I also had a major leak with my hydroviv. It has been installed for about a year and the fitting broke loose sending water all over my kitchen. What a mess. It had been running for about 20 minutes. Lucky I was home. I would not use hydroviv until they change their cheap plastic fittings.

After 2 years with no issues my under-sink hydroviv water filter suffered a catastrophic failure. The plastic hose that connects the filter to the cold water line broke and completely flooded my kitchen. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I now have to find a water remediation company to make sure I don't get mold. THANKS HYDROVIV 🖕

They are extremely expensive, also the replacement filter never arrived, there was a damage report through UPS then all of a sudden the tracking said proof of delivery when it never arrived, I filed a claim through PayPal and expect to be refunded and canceled all future subscriptions, I DON'T RECOMMEND HYDROVIVE

I had one filter that worked, and one that blew out! It flooded the kitchen cabinet, and the basement ceiling and walls. Took 3k in restoration costs. They have plastic fittings.

Do not buy this product. The housing split open in the middle of the night one night. Water filled our kitchen and rained through the ceiling of our basement. The team was quick to send a return label for us to send back the product for their "inspection and next steps", and refunded our last filter replacement. Never heard a word from them again except to offer that I could mail a letter to someone in Chicago with my concerns. What kind of a company doesn't use email to communicate. I regret mailing the damaged product back. We had hundreds of dollars worth of damage to flooring, sheetrock, etc. Thank god we were home that evening or our entire basement would have flooded.

This is a marketing scam.

I cannot speak to the quality of this filter because I’ve decided not to purchase it due to misleading advertising. As a scientist, I have reviewed the independent, scientific research from UNC that they cite on their website (Herkert et al 2020)and can confirm that they have selectively presented data. Specifically, they chose to highlight filters from the study that performed poorly while omitting under-the-sink and dual-stage systems that performed just as well or better. The full results are available in the supplemental material of the study, where you can find numerous alternatives that effectively remove PFAS. In fact, the research shows that reverse osmosis and dual-stage systems, in general, performed well. When I confronted the company about this omission, they responded in a dismissive and misleading manner. If their filter is so good, why would they need to cherry pick the data and be deceitful?

The system is easy to install, but unfortunately doesn't filter much. If you are hopeful on improving the taste of city water, save your time and money and get a RO system.
This was a waste and probably works with clean, non-city water.

Tested it ourselves with an at home kit, and it isn't pure as advertised. They will also demand seeing your home test kit results and then send a generic response stating home test kits are not sufficient or reliable. Unreal.

Further, the unit leaks.

Lastly and most importantly, despite explaining the above, the customer service is non existent. They are extremely rude and resend the same cookie cutter template responses with perhaps one sentence or two embedded within the template to address your particular concerns. They send and resend the same links to their warranty and return policy, wholly disregarding that selling a defective, arguably falsely advertised product voids the contractual terms as the consumer is not receiving what we paid for.

I exchanged emails with a few people, but Shane was particularly snarky, unpleasant, unhelpful and beyond unreasonable. As you can see, he has been given 1 star, low reviews by other customers, as well. It is a shame the company is not realizing basic business etiquette and the importance of customer service.

Despite the defective filter not working and leaking, they will do everything under the sun to get SOME payment from their customers: whether it be with the product sale, subscription or with a "restocking" "return" fee that is outrageously high. It is quite unfortunate.

After their failure to work out an amicable solution of allowing me to return their defective product for a full refund, as would be the only fair solution in this case, I am left with no other option but to spend more of my time to submit a claim with my credit card company as this business is falsely advertising a product that does not work, and remain wholly unhelpful.
Run the opposite direction, and do not give this company your business or time.

Very unfortunate and unfair experience with Hydroviv Under-Sink Water System. Im a disabled veteran and I purchased just one filter system with the promise for clean, readily accessible water for my kitchen sink.

Regrettably, my experience has been far from satisfactory or desirable. From the beginning I tried to open the filter system and couldn't. I emailed customer service several times until they responded. You cant call them. They do not answer phones. Very antiquated company. Dealing with a lack of professionalism and customer service it's not something I expected to face after investing in a water filtration system designed to improve my household and the price being charged.

I was told to install the system anyway. Why would anyone do that? I cant remove the filter cap!! If installed they would not accept a return. Returns are a joke with this company too! I told them my issues, im disabled, a veteran, older and cant open the cap holding the filter. They dont have a customer friendly return policy. You have to pay the shipping to send this back and top of all this they charge you a 25% restock fee!! its defective!

Its a scamming company that feeds upon disabled older folks. I was told exceptions could be made for the restocking fee. Then I was told after sending it back that there are no exceptions. It was uninstalled, in the original box with nothing missing.

In conclusion, I wont be buying any other products from Hydroviv. I recommend staying away from this company because they are unprofessional and scammers. When investing in a water filtration system, the customer seeks trust, confidence, and a peace of mind, not feeling being taken advantage of. Unfortunately, my experience with Hydroviv has not delivered on these expectations and should be shunned and investigated.

So I bought a shower filter in Nov on 2021 and it hasn’t done anything to improve the quality of my shower water, in fact my skin has never been more dry!! I contacted the company to have them send me ANY documentation that their product woks as advertised and they have NOTHING!! They just gave me the runaround and blew me off! You can’t call them they only reply via email or chat! I submitted a 3 star review and it was immediately deleted from their site so they obviously delete any low or negative reviews. DON’T trust this company. Their products are GARBAGE! Any ethical company would provide documentation that their product works as intended. I’m currently disputing this charge with my CC company. What a SCAM!!
I requested a refund but of course it's out of their "30 window" for return. Any ethical company would stand by their product and issue a refund but they aren't ethical. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!
