I was transferred by PlusNet and have found Greenby to be completely useless. I honestly think a 10 year old boy working from his bedroom on a Commodore 64 using a dial up connection would do better... Voir plus
Terrible, don't use. Extremely slow, constantly refreshing, unreliable with sent messages not being delivered rendering the system as virtually unusable. Spam filter stops virtually everything and eve... Voir plus

Complete nightmare not worth one star! Moved on to Greenby by Plusnet after many satisfactory years without any choice. Couldn't send/recieve any plusnet mail so have paid them money to get some sort of service out of Greenby. Now recieve hundreds of threatening (obscene) spam emails, and Greenby wont let me get on to their site to adjust spam filters because they say I haven't migrated from plusnet yet.
I will not be renewing my Plusnet internet when it becomes out of contract as I have little faith left in the company as a whole having been treated this way in respect of my email service.
Excellent support from Greenby's Shahin
Excellent support from the Greenby agent. Shahin was able to resolve a problematic email connection issue which Claude AI and Greenby's own Chatbot couldn't crack. He displayed excellent IT prowess combined with great communication skills and a friendly and efficient online manner.
My experience served only to reinforce my view that - however impressive AI becomes - there will always be a role for a competent, helpful human being!

Not a good experience, a terrible personal incident enacted on a 75yrs young "disabled pensioner" generated from plus-net and Greenby, as my account was "transferred" NOVEMBER 2025 [without my permission OR any 'boxes' ticked OR MY WRITTEN CONSENT] Indeed, I was told by Plus-net on later enquiry my email account with them was now cancelled, hence my NEW Outlook Account! Then I was "hacked" 4mths later after 30years CLEAR, costing so far £450+ in Macfee Security, Vodafone charges, and local IT Consultant charges,,,,,So lets see what happens when my letter of complaint reaches PLUS-NET SERVICE?....**Meanwhile, GOOD NEWS GREENBY 2 JUNE 2026 HAVE FINALLY CLOSED MY TRANSFERRED PLUS-NET ACCOUNT AS REQUESTED on x3 occasions, which at a minimum warrants a big..."thank you" but I heard NOTHING FROM the perpetrators of this nefarious incident PLUSNET....with the cost of hacking recovery by professionals about £450 in phone intervention. Hence I AWAIT PLUSNET'S CONTRIBUTION TO THIS COST WHO IN "OUR" OPINION WERE ORIGINALLY TO BLAIM!!! THE E-MAIL ACCOUNT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CANCELLED AS INIMATED BY THEM!!!
Slow & buggy emails
email account switched from Plusnet. This Greenby malarky is not fit for purpose - very slow, and frequent errors in sending & receiving emails. Like, today I can't even send any emails because it "can't connect to server".
Rubbish. You'd 've thought that Plusnet would've done some due diligence, yet what appears to have happened is that they've just agreed to transfer their email accounts to the cheapest bidder.

Unfortunately Trustpilots lowest score is 1, but believe me, that is far in excess of what Greenby deserve.

Nothing short of an enormous clusterfck:
Duplicate emails, missing emails, blacklists/whitelists that don't work, overly-aggressive spam filtering that can't be turned off (event though it pretends so), poor server availability, continual authentication issues, non-existent customer/technical support...
After nearly 2 decades with Plusnet, we get rewarded with this debacle - when my current contract runs out, I won't be coming back.
Fck you Greenby, and fck you Plusnet.

"Migrated" by Plusnet to this company with no choice in the matter or even any notice - woke up one day with no email service. For almost three weeks of constant to and fro with bots then different human responses I had no proper email service - most help came from a relative who saved me from having to uninstall then reinstall (greenbys eventual) advice.
All then ok till almost two months ago when messages sent to gmail addresses stopped being delivered. Support requested from greenby has so far resulted in information from successive bots that there's a known issue and they and BT are working on it. No joy, no human contact. Avoid this company

Spam filter stops virtually everything and even after saying an email address is not Spam it continues to flag it as such. Customer Service is also poor, use AI which sends you around in circles without resolving issues. Steer clear.

terrible email service that is supposed to be sending email for plusnet but rejects everything. also if it does send it acts as a forwarder but doesn't follow DKIM or DMARC policy so email still rejected by gmail and outlook
1 star - That's a Joke '0' would be a better rating
1 star - 0 star rating would be more apt. They are completly useless. Your query is delt with by a 'Ai BOT' which gives up asking questions and say that it will hand you over to a Human Contact. so hang on and wait... Hang on. When is eternity due.
I've given up trying to get help from them and have registered with a Professional well established Email Supplier. I suggest that you do likewise.

