Poor shave, hassle to return to Canada. Wish I'd never bought it. Out the original $90, now another $25 to UPS to send it back. Lousy product, lousy company.

Wanted to return the product - there are no US address to return and shipping to Canada makes expensive and cost prohibitive - a sneaky way of refusing the returns

Very disappointed and people need to know before ordering from US

I purchased this razor after reading some the the reviews. I wasn’t expecting much! Wow, was I surprised! This is the best shave I have had in years! Well worth every penny.

So, here was my overall experience...
1) package arrived quickly (Toronto)
2) nice packaging
3) was impressed with how the razor felt, light but nicely machined
4) cool color!
5) Easy to instal blade
6) Unbelievably close shave. There was no razor burn, one pass to do the job when I typically have to go over the same tough areas a few times and my face was soft and smooth after!

Now I am a huge fan of HENSON SHAVING. I ordered the big pack of blades. I recommend you get these with your order as well.

I noticed with some, weight is an issue. I am used to a heavier razor. I had no issue with this. It is light, but I have quickly gotten used to it.

When I use this DE feels like it doesn't really do anything, yet in actual fact it's so effective. Very happy with my purchase, and also the very good value razor blades from Astra, which I bought 700 of.

Bad export policies.
I had to pay 50% more to get the razor. VAT and handling charges from FedEx

As others ordering from abroad, I have been very surprised to received 3 weeks after delivery an invoice of nearly US$ 40 for an order of US$ 80 (excluding shipping costs). Quality of the product is good, and shipping is fast, but a hidden price increase of 50% is not acceptable.

When I contacted Henson, they just indicated that "it is custom to expect duties and tax charges appropriate to your country", even though nothing indicates this on their website.

Great razor! Very good if you are just getting into safety razors as well. I had one concerns with the handle grip based on the photos but once I got the razor and began using it it is good. They have made a good choice with the blades as well. I've been using these blades for a long time prior to buying this razor.

I purchased it after I bought the supply razor. The reason why is that I often cut myself with the supply razor, and the blades are expensive... so when I saw the video of Henson razor with the 15 degree shape, I was thinking ok why not. Seems legit and after I compared those other razors I like the style and construction. I dont need to look at the price, because quality is that matters. So today after 2 weeks I got it and immediately tried it. My honest review : best shave ever ! Blades are sharp as hell. Didn’t even cut myself one bit and my skin was very smooth! I think I will get another one for a present for my brother.

Normally I’m skeptical and feel I’m being tricked when buying things online, and expect those purchases not to perform as promised... Wow! This one delivered the best DE shave I’ve ever had! No tricks, just a fantastic, pleasurable shave! I’m recommending the Henson to all!

I saw this advertised on a social media site and then mistakenly purchased a competitors version in a drunken haze. I then spotted my mistake and ordered this one as well. Well, it has afforded me the chance to do a comparison. Henson is by far the best, it is such a nice shave. The weighting is perfect and I have total confidence in it. The other razor is heavier and cumbersome, almost unusable on certain facets of my face. The Henson really is a quality razor, it looks sleek and spare and has the utilitarian elegance that appeals to the eye. Most importantly it has given me the best shave ever.

This really is all they say it is. You won’t regret this purchase.

Just had my first shave with HENSON DE RAZOR ( Mild model ). An amazing shave on 3 days growth, so smooth and nick free. Can't recommend highly enough, well worth every penny ( and I'm a Scotsman ! ). I have another de razor costing twice as much but the HENSON is the Rolls Royce by far ! The service from Henson was quick and efficient....delivery to UK within a few days.

Amazing razor, I made the switch from cartridge razors to double edge safety razors about 5 years ago and went with the Edwin Jagger DE89, and I was extremely happy with it.

With Henson being manufactured in Canada I wanted to try them out, and im happy I did.

The AL13 mild shaves just as good and is much more milder and easier on my skin.
