they have no clue what they are doing
they have no clue what they are doing. we had a main email account and an alias with hosting.com. they migrated us and AFTER that they tell us uhhh yeah we cannot do alias accounts. then they delete ALL our email accounts. this is three business days so far with no email

Long-Time Customer! Deeply Disappointed! Service Has Gone Downhill — Time to Move On
I used to really appreciate this company — great prices and great service. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. They charged me for years for a service I never signed up for and failed to renew domains I had already paid for. Even after I provided proof of payment through PayPal, they insisted I pay an additional fee because the renewal was past the grace period — which only happened because they didn’t process the renewal on time.
Customer service has been incredibly frustrating to deal with. I had nearly 100 domains with them, but I’ll be transferring all of them elsewhere. It’s clear they no longer care about their customers. In an industry with so much competition, this level of negligence and indifference is unacceptable. It's time they step off their high horse and start delivering the service they promise.
FYI It's been the last almost 2 years I've been dealing with garbage. Do I recommend? Hell NO! Time to switch to a company that values their clients!

Our sites were migrated from HostMySite…
Our sites were migrated from HostMySite - which was a really good outfit - to Hostway. Absolutely appalling migration which led to 60 hours downtime on our B2B site. I was hours on the phone with numerous Support people, who knew NOTHING about how to solve the multitude of problems. Some of their suggestions were outright stupid - obviously "I" cannot connect using a .local address. Absolutely disgraceful service. Moving provider after 20 years is a massive job but I am seriously considering it.

My business website was migrated from…
My business website was migrated from hostmysite.com to hostway.com. Migration and hostway.com are a disaster! No warning it was coming. No instructions as to how to adjust settings in Outlook or iPhone. Talked to a guy in Romania who was not very helpful and hard to understand. Clients were complaining that I had not responded to them. Still trying to sort it out. iPhone email still not working on IMAP.

Excellent hosting service
I mainly use Hostway for email and DNS management. The control panel is easy to use. Their email spam filtering customization and performance are excellent, and was a deciding factor in my choosing Hostway. Uptime is indistinguishable from 100%. Customer service is great, though rarely needed. Did a lot of research before selecting Hostway, and they continue to live up to my expectations.
