Deception about real percentage charged. advertise low cost. In reality it is as high or in some cases higher than other major companies. Corporate cards use will be 5-7 percent. They say if your volume is high enough, we will discount this. If you're a small business and cannot obtain a high level of monthly charges, (undisclosed) what that is you will be paying substantially more for your credit card processing.

Helcim is the worst product and customer service I've ever dealt with. They don't care about your business and even less about their products working correctly. They sent 3 credit card machines and none of they work. Customer service is a joke and there's no manager to speak to. If you want to ruin your business right off the bat go with this worthless company.

Extremely disappointed! I have been using helcim for awhile now until they canceled me. The risk team requested review and I provided them the information requested. Without full explanation, they emailed me canceling my account. I have been running the same transactions with the same patterns. Never had an incorrect charge from customers and with thousands of transactions only had approximately 7 refunds. How am I a risk? They approved me and years later drop me. Just an email stating cancelation because of “risk threshold”! No phone call or give me time to transition to another merchant account. Stay clear

The worst processing company i have dealt with. They UI has issues, it only pops error codes and the staff have no sop and they interpret KYC or kill your customer...pls dont use them at any cost and most of their good reviews are fake

I had a helcim account. This company will scam you if you are a US company. Be very careful. There's a reason they canceled thier Google review. The mistake cost me 8k.

Closed my new account abruptly after I began processing charges for my coaching program.
After providing detailed information about my business, including website links, program descriptions, and clarification around services offered, Helcim ultimately declined to support my account, stating that coaching and retreat-based businesses fall outside of their risk parameters.
While they noted that this decision was “not a reflection of my business,” the process itself was frustrating. Requirements and questions continued well into onboarding, and only after I shared everything requested was I informed that my business model was not supported. No clear guidance was provided upfront that long-term coaching or retreat offerings would be an automatic disqualifier.
Additionally, Helcim does not disclose the specific factors behind these decisions, which makes it difficult for service-based businesses to assess fit in advance.
If you run a coaching program, retreat, or transformational offering, I recommend confirming in writing before onboarding that your business model is supported. Otherwise, you may lose time and momentum during an already sensitive enrollment period.

They shut down our account and held a large sum of money. Their legal counsel is very slow to respond and it seems like they are dragging their feet. I totally understand holding a deposit when an account shuts down in the case of chargebacks; but not for 6 months. Such a long hold for no legitimate reason (we have an incredibly low chargeback rate) can kill a small business.
I have already communicated with Trust & Safety and now it’s escalated to legal. Helcim is still maintaining a position that is outside what is legal.

Been with them for a while. Accidentally plugged my iPhone charger into the device and it is not saying tamper detected. Literally from accidentally plugging in wrong cord in. Despite being with them for a long time they want to charge me for a new device as the right is now void from accidentally putting the iPhone charger in to the device that was plugged in the the wall.

Be warned: Helcim will terminate you account literally from one minute to the next when they feel like it with no prior warning. At considerable expense we implemented their credit card processing. Helcim falsely accused us to process transactions with an individual who has an interest in the business, reverted the transaction and closed the account. If they did have concerns regarding that customer it would have been proper to warn us that they could not process that card in the future instead of without prior notice closing the entire account.
