Very effective product. I bought this towel to replace a towelling turban style. It's way better, it draws out the water from my hair really thoroughly and leaves it smooth and ready to blow dry. I have very straight hair, prone to tangling, and the towelling version used to leave it frizzy and tangled at the front. It's also much lighter to wear and stays in place, although I had to get the knack of securing it. The prints are fun and I like the fact that it comes without any plastic packaging and is made from deadstock.

I have short curly fine hair. My hair was as wet when I took the towel off as it had been when wrapped in it straight from the shower. Perhaps after a wash of the towel things might be different. I sure hope so. The towels get rave reviews so I was hoping for better results.

I love these towels. They are easy to use and gentle on my hair. I have bought several to give to friends and always pop one in my case if I go away.
I was pleased to hear that they are available in Australia too as my sister lives there and is now a convert-she can now order her own.

I was recently sent a hair towel by Carla from Good Wash Day, which I found to be lovely and soft, whilst at the same time very absorbent. This product is made from jersey cotton and seems a lot more gentle on my hair than the regular towels I have used in the past! I definitely recommend these to anyone thinking about buying one!

I don’t normally buy products as a result of seeing them on Dragon’s Den but I was so impressed by Carla’s pitch and the description of the product, that I became very interested in the idea of a Good Wash Day towel as it sounded like something which would work for me.

Whilst on first look they seem expensive, once you own one, they are so worth the money.

The texture of the fabric is AMAZING. Soft, non irritating, no massive labels stitched in an inconvenient place (eg the back of your neck) to get in the way!

The colours/patterns are vibrant and fun.

The actual hair drying power of the towels are brilliant. I have very thick hair which is now developing a new curl to it. Previously other brands or even unbranded towels, didn’t dry my hair at all but simply left it feeling as if it had never even seen a towel, let alone had one wrapping it up to dry it!

A GWD towel is brilliant - my hair now dries in about 20 minutes with just the towel (written in summer 2025 when it’s been warm!) and currently I don’t need to use the hairdryer at all. When I have used the hair dryer, it’s been at least half the time of before!

Plus the towel itself does get rather wet but somehow dries very quickly. Brilliant!

The size of the standard towel is very generous (I’m actually glad I didn’t order the extra large as I’d have been swamped!)

The towels are beautifully packed and the instruction/care card enclosed is really well laid out.

Overall I’m really pleased with my purchases and I’ve had several friends and colleagues (thanks to online work calls) asking me about my GWD towel.

I also love the charitable and supportive heart behind the business where others benefit from fabric offcuts and towels are donated to those experiencing chemotherapy. All round brilliant!

My goodwash day towel arrived quickly with lovely packaging. Used it today for the first time and what a treat, it didn’t fall off my head nor did it feel like I need a neck brace for the weight of a normal towel, as it was light and very effective. Bizarrely my hair is a lot smoother today and I didn’t do anything else different. Already thinking that my daughters will be getting one for Christmas!

The towels do not wash well at all. I washed it when it arrived to use it but it collected all the lint from the wash. There was nothing usual about the wash I did. The customer service I received from Carla was appalling. She was blaming me for the fault and not offering any resolution. Don’t waste your money.

I got 2 towels, one for myself and one for my mum. None of us found it beneficial to use good wash day towels. I have long, thick hair, and that towel is supposed to reduce drying time- I've not experienced that. I wore it in March, where it was still quite cold, and wearing it on my head for 30 minutes to 1 hour added to some discomfort. I could feel wet hair, which made me feel colder. It was not comfortable. I felt I wanted to put another towel or a blanket on my head to keep myself warm. I tried this towel in warmer months, and the experience was much better, so not sure how others find it in different seasons. Normally, I would wash my hair and, within a few minutes, start drying it, which usually takes some time. However, 20-30 minutes and I am done. With this towel, I waited from 30 minutes to 1 hour (after 30 minutes, my hair was still very wet, so I waited for a longer time). My hair routine extended to 1.5 h. I didn't notice any difference in my hair. I just noticed I was spending more time on my hair routine than before, which was not practical. My mum has thin, short hair - she hasn't noticed any difference after using the towel. She also found that it wasn't very practical to carry it on her head for 30 minutes and then dry it. You will need to leave this hair routine to a time of day that you are really free, without rushing for work or a meeting. The plopping part - it looks very nice on the website and promotional videos, but in practice, not so great. My mum tried, and although she got some curls, her top hair looked frizzy. I gave 2 stars for quick delivery and nice design.

I have been using my new GWD hair towel now for only 2 weeks & I am very impressed with it. It miraculously soaks up almost all the water from my hair with no rubbing or squeezing. I am currently suffering hair thinning due to the cancer meds I take. My new towel is kinder to my hair, it is far less frizzy, seems to be less breakage & less knotting. The towel dries quick too so no more soggy hair towels in the bathroom!
I am very pleased to have found the Good Wash Day hair towels! Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing customer service, I would recommend to anyone!

I originally purchased a jewels collection wrap and was so impressed that I have invested in two more in the end of lines Rainbow edition. They take the faff out of using a towel to make washing your hair a real pleasure. Clara, who I first saw on Dragons Den is such a can do person and she even sent my second order quickly as I requested. I can only wish her well and thank her for making such a useful wrap to make washday a pleasure.

Just a-nice honest lady who sells a great product. Have no hesitation recommending. It is especially useful for someone like me who had stroke can get out of shower and sit with this towel over my head to relax and let it do the brilliance conditioning. Wonderful. Sandra Moore

This is quite a remarkable piece of cloth! A hair towel unlike any of the others I’ve used over the years.
It takes most of the water out of your hair but leaves it beautifully manageable and if, like me, you don’t like to leave your hair to dry naturally, it takes much less time using a hair dryer.
If you do like to leave your hair to dry naturally, it gives wonderful, wavy curls!
This is so simple and organic, I won’t be using anything else from now on.
I can highly recommend this product to anyone. Ten out of ten !!

Saw this on Dragon's Den and thought that's a fantastic idea, with my fine hair towels are just too heavy. The different fabric designs are fantastic and super fast delivery too. Love the fact Carla still operates the business from her kitchen. Highly recommend.

I brought this hair wraps over a year ago but really want to let everyone know how great this pure thick cotton towel ‘which dries the hair better than any normal body towel is. It leaves the hair lovely and keeps it healthy & silky without causing any split ends. If you want to keep your hair in good condition I would definitely recommend this!

I love my hair towel. My hair feels silky and looks shinier. A few minutes with the hair dryer gives it body with no need for straighteners. So it saves energy and money at the same time.
