The Hatch Chile Store Avis 

I ordered frozen hatch Chiles. They were delivered damaged through no fault of the hatch chile company. I let them know, and they promptly sent me a new order. They have an excellent product and exemplary customer service!

This is the second time ordering from The Hatch Chile Store. My first order last year was for Green Chile Stew and Green Chile. 5 each in 1 lb bags. I recently ordered Green Chile Stew again and ordered Chile Rellenos as I still had Green Chile that was frozen and still good. My first order was ordered hot and it was. Made my eyes tear and my nose run for the Green Chile Stew. I received my most current order last week and last night I took out one to defrost and then cook. The bag after defrosting was half full and there was no heat at all, way mild. I reached out to the company as I ordered it towards the end of May and the reply from a woman named Myrna was totally unacceptable to me. She tried to say that they are labeled, mild, medium and hot. Mine was not labeled anything. Then she further tells me that this batch is FROM 2025!!!!!!! Their new season is July! So why did they allow their product to be sold, nowhere saying this is from last season AND we're only talking about a month and a half difference to the NEW and FRESH CHILE products. I emailed her stating that I believe I should get a refund, especially since I am a returning customer. Now, I also don't know how my Chile Rellenos will be. I have not heard back from her or the Preston Family.

I ordered a large box of medium Big Jim Chilis from this company. Spent hours roasting cleaning and vac sealing only to find out the chilis had zero flavor and no heat. I have been buying Hatch Chilis for around 50 years and have never experienced this. I suspect you never rotate your crops and have ruined the soil these were grown in. I was offered a 20% discount on future purchase but why take the risk, just buy elsewhere.

I watched Pati Jinich’s TV episode about Hatch chilis in which she raved about a burger topped with chopped fire-roasted green chilies. Then I saw your burger recipe post on Instagram and followed your instructions by adding green chili powder to the ground beef, topping with chopped green chili from the jar and a slice of smoked cheddar, and then drizzling red chili-infused crema. Absolutely out of this world! And the canned varieties don’t begin to compare to the deep fire-roasted flavor from your chilies! I’m hooked! Thank you for great products!

The shipping was very fast and you cant beat NM pinto beans they are delicious

I purchased 1lb bag each dried red hot & medium. The mediums were dlnot as fresh, discolored & more broken.

I have been a customer since 2014 or earlier with more than 20 orders. I buy fresh one available but have been buying Sandia, (now hot 👎🏻) frozen chopped primarily
I received 10 pounds last week and was horrified to see the amount of seeds in the 1 pound packages. It stood out like a sore thumb.
I process these further by chopping them finer, and while chopping noticed that not only whether seeds, but the tops of the peppers which is unconscionable. In all of my orders with Hatch, this is never occurred. I checked online using an AI and it seems that the bigger you guys get the more challenge with quality control you’re having at least that’s the buzz out there, but my experience was an ungodly amount of seeds the tops of peppers which should never be veins and too much skin and overall degraded quality to what I have come to expect as Hatch being premier and quality New Mexican green chili.
Your customer service was exemplary. She did take great care of me and replace the order with whole peppers. Unfortunately, the yield is significantly less, but at least I can control the seeds in my finish product as a business man. I understand the balance between business growth supply, chain, quality, control, and more. I hope you can wrap your heads around this problem, which is obvious because we this one there’s more unfortunately I will need to think twice when it comes to re-ordering time and do what I’ve never done before look at other options that are available out there that ensure just the Mexican green chili without all the nonsense in it I’m sharing this and hopes that it will reach somebody’s focus in attention

Deliveries are always when they say they will be there, and jars of products are unbroken.

I love this company. I've been a customer for years. Recently I had a problem with a shipment. They were quick to respond and make it right. Their chili products are fantastic. I highly recommend them.

It was delivered timely, and I knew when to expect it. It arrived well packaged and looked great. It is hanging on our front door and it a great addition. Price was reasonable compared to some other on line companies who charged more and higher shipping costs.

We recently made our second purchase of tamales, chile rellenos, roasted chilies, and pork chile verde from the Hatch Chile Store. The products arrived quickly and were still in a well-frozen state. We have enjoyed all of these products and anticipate making future purchases.

I have been a customer of the Hatch Chile Store for years and love their products. I order at least 50 jars of The Fresh Chile Company Jalapeño Salsa every year. When my most recent order arrived yesterday, I was disappointed to find they had shipped me a dozen jars of the wrong product. I wrote a review expressing my disappointment and Myrna called me in less than 10 minutes with an apology and informed me that a dozen jars of the salsa I wanted was being shipped immediately. This is truly one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had! Thank you!

Love their products I think they’re very reasonably priced their top notch. I still think Hatch chili is the best in the land I live in Colorado near Pueblo. They have some really good chili there, but I really like the hatch and this company is extremely high integrity extremely good products and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend it definitely a lifelong place for me to shop.

Thought I was buy the ‘sun dried re chile sauce’ again, instead I received Old Gringo sauce. It’s terrible! It’s watered down and includes tomato juice!! Give me a break…tomato sauce!Very, very unhappy.
