I had a bad experience first time, but then thought; maybe they've read the reviews themselves and got their act together??
Don't be daft!
I ordered 60kg, which comes in two boxes = 30kg each.
Needless to say each box was smashed to pieces with one of the bags of seed inside, split open, contents everywhere - mostly over the back of the delivery van.
But no markings or label on any of the bags - so when there's an issue & customer services (ha,ha) ask for a photo of the label on the product = forget it. You'll get nowhere.

I can’t believe the bad reviews here. I’ve been using Hopewells for about 8 years, the only time there was a discrepancy was at the start of the first Covid lockdown down but was soon put right. They deliver the next day, I have bird foods, peanuts, sunflower hearts and Robin mix seeds, all are perfect with no waste. I see they’ve changed their name, I’m still buying from them. Wouldn’t change to another seller.
And no, this is not AI, I can assure you I am a genuine customer. My last order was delivered on the 20th May 26.

They only sent half the consignment then ignore emails and when you call they pretend they can't hear you. Product is poor quality and the delivery is NOT next working day. AVOID.

Hopewellsfeeds are exceptional. Their parrot food is top quality very reasonable and free next day delivery. I placed my order at 07.55 on Monday and it arrived at 1pm on Tuesday. It arrived very well packaged. I will never shop anywhere else. Thanks to everyone at Hopewells for your superb service.

I should have read the reviews prior to ordering from this company.
Scandalous phoned me to say they had cancelled my order as they had made a mistake on their Amazon site.
No remorse or standing by their error

Bought a 15lb bag of this food for my pet dog ..she did enjoy the food …but by day 3her underbelly ears and feet has turned dark pink ..she was nibbling and chewing away at her skin ..had to go vet for steroids to bring inflammation down ..

- These jokers may have been making birdseed for ages, but are newcomers to dogfood and it shows.
- ANYONE putting Fructo-oligosaccharides into dogfood needs shooting: a fast-track to obesity and diabetes. Also explains why it turned up clumped together like muesli covered in golden syrup.
AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THEIR ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Want to complain and get your money back - no problem, IF you pay up to half the price of the purchase to send it back.

What a turnaround. I wrote a terrible review for this company 4 years ago. I only purchased from them this time not realising it was Hopewells. But, what a change! Good price; fast delivery; excellent product. Keep that up and I will keep coming back. Well done

I had been buying dog food via Ebay . I noted that thet the company advertised that one could buy it direct .Myself and a friend tried to buy via their site . What a fiasco . The booking on page completed and advanced to the payment section . My internet protection did not like them at all . I continued , all details of my credit cars appended and then refused . I phoned them ,I might not be into rocket science but , I suspect , a young man answering my enquiry was on another planet .. On Ebay it was £24.99 on their site £19.99 , both inclusive of postage . I gave my credit card details to him to place my order , 'that will be £48.98 '. Lets start again , absolute waist of time . Their site I was told was being updated and contained old prices , so why are you currently openly advertising them at an incorrect price. Talk amongst yourselves whilst that was being worked out . No purchase made and none since .
Prior to this I did receive a bag of dog food which had sticky tape mending the broken sack . After complaining I refused an offer of 5% off and accepted 10%.

Ordered 25 kg peanuts said to be”super premium pale skinned whole jumbo nuts”
They were nothing of the kind at all. Small, slightly shrivelled,dark skinned with a proportion of halves .Very poor.
The next day delivery took two days.
Emailed to complain ten days ago with no response.

I've been buying sunflower hearts from Hopewells for over a year via ebay. I use 20kg about every 3 weeks and the quality has always been good, the delivery very prompt. Communication is excellent and even though ebay offered 20kg from an alternative supplier for a pound cheaper last time I needed to order I stayed with Hopewells confident of excellent service.

I tried to order some bird seed from the LoveYourPet website today, it let me enter my order, setup an account and entre my credit card details. I received an email confirming that my account had been established, but the site would not accept my credit card details and displayed a message stateing "The vendors account is closed". I then rang them on the number listed on the website and was told that the website has not been functioning for the past year and that they have no access to the information I entered. BEWARE

Ordered 2 x 25kg bags of peanut nibs - stated to be Johnston & Jeff - what I got was 4 x plain plastic bags of 12.5kgs of peanut nibs that were soft, mushy and going off.
With the £10 delivery charge this was close on to £90 cost - for absolute rubbish
Despite several phone calls and emails to the company, they totally ignore them.
Jonathan Hopewell (has seperate email address, but no phone number and works from home), is the supposed CEO of this SCAM COMPANY - advertising genuine feed and sending out remnants of processed peanuts that have been stored for too long.
Would give ZERO stars if I could.
The company has no morals and you will NOT get what you ordered, business and customer care ethics are non existent - AVOID AT ALL COSTS AND GO ESLEWHERE.

After many emails I then logged a complaint via Citizens advice for Trading Standards (who did follow it up!), also logged same with bank with a backcharge claim, also contacted Johnston & Jeff directly for them to investigate, which they did.
End result
Got money back as well as some feed to recompense the return postage costs.
Would not use again, owner ignores complaints until legal head gets raised.

Used hopewells for years and years, since I've started ordering online I've had the worst experience. Next day delivery is never next day delivery and they usually delivery 4 or 5 days after so you pay the £10 next day delivery for it never to be next day! The last two orders have had items missing. The last time I emailed and they then sent the missing items out with no explanation. This time they have ignored 4 emails sent and I still have missing items. Not good when your spending £100 a go.

Won't be ordering again from them again, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Bought fish food from Hopewell’s through eBay - fish wouldn’t eat it. Called Hopewells left a message - manager never called back, I texted him then - nothing!

Open a case with eBay which was also ignored.
Would not use this company again.

I left a terrible review for Hopewells last April. I was never going to use them again. But looking online for wild bird feed, they were the cheapest by some way and promised 2 day delivery. So, I gave them another chance. It was worth it. The products were delivered within 2 days and are fine. I will use them again.

Poorest quality, false description. Been buying their bulk wild bird seed and other animal feed since 2018. Quality of bird food noticably getting poorer but last batch (2x15kg) contained mainly grain, some black sunflower seeds and a scattering of suet pellets. Site description and bags list specifically 4 types of seeds plus "some others" and more ingredients. Contacted them asking for at least partial refund - TWICE - NO RESPONSE. Normally mix theirs with better quality seed mix and sunflower hearts (bought elsewhere) in feeders. This lot fit for wood pigeons only. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, will be reporting them to PayPal.
To update, reported them to PayPal within their time-frame. Had difficulties submitting correspondence (we need to recontact seller). Tried on 2 different phones. Reported this to PayPal. Eventually received notification that correspondence had been time lapsed, despite their never replying to my last "chat" notice to them re-reporting problem. So much for PayPal.

Appalling, took the money out of my account including £5.99 next day delivery charge, over £45 in total. Nothing received, won’t answer phone or the several emails sent, web site taken down. I understand during this difficult time things don’t arrive on time But any reputable company would contact you if there was a problem
Don’t order anything off these people

Waiting over a month for my order. Wont answer the phone or reply to emails or messages.
