Freegle Avis 

I hate throwing away anything that can be recycled/ repaired/reused. So, when I found Freegle a few years ago I have managed to give away so many things, which probably would have ended up in landfill.

Cannot fault Freegle. I literally use it every day to keep an eye out for useful free items and materials to repurpose or reuse. I've also been successful asking for items people have they don't need any more.

Free to use, supported by voluntary donations rather than ads.

Some goods go like hot cakes. 12 enquires in one day for a gym exercise machine. It is great to see things being repurposed and not just dumped at the local council tip. I suspect some offered goods might be taken to a car boot sale by some Freeglers, but I don't care as long as they find a home.

I arrived in UK a few days ago ... freegle has been amazing this far. It really is a great tool in terms of upcycling recycling and reusing. I am not yet allowed out of isolation (10 day rule) but am looking forward to fetching items being held for me. (Much appreciated). Thankyou

Fabulous website. Such a great concept to reduce waste in society. I have donated items but also collected ones and it has always been a smooth process. It is a great way to give back.

I've used freegle at least 50 times to get rid of things when moving out, and to acquire new goods for my new house. I just leave stuff out the front of my house and people collect it (as arranged) - it's brilliant!
It's awful to waste so much stuff, and it's amazing what other people use

Freegle has been my go to reuse website to give away stuff (I am at a decluttering stage of my life mostly) for years now - useful features, responsive volunteers behind it. Occasionally someone asks for something without thinking it through and then drops out - but they can be rated with a thumbs up/down, so this keeps us all a bit more considerate! I love the breadth of asks: camper van, to nasturtium leaves to make pesto!

A great way to enable Recycling, Reusing and Repairing. I have both given and received many times on Freegle and all experiences have been positive. To anybody wanting to reduce waste you should definitely give it a go.

I've used Freegle for years and saved tons of perfectly usable items from going into landfill. I've never had any issue while donating. Freegle is a really great service!

Freegle is a very straight forward way to clear unwanted items to people in your area. Really easy to use. It's not as prone as other sites to have no-shows and time wasters, either, I've found. I really enjoy using it. Seems very well run by volunteers.

I have been a member for many years now and have got rid of alot of stuff from my home, as I am a bit of a hoarder. This is pleasing to know that other people can make use of it and it's not going into a landfill. I also have collected other peoples items & also made use of it.
It's a fantastic site and every town should be doing this to help the enviroment.

Freegle is a great place where you can give away and or receive many things giving them a second chance rather than ending up at your local tip
People are so friendly and welcoming volunteers are helpful and very friendly great place great idea Im glad I became aware of it

It been a great site to both receive items and give them a second use ( os third or fourth) as well and a great chance to give things away.
It really make you thing about what item still have life in them and may be useful to others even seemingly random things can find a home which is fantastic!
Everyone I have spoken too has been lovely and feel like it own community which is nice to feel a part of.

Brilliant service for putting together people who have with people who want. Instead of binning stuff you don't want, or buying stuff you do, try looking here. It's wonderful to know that your castoffs are finding someone who truly wants them. You occasionally come across someone less than genuine (as always in this world) but people can get scored thumbs up or down, so you can choose who to deal with.

This is an absolutely brilliant site, I've freegled lots now and it is amazing what is put there that people want to give away. Every single person ive met has been so kind and friendly, I havent met a single grumpy person through freegling it is such a lovely community. 🥰 I would massively reccomend everyone to get on freegle, it's amazing what you can pick up and it's amazing what you can get rid of too. Theres nearly always someone out there that will want it and it saves it from the landfill which is amazing, we need more freegling and less bin collections 😁🥰

Like many others have said, I don't usually bother with leaving reviews such as this. But I felt it was my duty as it is a great way of saving stuff from landfill and its a nice community 👍

Freegle is fantastic. I have been using it for years; mostly for GIVING. Almost all my 'stuff' goes and almost always people are extremely grateful. I am pleased that things are recycled and go to good homes.
