I ordered 3 christmas items in August was told that it was delivered in September but nothing arrived and Wednesday 12 November was told it arrived on the 10th but still no items. On about 6 occasions I have ask for a photo of it arriving at my address and who the courier was but they just keep saying I have received my goods. So I ask for a refund and they just fob me off by saying give us a few days so we can investigate. Not hoping far a good outcome.

Same terrible experience as others
Same terrible experience as others. Ordered Maja items and Woood items in January from them. Timeframe on website for delivery was 6 to 8 weeks max. Chased constantly after 8 weeks with no returning of calls on the odd occasion when the reception actually answered the phone. They also have a system whereby they can tell if your number and, if they know you’re an existing customer who is chasing on an order, they intentionally do not answer. They didn’t reply by email either despite my constant email requests for an update on delivery. Put up with this until July and gave up and just sought a credit card refund. Ordered the items from a different supplier and they have all turned up in less than a month. Haus Direct have put up some covid and Brexit BS excuse for delayed delivery now on their website but given that other suppliers are able to deliver in short time frames, this is just a lie and totally pathetic on their part. They are either utterly incompetent and should be out of business for that reason in itself or are a total scam and con. DO NOT ORDER WITH THEM EVER!

Like many others if I could give zero stars I would.
I’ve used this company in the past about 8 years ago when they were trading under a slightly different name. I’m aware it’s the same company due to their local shop in Bishop Auckland being a registered office.
I placed an order for a desk (same as I already have) on the 7th of February with a 6-8 week delivery timescale. Needless to say as I write this review this has still not materialised. I began calling in April after 8 weeks had passed to query progress. In total since then I have called in excess of 40 times, sent two emails and two service desk requests and have only ever been called back 3 times….THREE. This is despite numerous promises that it has been escalated and a call back will be made.
Had contact with a “manager” who made the same excuses as with others (delays at ports etc) and promised call backs and updates which never happened.
You ring the “customer service” line and never ever get through in fact it times out after about 6/7 minutes. Ringing the main reception number yields the same results “we’ll try customer service…sorry there’s no response we’ll send a message for a call back” the call back never happens.
Now even the reception number is not answering.
This company has to be THE WORST I’ve ever dealt with and how they’ve got away with so much I’ve no idea. It wouldn’t surprise me if this was why they changed name last time and that it’ll probably happens again under a different name.
Thankfully I raised a dispute with my credit card provider and have my money back but take it from me…if you’ve ordered you’re NEVER going to see that product or a refund so if you’ve already placed an order and it’s through a credit card or PayPal raise a dispute now and prevent these clowns from keeping your money before they disappear!!!

My Story
Desk ordered on 12th Jan 2022
Order cancelled on 12th August 2022 due to never actually receiving goods or a confirmed delivery date.
I chased on numerous occasions during this time - reasons given:
Delay due to Brexit / Delay due to COVID / goods have arrived in the country and I should be contacted by their delivery partner / sorry they may not of got to your order yet as we such a large one coming in since the delay that they were not labelled before container packed and shipped so will be sorted, labelled and then booked in for delivery.
Every time something new to hold it up and yet it was ok to take payment on the day the order was placed.
During the months Jan to August it could be hard to get hold of Haus Direct by phone on either number:
0333 242 0688 or 01388 602640 but when I did get through to Sinead, Holly or Lauren in reception they would transfer me to either Sam or Joel who were both polite but could only tell me reasons as shown above.
I therefore on the 12th August 2022 during a conversation with Sam in Sales advised that as they still could not give me a delivery date that I wished to cancel the order and be given a refund.
As advised by Sam I had an email confirming:
Your order #100010840 has been updated to: On Hold
We are sorry to see you have cancelled your order with us, thank you for giving us this opportunity and we apologise for not being able to fulfill the service levels as expected. We can confirm that your order has been submitted for cancellation and we aim to update you within the next 2 working days with an update on your refund status. In the meantime we thank you for your continued patience while we deal with your request.
You can check the status of your order by logging into your account.

That email was received on the 12th August 2022 - it is now the 07th September 2022 - NOTHING - DEAD SILENCE - I have left 4 phone messages on 01388 602640 and sent 4 emails chasing my refund - they are not answering the phone on either number and I have seen on some of the bad reviews that they have responded saying call the 0333 242 0688 number as this is answered in 30 seconds - I have several screen shots of my calls on well over 6 minutes with no answer.
** I actually did find another company to order this desk through and had it delivered in 1 week from placing the order**
I have notes from each time I have phoned and spoken to someone or just had my call or emails not answered.
I would love to hear back from Haus Direct to confirm you are indeed arranging for my money to be given back and to prove this company is not fraudulent.

