Refused Service During Metro Suspension

I went to get on a GNE bus with a metro ticket during a metro suspension. The driver said they didn't accept metro tickets. I explained I had got to town on a GNE with a metro ticket along with at least 20 other metro passengers because of the suspension. The driver accused me of being a liar and claimed he had checked with his control earlier on. He then said I had to buy a ticket or leave the bus. Other passengers stood up for me yet the driver refused to check with his control and said I'd have to give him money for a bus ticket or leave. I let everyone know this driver was only after extra money. In the end I had to walk 2 miles home. I made a complaint and the company said they would have a word with the driver because their policy is to accept metro tickets during route disruptions. They offered me a complimentary ticket on the app which I never claimed. I don't like technology, I refuse to own a mobile smart phone, I wanted a paper ticket, they couldn't or wouldn't provide one. THIS COMPANY EMPLOYES THEIVES!

X1 should add another stop springwell ave

Where I live at Wallace Gardens NE9 if I want to go to the galleries Washington I have to walk up to the springwell inn catch the 56 to Wrekenton then wait for the X1 to the galleries, and on my return exactly the same and they are never on time. Being disabled doesn’t help, today I just went back home and missed another food shop because the x1 should stop at the springwell Inn either side of springwell Road. This company doesn’t care about the public mostly the elderly.

Inconsistent times

I’m writing to raise a concern regarding the Low Morsely route at The Crescent. I rely on the 08:10 service daily, but it frequently passes the stop at 08:08. While I understand this may not be a formal timing point, departing early makes the published schedule impossible to rely on for those of us arriving on time.

It’s frustrating to see the bus gain time by skipping stops early, only for that time to be used for 5-minute driver breaks later in the route. I’d appreciate it if the drivers could be mindful of the schedule to ensure passengers aren't left stranded despite being on time. I’d love to see a bit more consistency so I can continue using the service

Oh no not again.

Yet again had to walk a mile to get a bus into Newcastle...x73 broken down again how many times is the for march now .. instead of giving big bonuses out try buying some busses that actually run ...come on Stan get that bus out....I hate you butler.

Busus are always running late

Busus are always running late. When busus are on diversion driver tells nobody I ended up walking 30 mins from the bus stop it first stopped at. Not even the display said on diversion.

Awful driver

Female driver with short grey hair and glasses driving the x1 from Eldon square to easington was very rude. Terrible customer service. The driver scraped up the curb and was harsh breaking every two minutes.

I left my mobile phone on the X73 to Stanley, it was handed in to lost property at Consett depot, I went up twice to ask if it had been handed in, I had even tracked my phone to it actually being there, it hadn,t been logged into their system of lost property for that day it had been handed in. Also it wasn,t in the cupboard with all of the lost property, but had been left somewhere else in the building. The member of staff was very inconsiderate both times and not helpful at all, I only got it back because I had shown them my tracking proof that it was there, and another member of staff looked somewhere else. Before I left I suggested they change their system for people's lost property to be told I shouldn't,t have lost my phone. It cost me £300 to buy a new mobile because I had been told that mine was not there!! Unbelievable!!

Don’t bother getting the bus

You can’t mark it lower than 1 - 1 is far to generous
Just take a taxi and it will save you waiting for a bus that doesn’t turn up
6 days in a row busses haven’t shown up, customer service is utter useless as they just say sorry and that’s it

The no 32 bus that goes to Sunderland…

The no 32 bus that goes to Sunderland has to go through Hetton le Hole. Due in Caroline street around 6.44am. The amount of times this bus has not turned up is a disgrace. Complaining is pointless. You get all sorts of silly excuses. I wish they didnt have a monopoly in Sunderland and Newcastle.

Very Poor Service

Used the bus for the first time in a long time and won't be using it again for a long time! It didn't even turn up (X70) so I was late for all subsequent appointments. The next bus that did turn up (X71) had no working usb points so unable to charge my phone. Overall a dismally poor service and a reminder why I prefer not to use the bus.

Unreliable bus service

Unreliable bus service! Bus 65 did not show up leaving me and I'm sure many others stranded on a Monday morning!!! Mind you this bus comes every hour. People like me have work commitments to meet up to and others school, hospital appointments etc.
Go North East you need to do better!

Rude driver

There is this one driver that drives number 10 buses is an absolute prick he is old and wears glasses and also wears a black beanie. Please be aware multiple times he charged me 2£ instead of under 21 1£ ticket make sure to check your tickets after purchase!!! Not even that but he also drives recklessly and on multiple occasions i would put my hand out and he would zoom past looking at me and won’t stop. I have seen him do that to other people as well if i ever get on when he drives.

Miserable drivers

Miserable drivers, filthy buses inside and out. Unreliable service on most routes. Needs a complete overhaul from top management right down to the drivers

Lack of Customer Service

I don’t usually take the bus as I drive, but I knew I had to get the bus after taking my car to the garage and had my baby niece with me at the time. I asked the driver how much it was for the baby and he said “you don’t pay” in a way as if I was stupid, (again I don’t take the bus so I wouldn’t know), so I asked him for a single, he stated the fare and I apologised for not knowing because I’ve never took my nieces or nephews on a bus before, he rolled his eyes and stated the price again. Now, I understand that he may have wanted to be on time for other passengers and had no time to talk I totally get that, but with the lack of reassurance he just seemed like he was sick of his job. I’ve only put 2 stars because the bus was on time but the way he spoke to me was abysmal.

Shame it is bus 94

Shame it is, the bus 94 the Tyne valley bus, is so disappointing, doesn’t come on time, skips certain time and comes in late, this is unfair people are stranded that the way to college, many business organisations and you are disappointing your customers. Again today keeps happening almost all the time.Hope something can be done to this.
