Their free design service is fantastic! Some of the physical providers can be expensive, primarily to their custom-made nature, but their quality upon arrival is far beyond what most hobbiest CNC devices are capable of (which I have a very solid amount of experience with). Since their creation service is free, I highly recommend you use it and support them where possible. If you have a 3D printer and solid competence with slicer software, I *highly* recommend their .stl export service. Yes, it's not a physical product, but that is where they make the money instead of charging to design minis in the first place. Other sites with free downloads typically charge for asset packs instead, but as far as design space quality is concerned, I think heroforge is by far the best.

I ordered some minis on June 28th. Heard NO word from Heroforge, and my order status remained as "TBD" the entire time.

I contacted them about 3 weeks later as they hadn't shipped anything, and was told they had "very sudden and unexpected issues" with one of your suppliers ceasing operations without warning or notice.

"Fair enough", I thought, sounds like an unfortunate situation. so I'll wait a bit more.

Two weeks AFTER that, one of the minis arrives out of the blue.

ANOTHER FULL month later, and the other two minis I had ordered are still nowhere to be seen, with nothing heard from HeroForge and order status still "TBD"

Like seriously???? If you have sudden issues with suppliers that delay things THIS long then just cancel or stop taking orders. 2 FULL months (I said a quarter of a year when I contacted you Heroforge, my bad, but it genuinely feels that long)

And ZERO communication from them until I reached out first. All that on top of being ridiculously expensive.

One of my campaigns is near its end, so one of the minis will barely get used, even if I get it next week or something. I've been saintly with my patience, but that's entirely my fault I suppose.

I'll just stick to the digital files from now on, or better yet never buy anything from HF again. I'll definitely be dissuading everyone I know from ever getting any physical minis.

I would highly recommend. Part of my shipment got disposed of by the post office and customer service offered me credit for the minis and shipment too!

I ordered a custom brass figure. The 100$ price tag is insane. Since I wanted a unique gift with engraved message, I was willing to pay that. AFTER the figure was created, I was sent renderings showing an ugly number right next to my message. And yes, when the figure arrived, there it was looking like it was part of my message. The brass figure itself looks absolutely stunning!

When I complained, I received replies that ranged from 'unrelated to my complaint' to 'entirely unhelpful'. After a couple of weeks they offered a refund.

The whole thing wouldn't be so bad if they had been upfront about it and there had been clear communication (e.g. during creation or ordering). They even hide the information somewhere in their FAQs as if this was something people would ask regularly.

Fun to Design Epic to Recieve
I design characters on Hero Forge all the time because the design process alone is super fun. Just got one of my first minis delivered this week and I love it!

Really pleased with mine. A lot of the reviewers seem to have issues with shipping times, but mine arrived in just over two weeks, which is great and much sooner than expected. I splurged for the colored plastic model, and it looks great. I would have given it five stars, but I felt like when it renders it for you on the site, it adjusts the colors to show how it'll look, but it doesn't account for the quality of some of the finer details. So what I received wasn't exactly how it looked on the site, but I'm still really impressed. I would definitely go through Hero Forge again for my next miniature.

Was fun designing the perfect DND character and then seems a reasonable price for downloading the STL for 3D printing. Little bit pricy if you don't have a 3D printer.

Miniatures are fine, shipping is super slow, way too expensive for what they are. Customer service is responsive but not at all helpful with problems. For a company that's obviously spent so much time developing the interface, it's hard to believe that they have no way to resolve any actual issues. Super lame experience, I'll use one of the competing services in the future.

The website is great for designing your perfect character.
Unfortunately I was dissapointed in the quality of the miniature when I received it. The plastic is very thin and not strong at all.
Two pieces snapped off when I accidentally dropped it off the table. I expected something more solid when I ordered the 'premium plastic' material...
Downloading the character and printing it somewhere else seems like a better option.

Ordered eight figures six weeks ahead of Christmas for my group as presents, they instead sent 4 and now said the other 4 will be shipped after Christmas, Great job Hero forge.

They use your credit card details to subscribe without asking, and have no way of cancelling subscription. I had to block all payments on my credit card. They are a scam site basically

Never replied to my email, company really stopped caring about the customers

[Edited] After a couple of tries, I changed the configuration of the figurine and an intact one arrived. I think that the hammer has a structural issue so needs to be re-engineered.

I received the replacement figure today for one that was broken in transit and am absolutely flabbergasted. After one month of eager waiting, the figure was SHIPPED broken. Unlike the original, the broken portion of the weapon wasn't even in the package indicating that it was broken during fabrication or packing. Whoever put it in the package broke it and decided it was a good idea to ship it broken.

I am very, very disappointed. When can I receive the intact figure that I paid for?

Paid 10 dollar shipping cost from a factory in the Netherlands to an address in the Netherlands. 💀

I am beyond disappointed in the miniature we received. I ordered it for my husband’s birthday as a gift, at the very beginning of August and it didn’t ship until the day before his birthday (the 24th). When we finally received it, it looked NOTHING like the one I designed. But I’m surprised I could even tell with how tiny the thing is. $50 for a piece of plastic trash.

I ordered the Premium Plastic unpainted one, and I am very impressed with the details and the quality of the print. Very much worth the cost!

I was hesitant to order the colored version, because it seemed like it was printed in colored plastic instead of being painted. Reading other reviews it seems like people have too high expectations to color prints being like a painted mini, that simply isn't in the technology, yet.

Maybe Heroforge could add a "Handpainted" option to their minis in the future. I know I would happily pay for that service!

Customer service gets an A+. Due to construction, my street changed name recently. This wasn't updated on Google Maps, and therefore the courier service didn't complete the delivery. I got in contact with customer service, and they promptly started working on a re-delivery. I was prepared to pay additional cost due to the misaddress being a mistake on my part, BUT they sent it free of charge. It arrived just 4 business days later.

I definitely will use Heroforge again in the future. Great product, great service, and a great price.

Everything was fine. Was a bit worried because of the long shipping to Germany but I received the package within a month.
Quality was as advertised.

I paid $80+ after shipping and the item that came was such low quality. I paid for a painted mini and his face wasn't touched at all. I also added a metallic effect to the wings and sword. They painted half the sword and the wings were marbled. Oh and to add the wings it was $20. With the price I thought I'd get a high quality item, not something that looks worse than if I painted it myself.

I ordered my minis on June 10 with standard European shipping. I didn't expect them to arrive in a few weeks but they came in today! Every mini is wrapped singularly in bubble-wrap and the inside of the box was also covered in it. Really fast and responsible shipping, I recommend.

I see a lot of people complaining about the colored minis in the reviews and my advice is: get the 2D colored standee. I did, and it's extremely detailed and looks a solid 98% like the HeroForge preview. It also appears to be quite sturdy, although I personally don't plan on doing a stress test on it. I will always get 2D colored standees only, because I'd like my minis to have the same format and also it proved itself a really nice product, fine quality-price rate.

P.S: I placed my order with a friend so we could split the shipping costs, that I also recommend. Since the shipping cost doesn't change from 1 to at least 15 minis it makes a lot more sense to make a collective order with somebody else and pay a few bucks each instead of 15$ all by yourself.