I bought a computer desk in December on a 3-4 week delivery that has still not been delivered 9 months later. I have chased via every means possible and unable to get a hold of anyone. No communication or updates for months so I can only assume now I have been scammed. I am away to contact my credit card company who can hopefully at the very least report them so they aren't able to trade and do this to anyone else.

Yes agree with everyone else - this is really a zero stars review. I placed an order that didn't arrive within the specified 1-2weeks, chased them in every way possible daily for several weeks afterwards - multiple phone numbers, online account, emails. Only got through to them 3 times (all on the sales tel number, not the number that they put on the order confirmation). Twice to "reception", who don't work for the company at all and once to a guy who seemed to be more insightful, told me they had some problems with the amount of orders fitting on the dhl truck that arrived each day to pick things up, promised to come back to me with an update, but never did and never answered the phone again after that. I went to my credit card company to help and they reported them and gave me my money back - suggest everyone that suffers at the hands of Haus Direct does this and then very quickly Visa and Mastercard will dump them and they won't be able to trade as a result.

If I could put zero stars, I would. Ordered a desk for £250 in April. 4 months later and still no sign of it. Emails go unanswered, women on reception say all they can do is pass on a message as the relevant department is unavailable. Absolute joke. Avoid at all costs.

The only reason I used Haus was because they had a £15 promo on the order and my preferred well-known Uk retailer was out of stock of the outdoor beanbags. Or I would never have used them.
It’s been 2 weeks and no response. AVOID AT ALL COST. I wish I had read these reviews before ordering my Extream beanbag for £94. It was for a child with additional needs. The call to customer services drops around 6 minutes. I called daily for 14 days again and again and again all I want now is a refund. After taking my money no contact whatsoever!
Instagram comments are switched off too. When you call the phone number on the Instagram page it goes to reception. There’s two girls who pick up and take messages only.
I’ve sent details to my credit card company to investigate so I can have my refund. Never have I been conned by a company. Website was very professional and never in my wildest dreams I could have imagined it was a con.
Definitely a scam
Safe to say that this business is a scam:
- Ordered a cabinet 6 weeks ago, but have heard nothing. Emailed and called multiple times with no progress.
- It's impossible to get a response from anyone who knows anything about your order.
- Sales and Customer Services phones go through to a "reception desk for the building the business is based in" according to 'Melissa'. When you look up this building on Google maps it's a tiny corner shop on a very small residential street. It would be remarkable if anyone operated the shop let alone had a reception for it.
- VAT number on the website corresponds to a business called "RAHUL DEVGAN" (checked on Gov.uk)
- No such business is registered on Companies House, and neither is there a Director by that name on CH. Other directors with the same surname were found but the majority of the businesses they are associated with are dissolved.
- Seema Devgan, Sanjeev Devgan, Rajeev Devgan, and Aradhana Devgan are all Directors of a business called Five Rivers State (Company number 02696524) based in Bishop Ackland. The same location as the tiny corner shop.
- Rahul Devgan is a person on LinkedIn with the title of H.o.Operations for "Furniture Haus Direct" but has very few connections and the website is not linked to his profile. No contact information.
Fraudulent! No goods and not a registered company
They did not send my order for over a month. I read the reviews everywhere and they are terrible. I called and challenged them to declare their UK company registered name and number, their "customer service" panicked and claimed she doesn't have to tell me. It is not mentioned on their website either and is required when trading or entering into a sales contract. They clearly are hiding something.
I have reported them to trading standards and we should all do to remove fraudulent companies like Haus Direct! If they are purely drop shipping then they are just damaging the industry for e commerce. Reported to my bank to claim this loss.

Read all of the other reviews and avoid. Same experience and fortunately the bank refunded on my credit card. Surely trading standards should have closed these down by now!

I can't tell if this is a scam or just woefully incompetent. Four months ago I ordered a £200 item which the website said was in-stock (and still does today). After three months with no product or communication, I asked for a refund. One month later, still no refund. Avoid this website at all costs.

I’ve waited months for my order and had to do a claw back from the bank to get my cashback as they would not respond to emails or phone calls. I have also reported them to trading standards.
