Freegle Avis 

I love to give back where possible. So when I found Freegle it met all my needs. It is a friendly easy to use website

I've been moving house and am very pleased to give away all sorts of household items (cooker, microwave, light fittings, building materials) that I don't have a use for. Super happy to keep stuff out of landfill whilst giving someone else a hand. The app is good and aside from a few outages and crashes it's functional and easy to use.

But oh man, the freegling experience. With the exception of one or two lovely straightforward people, I get rude over-entitled demands, people don't show up, people who disappear for days, even people who demand you take your stuff to THEM. It makes me want to toss everything in a skip and just walk away (ofc I won't because - landfill).

So I both appreciate the app and the service it provides and absolutely loathe the experience.

Great way to pass on things to others that can make use of them and save from the tip. Everyone's been very friendly and reliable. Now preparing the next batch.

The Freegle website and app are so hugely useful. I've given away and got so many things on them. It's a great way to keep useful things from going to waste by passing them on to other people nearby who can make use of them. Very easy to use.

Freegle (ilovefreegle.org) is a well-organised site, giving both sides of recycling, the givers and the receivers excellent opportunities to benefit, and making huge impacts on reducing landfill, thus making our planet a little greener.
There are things that could be improved, but it is clear that these are being addressed and remedied on a regular basis by the development team.
In the vast majority, users of the site have great respect for it, but most of all for each other and our respective environments.
Sometimes, it feels a little like Christmas!
Amazingly, it is free!
Governments could maybe benefit from studying this model?

I love freegle - a way to pass on stuff I might otherwise have to throw out and also a great way to get things I need.

Excellent service, the app is great and support is there and very helpful if you need it.

Brilliant service. Cuts waste and finds a good home for all those things you no longer need.

What could be better than getting free stuff from great people an giving the things you don't need to people who appreciate it. Its a win win situation.

A most useful site to recycle, asking for things you need or give away those you do not use anymore!

I love the fact that nothing goes to waste. Even things that might need fixing there are people who will be happy to take it and repair for there own use. Even a empty box can find a home. I use it to both give away and receive and never have had any problems with the site or the people using it, I would encourage everyone to join and save things from land fill

I've been using Freegle for years. I find it invaluable for getting rid of (sometimes quite random) things and for getting things I want but don't want to buy new. Join us!

I love listing unwanted items knowing they are going to a good home and not a land fill! I have never had any issues and collectors are genuine and grateful. This is an amazing organisation run by trust worthy people. Well done to you for what you are doing I applaud you.

Simple to use, if you need something look through the posts or if you have something you don't want. Post It !
Only down side is people who don't turn up.

A great site which is responsibly used. A really good way to source good materials that would otherwise be chucked away.

A great site that's easy to use and also prevents landfill. I use it constantly and have never had any issues.

Have given and received all sorts of stuff via Freegle. Love it. You get the occasional person who lets you down, but that’s life.
