my actual address to my ex-partner, whom I was legally protected. Cheap car insurance, but the danger they put my family in wasn't worth the price

But the calls would take longer and longer. You’ll be frustrated hearing the advertisements.

I would love to give zero stars. Waiting to get through to an agent for 50 minutes. Eventually got through to a very nice lady, Rachel. Not her fault, but facilities for call answering is absolutely diabolical. Having received my email for insurance update, I can't link to refund details. An absolute disgrace.

When I lived in Ireland, I had a VW Golf, which was insured through this broker. I sold the car and emigrated in March 2026. I called to cancel my policy, posted off the discs, and kept getting charged anyways. I tried to contact the company via email on Monday morning, recieved a reply Tuesday evening, and an hour or so later got charged for another month of insurance on a policy I had tried to cancel multiple times on a car I sold months ago in a country I don't even live in anymore. Daria Cichon, you are far too slow to reply for a customer service agent.