Service is treated as a spam source by default, so you can't send mail to anyone who hasn't added you as a contact already.
AI bot keeps telling users to log in without encryption and send passwords plain-text when asked about mail server settings.
Slow to get messages from server.
Routinely goes through periods where log in fails.
Slow to fix service outages.
Easier to receive spam than send mail.
A careless company only happy to take your money.
Due to Plusnet's failure to keep my details up to date as per GDPR, I was unaware of the migration of my Plusnet email to Greenby taking place until it happen, or the 30 day free window until they closed access to my account and demanded payment.
I have been emailing their complaints team (no phone number so you can't talk to anyone) to explain I never had notification and demanding payment is unfair, but they continue to parrot the reply that I must give them money first.
A careless company only happy to take your money. Avoid.

Looks like I'm a victim of the greenby takeover.
Thought it a bit odd there were no emails this week, so sent a test email to myself, it was returned saying recipient does not exist. Looks like the account has been closed.......I have a Plusnet broadband account till June 2027 so the email should continue free until then.
The migration from Plusnet hasn't been smooth over the last few months but this last f@@k up is the last straw.
Is this an attempt by greenby to force people to pay for something plusnet said was free for 2 years ?
I don't mind paying for good service but the last 6 months with greenby has been riddled with frustration and poor service, no way would I pay greenby.
Probably time to kick plusnet into touch if they can't be trusted to keep their word.

I have had problem after problem.
Span offensive emails, not being able to send emails ( until I paid the 15£ fee) now emails I send never reach the recipient, they come back as a failed delivery.
No help from the support bot, as they never resolve any issues.
This service warrants a negative score.
This deserves a negative scoring. Despite numerous promises, that the problem with sending emails to icloud, @me, homecall and an increasing number of gmail addresses would be fixed by the end of the week (over 2 months ago), the problem persists. These sort of issues should have been ironed out, perhaps with a test selection accounts, prior to any handover. For over 20 years, Plusnet always worked for me, with any issues being easily addressed immediately and with a quick call. Ticket responses with Greenby are generic, with false promises and of no assistance at all. The new service is unfit for purpose and we are informed that we are expected to pay for it in the future! This company is an absolute shambles.

Dreadful. Since PlusNet has transferred the management of its emails to Greenby, it’s been chaos. I’ve been receiving offensive emails that should have been filtered, and my usual emails keep going into the Junk folder even though I’ve marked them as Not Junk.
Their support team tells me that Greenby’s filters do not have the option to block specific spam addresses on the server side. Even if I create filters in webmail, the spam mail still keeps coming through.
Not at all impressed. Moving to MS Outlook.

My experience is exactly as everyone has described here. I basically lost access to my Plusnet email.
It is absolutely despicable that the subsidiary of a major UK Plc put their customer to ransom to some nameless faceless organization. I think people affected should take a collective legal action.
Ironically I called Plusnet support today and they pretended that they don't know much about it.

I was unwillingly migrated by plusnet to this company. I find it cumbersome to use and so slow. It is not easy to use and takes ages to load up messages.
I have discovered today after writing a group chat that it was returned because I am not allowed to have more than one recipient!

Forced to greenby from Plusnet. OMG how terrible. The final nail in the coffin is that you cannot send e mails to G Mail, Outlook, or Hotmail. Seriously? How can a e mail platform not be able send e mails to the biggest recipients?! Much as we love our legacy F.9 e mail we cannot exist like this and will have to move, with all the hassle this involves. How Plusnet fobbed loyal customers off to a useless, inept shambles like Greeby I do not know. They are in no way fit to be run an e mail platform.
