This company was not transparent on the hiring charges be very careful.
We hired track mats and had them picked up on a Friday but had them delivered on a Thursday. Once we got the invoice in we was charged to the following week the Thursday, so we was charged another full week of hire .£487+VAT .
Make sure u ask the right questions or you will get charged for items you haven’t used .

Not impressed
You get charged hire from the day they leave Groundguards' premises to the day they get back (not just the time they were on site), and they don't charge part weeks either, 3weeks and 1day is charged as 4weeks. When queried, i was told to refer to the conditions of hire which were never sent until I queried the invoice.
Their website states "Generosity" as one of their values, i would disagree.

We hear you loud and clear on the hire terms issue about the charges from when our products leave our premises to when they're returned. We're sorry if this wasn't as clear as it should've been and for any hassle it caused. We're all about being fair and transparent, and it seems we've missed the mark this time.
Straight off the bat, we've tweaked our hire quote page to make sure our terms of hire are fully visible - so everyone knows what's what right from the start.
It's worth mentioning that our hire agreement, which outlines all the terms and conditions, has to be signed before dispatch. But we understand there are other touchpoints where we could help make this crystal clear.

Excellent Services
Excellent Services. The equipment was high quality and well organised with great thought given in supplying all the components and handling tools needed to make the installation simpler. Delivery was exactly as stated and took away any stress that sometimes can ocour hiring in items. I would highly recommend this company.

Brilliant
My first contact was with, Ruben. I then dealt with Stuart on the hire side of the business. From my first call on Monday afternoon, Stuart moved things around to fit me in and install 150m of matting on the Wednesday of the same week. Ground Guard use on construction project
Stuart and Nick were very helpful and knowledgeable when visiting and advising on the product. We originally spent ££££'s on haul road construction but despite being designed by TW the ground kept on failing due to excessive rain fall. We arranged the mats to be installed and they arrived on a Saturday Morning and installed 60+LM within 2hrs safely without any issues whatsoever. We tracked 20t excavators, 8t dumpers and 60t cranes on the mats with no issues whatsoever. Upon collection it caused minimal disruption and the ground areas were left in tact. I would highly recommend the use of ground guard as i will use again in future.

Great Hire & Sales Company to work with
Very fast turn around from quote to delivery.
Communication was clear and concise from start to finish.
Additional mats were required at very short notice this was no issue at all due the the vast quantity of mats on the hire fleet.
Highly reccomended and will use again.

The operatives were on site on time and were very efficient with the installation process, All were polite and focused on getting their job done quickly & safely, I would recommend them for construction access works where putting in haul roads isn`t economically viable.
