This company is a fraud!
Where do I start.. this company is a fraud and you’d be way better off booking with local companies for each part of the trip. They promise good hotels with good locations, good guides, good AC cars, water, full breakfast, and a host of other things.
In reality, you get hotels out of the way where you are stuck after tours, which stink and have dirty clogged bathrooms, and do not provide water unless you keep asking. The camel rides, etc. which are supposed to be included, they ask you to pay for.
Amit Tomar, the organizer with this company is the worst. He says you are bothering him if you call asking about the promised things for the money you paid and makes you feel like you are begging and he is doing charity.
The tour guides spend less time showing things and more forcing you to go to stores and buy overpriced things from which they earn commission. The exception was the tour guide in Leh - he was the only decent human.
This Delhi company outsources the tours to local companies and sits there doing nothing and eating the majority of the profit.
Everyone should profit and that is why people are in business. But this company has no moral compass. Our flight from Leh to Delhi got canceled due to weather, and they didn’t bother to check or inform us. All flights were getting canceled for the past 2 days and our internet service didn’t work there, so we didn’t know until we got to the airport. The hotel WiFi is a joke at every location as they book the cheapest hotels. We had to get tickets from Srinagar and drive 12 hours to Srinagar at the end of the tour since the Leh flight got canceled. In that stressful situation, they tried to charge double of what Google was showing for the flights. I got the flights myself and they charged an ungodly amount for the drive and promised a good, AC car with a professional driver. It’s hot here in the summer, and air quality is bad, so AC is a requirement. We agreed as we were at their mercy at the time - our flight from Delhi to DC was next day and we couldn’t afford to shop around. I was traveling alone with my 14-year old daughter and from the beginning, I said my priority was safety. The driver was a fanatic and had us hear religious songs the whole way, kept spewing hate about India and stopping at dark places and walking away without a word, drove like a madman through super narrow, winding mountain roads in the rain, and kept turning off the AC. Places he stopped at to eat, men stared at us is obscene ways and we couldn’t get off the car. So we didn’t eat for a full 27 hours. When I contacted Amit about how scared we were, he laughed and said I am causing problems when there are none. When I sent him photos of mucus and hair in the hotel bathroom, he said it’s a bottle cap and he checked the room himself and that I am harassing him. I paid $2,552 for the 2 of us for 12 days, and you can *yourself* get the same hotels, guides, and cars for the following prices on Google: $500 for the same hotels, $800 for the Toyota Inova car, $175 for government approved tour guide. Everything else is on your own. These are consumer prices and are obviously higher than what the travel agency pays for. And you see the margin. Top it with awfully rude customer service. Lesson learned.
