One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. What should have been a simple return turned into months of unnecessary hassle, chasing and frustration.

I contacted Handles4U within the return period and made every effort to return the items. Due to delays and difficulties with their communication, the process dragged on — yet they then had the cheek to try to charge me a 25% restocking fee.

I find it completely unacceptable to financially penalise a customer when I had contacted them within the required timeframe and was actively trying to arrange the return.

The whole experience was exhausting — emails, chasing, waiting, and more chasing for something that should have been incredibly straightforward. Their handling of the situation completely destroyed my confidence in the company.

What is even more concerning is that I can see I’m not the only person who has had a poor experience. I’ve since come across other reviews here on Google and comments/reviews in Facebook groups describing similar frustrations, which is disappointing to see.

I certainly won’t be giving Handles4U my business again. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before ordering from them, particularly if you may need to return something. Absolutely dreadful after-sales service.

Really good quality products at a competitive price.
Have purchased similar and the same style of items from this company before and will do so again when the need arises.

I've used Handles 4 U a few times and they provide good products and good service

Faulty goods but I had to pay the return postage. Have written to say they should pay it but didn’t get a reply. Fortunately I got a refund for the faulty bolt but I will never use Handle4u again and cannot recommend them. I prefer to deal with reputable businesses. Customer service is appalling no apology for the inconvenience or recognition that I had to pay for a return visit from my carpenter!!!

Should have looked at Trustpilot before ordering from Handles4u. Refunds are not handled professionally and they never respond to negative reviews, says it all!!

Handles are lovely quality, as always. Got a selection of samples for our new kitchen and they are all good and at a much better price than the kitchen company were offering. My only criticism is with the courier company, DPD, who were useless at finding our address. In the end I had to arrange for the package to be dropped at a local shop for collection.

Brilliant company. Got some excellent and fairly priced handles and locks. Delivery quick and well packaged and after sales service for a minor issue was 'no quibble' and excellent. Highly recommend this company. Kevin 👍

First order quality of the handles was great they were well packed and arrived in two days. I have ordered another two times since and the same quality and service. New handles it's the place to go.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Handles4U.

The company sent me the wrong item, which delayed my home improvement project and meant my builder was unable to complete the installation as planned. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and disruption.

Although I received an automated acknowledgement of my complaint on 30 June with a reference number, I specifically requested a phone call to discuss the issue. Despite this, I have received no phone call and no further communication.

I also asked for the incorrect item to be exchanged and for the company to cover the return postage, as the mistake was not mine. Unfortunately, they refused to pay for the return postage and offered no compensation or goodwill gesture for the delay and inconvenience their error caused.

Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a company responds when things go wrong. Sadly, I have found the customer service to be disappointing due to the lack of communication and unwillingness to take full responsibility for their mistake.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Handles4U.

We are very pleased to cooperate with this company, because this is not the first time we have purchased their products, and they are of very good quality and, most importantly, they provide fast delivery.

Avoid this company. I paid to return the goods unused (as advised) but they didn't accept/collect the parcel. This was returned to me several weeks later, so I sent it back again and they refused a refund stating it was outside of the return window. I disputed this and provided evidence of the initial postage/failure for them to pick up the parcel, they then said they couldn't refund due to the item not being a stocked product so no warehouse space - which completely contradicts their website ts &cs. Really poor customer service; they have the goods and my money so I've had to do a chargeback via my credit card company.

Ordered both Oxford cup and knob handles for new kitchen. Arrived promptly and were perfect except for one.
Contacted customer services, spoke to a lovely lady named Alison who organised a replacement. Arrived the next day.
Would highly recommend this company.

I ordered 6 x window locking handles, one of the six boxes didn't have a 30mm shaft which i needed.
Three weeks on and they havent bothered to answer my emails.
Poor customer service.

Ordered a made to measure handle in July 2025 and it never arrived , tried to contact to get a refund but never get any response or reply

We had new wardrobes fitted and wanted 2 handles to match the existing, the suppliers quoted £46 !!!!! replaced the 2 plus another 2 for less than £10 with Handles4you,easy to order,delivery great and they look great, if only the Government were as efficient as this company, well done

Ordering, price and delivery were all entirely satisfactory. I inadvertently over ordered one set of handles which I returned according to the returns policy, which included a statement saying credit card refunds would take 5-10 working days. I have received my refund exactly at the end of the 10th working day after Handles4U received my return. Therefore satisfactory, but in the absence of any email acknowledgement of receipt of the return I was beginning to be concerned

We’ve ordered many times from handles4u and have always been impressed with the quality and price.
Our latest purchase wasn’t quite the colour we were expecting so emailed to query, the response and willingness to resolve (Rob) was absolutely 5*, so not only excellent products but excellent customer service as well which is so reassuring.

Having moved into a new home recently I’ve been changing door handles. I’ve ordered one three separate occasions each time delivery has been quick and convenient. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from Handles4u and have recommended them to a friend who was having trouble finding a matching handle for a broken one.

Whilst the hinges look attractive they came with 1/2 inch screws which were totally inadequate so I had to spent £8 on longer ones. The hinges were extremely stiff so I had to spray with WD40 to get any movement. When hung the doors now feel very heavy and stiff unlike the ones they replaced. I'll try longer screws but otherwise very disappointed. Oh and the delivery driver bother to didn't knock, just dropped off at local shop.
