Purchased what I thought were complete…

Purchased what I thought were complete upper “handguards”. Was that just upper pieces. They are worthless without the lower pieces $3100 for 41 pieces. They were listed as PS products only 18 of them were PS products, of the 41. they refuse to refund me my money refused to give me an address to return the product.
Quoted some government numbers in a picture like as consumers were supposed to know what these numbers mean. When you Google those numbers it takes you right back to there auction sites doesn’t give any explanation of the item they’re selling, very deceptive.!!

Waste of hard earned money and time.

if you have money to waste then govplanet, ironplanet, ritchiebros is the best place by far. I bought an item and paid for it in November of 2022. I still have no title. If you see an item that states "IRONCLAD ASSURANCE" definitely don't bid on it. Something I bought for 5500 ended costing me almost 14000 which i cant title or use. EXPENSIVE LAWN ART.

I bid on and won 4 shipping containers

I bid on and won 4 shipping containers. I made my bid based on the photos and the pictures. Nowhere in the description did they mention damage to all four containers and none of the 8 pictures showed the sides of the damaged containers. all four have major damage. after driving 16 hours round trip and the cost of the auction I'm out $800 will not use this site again and you should use caution.

It’s all Big lie they selling the same item every week they raising the prices you bid until you hit the high price they let it go otherwise they raise the price and they saying it’s sold but the next week after you see the same item again they lying to people I don’t know how they still exist all liars.

My Opinion based upon fact is: I Had been with GovPlanet for at least 5 years, spent tens of thousands of dollars with them, they used to be good. Once the Canadian Ritchie Brothers took over, their Customer Service went Into the Toilet as they don't care about 'making it right'. I don't know why the US Government would allow a Foreign Company to Reap Huge Profits from Selling American Tax Payer Acquired Assets back to the Public. Seems to be a conflict of interest in that alone/ some non-appropriate sweetheart deal. I brought it to their attention with fact, photos, and videos that one of their Yards was falsely advertising item quantities, or selling items they had already sold only to drive down there to pick up your purchase only to find them sputtering around the yard with no explanation as to why the item was not available for pickup. I just disputed the charges on my credit card after their Customer Service (in name only) showed itself to be shamefully inefficient, uncaring, and down right corrupt (won't even address an issue properly) to the point of looking like it was engineered to oppress/exasperate the Customer base who had negative business experience complaints. They seem to ONLY value you as a customer if they can get away with ripping you off, you say nothing, as soon as you look out for yourself and bring this to their attention they will ban you across all their sites being the petty tyrants / 3rd world dictator's that they are. They are not a customer centric company who care about cultivating good long-term business relationships, they have a short-term cash-cow mentality. I was able to recoup my money (thanks to my credit card agency), but the costly unnecessary mis-trips were not reimbursed to me. When asked why they banned me from all their platforms, they said it was because I disputed a charge on my credit card. When I asked them to show me where in their policy that I didn't have the right to do this if the item isn't there when I get there, or the wrong quantity, they could not show me this in the agreement I signed with the. It was selective/arbitrary/capricious. I'm quite certain that the agreements between credit card payment agencies will super cede any GovPlanet agreements because until I pay the Credit Card agency, I have a responsibility towards the credit card agencies money. Some of their leadership have blogged on linked in, virtue-signal about the company being a noble social justice warrior, but are easily shown to be a hypocrite when turning a blind eye to facts about the companies own injustice/unfairness in dealing with their paying customer complaints. Bad Character. They did not seek to correct / reprimand their own affiliate yards after terrible yard-level ego-driven customer service was laid bare and tried to project on the customer that they are in fact 'the bad-guy' without any credible/viable proof. That's what you will be dealing with should you have an issue. One day, with the numbers of all the people who have had bad experiences with the company steadily Increasing, I half expect them to be brought into a Congressional Hearing with a Federal Prosecutor like Trey Gowdy grilling the leadership before Congress, followed by a trail of the thousands of willing customers in attendance more than eager to share the details of their frustrating experiences. I'd like to see their leadership try and pull some of their face-saving Customer service tricks during that hearing expecting to get away with it. I mean the DLA is supposed to have some sort of NoFear whistleblower act, where if you see something and say something you can't face any reprisal/backlash. This should go at least double for any Foreign Company managing US Assets. The DLA Should be all over this sort of mismanagement of public assets sort of thing.

They do not qualify their bidders you can be any pimple-faced 18 year old kid bidding on an item with no intention of paying for it just for the thrill of winning a bid over the last 3 months 17 of the items that I bid on the least of which was $16,000 the highest was $27,000 I was outbid in the last 30 seconds this is normally not a problem however two weeks later the same items come up for bid because the dumbass that outbid me didn't have any f****** money this is b******* qualify your damn bidders

I recently purchased a Ford explorer taken out of service by the Maine state police. The transaction went flawlessly except for my bank flagging the transfer because of all the negative reviews. I assured my bank I was aware of the risks and everything went smoothly after that. All the negative reviews I see are from people buying demil surplus not realizing that they need to file an end user certificate and getting mad that the government takes their time with that paperwork.

