TLDR: No way bad service, cheap Chinese product

Bought a chair loved the design and setup was easy. The bar to stop reclining was very weak and barely could do its job without torquing to one side when engaged, but whatever NBD.

Within a month of the purchase the gas cylinder to keep the chair up started going down. This mind you is not because of use as I was traveling most of the time during this period. 45 days into the purchase I asked for a replacement part, no dice. Customer support took days between responses and often I had to start from the beginning with what was going on. It was told to me that I was out of warranty within 60 days of getting the chair and that I would have to pay for shipping and parts.

After that point I just decided to deal with the issue but within 6 months of having the chair the bottom has stretched out and I am now sitting on the metal bracket. Mind you I am not 450 lbs. This is ridiculous. I am now continuing to use it out of pride with a seat doughnut on it until I finally am willing to spend money on another chair.

I wish it told you that parcel tracking and shipping was an additional charge prior to order confirmation. It simply sent me a text/email with a total and I wasn’t able to preview it. I have messaged them and I’m sure I’ll hear back shortly and to refund me the $19 tracking charge.

I ordered two of their office chairs and assumed that because they're more expensive than comparable Amazon versions, they'd be better quality. Not so. It turns out that some of the "chrome" parts where screws attach are actually made of plastic. One area around a screw broke off after 13 months of normal home office use. When I contacted customer service, I was told "Our standard guarantee is for 30 days after receiving the order." That means unless you buy the extended warranty, you have no recourse for a defective item 30 days after PURCHASE (not delivery). I'm trying to get a refund through my credit card company's extended warranty benefit but I'm having trouble because there's no "warranty" explicitly stated anywhere, just a "standard guarantee." This is important to know and I will never purchase from this site again.

The two star rating is because the chairs do look nice and I was happy with them until they proved defective.
