The Gynae Centre Avis 

My girlfriend and I visited the Gynae centre, we saw Mr Eskander. He proved to be knowledgeable, professional, kind, empathetic. He resolved many issues that other doctors we saw on the NHS could not sort out. The staff are lovely, polite, the nurses are caring. I highly recommend this place

Thank goodness the actual doctor and nurse Jess were amazing and my saving grace but everything else about this place is amateur. A complete privatised money maker with no thought as to the vulnerability and fragility of the clients walking in and the procedures they are carrying out. There is no communication between the team so wrong prices are communicated and argued about, no one checks you in they leave you waiting as if you are non-existent and when you ask a question no one knows the answer. A total shambles if you ask me, it made the whole process really unsettling for me. The anaesthetist that they brought in was so unaware of his surroundings it was uncomfortable as he continued to ask me stupid questions and makes stupid remarks bearing in mind the vulnerable situation I was in and the emotions I was experiencing going through what I was going through at this place. If I’d had more time on my hands I would never have settled for this kind of treatment. Save yourself the money and use the government funded body who are well trained, caring and accommodating.

I deliberated for a while about going private, but I am so pleased with the care Dr Eskander provided and honestly wish I had booked to see him months previously, after finding some positive reviews about him online. He was kind, understanding and prescribed me 2 x steroid creams which are already helping my vulvodynia. This follows the NHS telling me there was nothing they could do to help, other than refer me to a pelvic floor therapist which would take months.
Don't delay in booking in with Dr Eskander. I am feeling so much more positive due to his care.

Everyone was so nice and kind it made me cry. I've had the worst experiences with women's health in Italy and I came back to London to obtain treatment and Dr Alex and his team was incredibly kind and knowledgeable and made me feel so comfortable in a really tough situation.

The Dr and the nurse are very kind, helpful, and very professional.

I cannot recommend the gynae center highly enough. the Dr. is not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional but also kind, patient, and truly attentive. He takes the time to listen, explains everything clearly, and never makes you feel rushed.

What really stood out to me was how comfortable he made what can often be an uncomfortable experience. his calm and compassionate approach made all the difference.

My experience was great. They managed to fit me in quickly after I called on a weekend. I received a phone call from one of the doctors who was very supportive and informative. I picked up my medication from the clinic and nothing was too much hassle.

Sadly I underwent a medical termination on 17th October 2023, I then had to return for a surgical abortion on 2nd November 2023, I was subjected to a duplicated payment on 2nd November 2023, 2x payments of £850.00 were taken. I raised this with the clinic and also had to raise it with my bank, the following weeks and months I was met with bullish/demands from The Gynae Centre demanding that I close down my investigation directly with my bank. I of course kept my investigation open and allowed my bank to conduct the necessary investigations.

The Gynae Centre took my bank details originally when I made the first appointment, which makes me question whether they retained my bank details on file.

I had a medical termination, but sadly owing to complications had to proceed with a surgical termination also. I paid £850.00 for the surgical procedure, which was paid via chip and pin, unbeknown to me they had taken the payment twice. This was raised with them immediately, all of which I have evidence of, this was disputed and owing to it being a considerable amount of money I raised with my bank immediately. The bank kindly took the matter on and I received a refund for the secondary payment of £850.00, they called in the fraud team and other expert teams to investigate.

I reached a point where the bullying and demanding nature of the clinic became too much and I insisted on the bank dealing with them directly. Again, I have evidence of all of this communication. Given what I had been through, the sheer lack of empathy and understanding on the clinic's part was traumatic.

Fast forward to 14th March I received an email from the clinic to advise that it had happened to someone else, the exact same issue that I had raised with them back at the end of 2023. This was not only a serious concern but a sheer worry that there may be others out there that this is happening too, how many other people have been charged twice? I have been back and forth via email communication with the clinic for the last 4 days, their responses have lacked any empathy, understanding nor acknowledgement for their responsibility of the failure. They seem to 'pass the buck' to the payment supplier companies which of course as a consumer, they hold the responsibility to provide a safe and secure service, not only via their treatments but by their payment services also.

To clarify, the clinic offered me 'as a gesture of goodwill for all the hassle, I would like to offer you a free consultation voucher (£290) with Dr.Eskander, our senior gynaecologist. This will be valid for up to one year, and I will add it to your file.'

Now, anyone that has been through any sort of termination previously will understand and appreciate the trauma that the procedure brings, let alone having a medical and surgical one (no one could have pre-empted this, it was an unfortunate event). But on top of this, having been treated in such a traumatic and unfair way, it not only leaves you dealing with the matters emotionally but also the fact that it left me in a vulnerable position financially for 2-3 weeks which as a single parent of identical twin girls of aged 2 (at the time), wasn't something I had planned for, nor was able to support. The sheer lack of empathy in their explanation of the 'hassle' it caused was numbing, this experience left me needing therapy, as a normally strong person mentally, this has been horrific. Their attempt in 'passing the buck' to the payment services has been constant, the supplier holds all responsibility on this matter and remains with them.

I have applied my complaint to the financial ombudsman and currently liaising with other complaint/investigatory services to ascertain what action can be taken, but this was my way of attempting to warn others. I really hope you don't have the awful experience I have had.

The clinic was amazing, the whole process was made easy with no time pressure or issues. The team is great, especially Jessica. She made the experience so much easier and straightforward (plus she speaks Spanish). Would highly recommend them.

The doctor was so kind and caring and listened to my wishes and recognised the situation I was in. He made me feel heard, safe and seen. I will forever be indebted to his kindness and interventions.

Excellent communication and very friendly and helpful team.

Booked a consultation on the same day and had minor surgery the following week. The whole team were really supportive and answered any questions I had to put my mind at ease before the surgery because I had never been sedated before. Thanks to Ava for helping me get through it. Dr Eskander was so professional and patient with me as well. Overall a really positive experience and I would definitely recommend the Gynae Centre to anyone! Thank you so much!

Alex and his team at the Gynae centre are amazing. The nurses were so lovely and friendly and made me feel so cared for. Alex is a fantastic doctor and I’ve had the best ever experience with him and contraceptive fitting, he really makes sure everything is perfect and makes you feel completely at ease.