I purchased several trucks from them…

I purchased several trucks from them going on blind faith that the report was accurate. They were not even close. One has a transmission that is blown, none of the lights work etc,
The other one the steering column is all messed up and will not show what gear it is in nor can you lock the steering wheel. Many other things were wrong and they will not take responsibility for any of them. They are penny wise and pound foolish.
My recommendation is to not even look at your site as you have a 66% chance of being burned.
They ignore and deflect all of my questions.

What a terrible company and horrible experience! I bought a "starts and runs" truck end of June. I paid immediately. They didn't start processing my euc necessary for me to take ownership for weeks. No communication. When it finally came in October, I paid to have it picked up only to find someone had stolen parts and cut wires. They said not their problem. Got it fixed enough to move and shipped. November get it to my house. I found many other issues where it isn't as advertised on their site... Still not their problem according to them. Here it is December 24th it's sitting on my side yard and I can't register it as they still have not gotten me the sf97 necessary to register it. Can't put it on the road. Again, not their problem according to them. One person even told me they didn't submit for my sf97 till November even though I paid in June. Why? Because "so many people abandon their vehicles that are then sold to other people". I get why. because they make it unbelievably hard to even get the damn things. I'm sure they love to resell them a couple times.

Compresser …

I bought a large 2 stage compressor had freight company pick it up had a total of over $1100.00
when I tried it ,it did not work After taking apart the head we found that the piston , connecting rod and bearings were gone.I understand that it might need work because it could not be checked and I have no problem rebuilding it with new ring gaskets etc But someone took the inside parts out and put it back together to make it look good . That is deception. Gov planet should go back to the person placing the Item for sale . This should have been sold for parts only

Purchased a vehicle for my business

Purchased a vehicle for my business. I tried to do the early payoff via the finance they told me I had to use which is Balboa Capital. I can't stress enough how much of a bunch of crooks Gov Planet and Balboa Capital are. I literally owe 3800 more than what I bought the vehicle for plus a years worth of payments. I understand interest much this is beyond ridiculous. DO NOT use this site or Balboa Capital.

Crappy company without proper personal why is this company still in business? Fill charged against the company. Have a federal investigation against the company. There are steps that can be taken against the company. It is illegal to steal it's called grand thieft if it's a vehicle or anything over 250.00. They law will make sure that 25 years in the prison WILL HAPPEN. That need a lesson in company respect if that are going to be in business. Good luck to everyone who deals with this company.

Do yourself a favor and stay away. This company’s customer service is horrible. They do not care about your business at all. I purchased an item and never got confirmation or address where the item was to be picked up until after 8 days of which they then tell you item is abandoned and that I cannot come get it and they will sell I on my behalf. Then after six months goes by they sell it then are all the money or storage. THESES PEOPLE ARE CROOKS.

Helpful Matthew on a Big Cat Loader

I have been buying from Govplanet for some time, But I never had a person to be as helpful
polite courteous patient as your employee name Matthew, He drive a big Cat loader. I tried to give Matthew a 100 dollar tip to get a steak dinner and a cocktail after work. He would not take it. So I through the bill in the Loader and told him it was some trash on the floor of the Loader. I was tying down the water tank to the trailer, He walked up on me and said Sir I can't take this, and he said I am doing my job. Matthew wished me a safe trip and stay away from covide. I am going to hurry up and buy something just to hope he can wait on me again. Govplanet take care of Matthew

You are bidding on a migraine!

Gov Planet and Iron Planet are one in the same. An auction site that auctions off anything from cars to aircraft parts online.
This company has been absolutely horrible to deal with.
I won a tool chest on an online bid and as required paid in full. Including shipping charges, the same day I won the bid. I was emailed an invoice with acceptance of payment including shipping cost. I was also emailed later that day, a FedEx tracking number.
Here's where the headache starts.
The FedEx tracking on FedEx site, says possible deliver in 3 days. A week later still no tool chest. I go to FedEx site and now it says "shipping label created, shipment pending."
I wait a few days and the email Gov Planet customer service. They do not respond (their email system is horrible) so, I wait a day or two and then call them. After 2 transfers to different customer service agents, I'm told there has been a glitch on their part and I will be notified when tool chest is shipped.
I wait 3 more days and no communication from Gov Planet so I email them and as usual no reply. 2 days later I get an email from Gov Planet informing me my won tool chest was waiting to be picked up and I will soon be charged storage fees. (Really? I paid for shipping and got a tracking number)
I called Gov Planet and asked about my most recent email, I'm told it's a generic email and to ignore it. I ask about any progress with the shipping of my "won" tool chest and they say, we are still working on it. (Wow!)
After waiting another week with no communication from Gov Planet. I call and request a full refund. The Gov Planet supervisor tells me that is not an option. He informs me, I can get a refund on shipping only and then drive or fly to Las Vegas and go pick up the tool chest. (I live in Phoenix) He also finally (I dont believe him) tells me, they are not able to ship my tool chest from the Vegas location unless I find a shipping company on my own and pay for the shipping.
This headache that I "won" with the click of a mouse button is now a migraine. I am still waiting for either my money back or Gov Planet to step up, put on their big boy pants and ship me the tool chest or refund me my hard earned non stimulus money! I will not be bidding or making any purchases in the future from Gov Planet, Iron Planet or Ritchie Brothers.
