Dear Customer,
We sincerely apologize for the experience you had. At Heimat, we strive to provide a best-in-class service but there are circumstances beyond our control.
Having checked the records, we can see that the items have been refunded. It's the least we can do. However, we also wanted to provide some background as to why this happened.
The day your order was placed, the courier company we used decided to cease its operation. This came without a pre-warning resulting in a major disruption of the operational processes. We then changed to Royal Mail in order to get your parcel out as quickly as possible. However, the delays at this stage were already significant and this, together with a slower delivery service by Royal Mail, effectively meant that your parcels arrived late and the items were beyond their best before date.
We have now changed the courier service in order to avoid things like this happening going forward. And while this isn't a fix of your order, we wanted to ensure that you know the background.
