I have had a terrible time with this company. Nothing has been simple with them, their customer service replies with ludicrous proposals and does not listen.
Some context: I purchased a large roller duffel from them. Upon receipt, I realized it was too large for my needs and wrote back, asking to exchange for a smaller size. Instead of hearing my request, they proposed money back on the larger bag, offered me a coupon on a future purchase, everything BUT what I requested. Given the hassle and difficulty of this encounter, I just kept the damn bag and decided to try it out on a trip... Only for the primary zipper to fail, leaving my possessions exposed. I wrote them immediately, asking for a refund, only to be rebuffed with another offer for a small token amount of money back. They do not seem to understand that I am unhappy with the product, I have lost faith in it, and the best thing they could do (from a customer service perspective) is accept the return and try and save the relationship with the customer.
To summarize:
-Atrocious customer service
-Subpar product
-Zero ownership of the problem

I purchased Gonex compression packing cubes directly from their website (because I do everything in my power to avoid ordering from Amazon, which is a horrible company). I ordered well ahead of my planned travel (like over 3 weeks) but unfortunately Canada Post's strike foiled my plans. I contacted Gonex to be sure that they would ship through another carrier. They were responsive and when it became clear that my package was going to be in limbo indefinitely they offered to ship me another set via Amazon to be sure I'd have them before I left. And at no charge (so I will eventually have 2 sets). Wow. Talk about going above and beyond. Despite this strike being outside of their control they communicated with me numerous times and even checked up to ensure delivery had occurred. In my experience, no company has ever gone as far as they have to ensure customer satisfaction. And the packing cubes are high quality; both in terms of the material and even more importantly, the zippers. I have full confidence I'll be able to use these for many travel adventures to come!
