If I could give no stars I would. 4 times today, I've attempted to get an Indian visa, website has timed out every time, regardless of how fast I type. The save and continue function doesn't work. The number to continue partially completed applications, sent to email just plain doesn't work and just makes you start the entire application again .The website is a national embarrassment, It looks like a primary school kids first assignment. After being told 10 years ago in Nepal as an Australian citizen that I have to fly home if I want a 6 month Indian visa- I flew to Europe instead. Now 10 years later I'm going to Malaysia and Indonesia instead as its impossible to get an Indian visa. I've been trying for 2 days and have given up. Bravo India Bravo. what a slick tourism sector.

I have seen all the other reviews and think Indian Government needs to make this website a lot easier. I've never had problems with this website but there are a few things I would like to point out.
* I travel to see my family and friends and book hotels through booking.com. Why doesn't the website register that and needs additional address of the website?
* Why is parents information required when you coming as a tourist? what does the parents information has to do with it? As a middle aged person?
*Why do I need to give a reference of someone in India If I've provided the name of the Hotel?
*The website should use a little more algorithm to understand with the age of the child when putting information.
I understand the frustration of people about the website being slow.
This website frustrates people to not visit India rather than excite to pack your bags.
Such an amazing opportunity ruined by the mediocre user interface to fill the forms.

I completely agree with all the other negative reviews. This website is horrid, slow, confusing, and makes you change your PDF document 20 times until you finally fulfill their miniscule file size requirements.

Omg, I cannot believe how shit this website is. First of all it's a hassle to fill in the form; page keeps closing, saying there's an error and not letting me upload my files even though they meet the criteria. I got a rejection of my first application with the reason; multiple applications, I had only sent that one! The rejection came fast though, in about 20 hours. So I sent a new one, I checked the page regularity for 3 days and got nothing... I called them, as it had exceeded the 72 hours. A very angry guy picked up and told me I had had the visa for 3 days? I asked him why they never sent it to me and he said because I had previously bought a fake visa! yeah I was stupid and accidentally paid way too much for a scam visa, but what does that have to do with anything! So at this point I'v e paid for THREE visas AND missed my flight.

I have been trying to apply for visa and it is failing. Come on India you went to the moon and you are letting some one ruin you reputation with this kind of website?

This review is regarding the official Indian Goverment eVisa website, not a third party site.
This government site is absolutely appalling. Does not save application progress correctly, cuts you off, will not accept some pdf and jpeg attachments and some punctuation without any explanation.
Pressing “next” often takes you back to the beginning of the application process where you’ll be confronted with an unpopulated form so have to start all over again.
Don’t bother calling the “help” line, it’s a waste of time.
Trust me on this, you will be pulling your hair out and throwing your laptop out of the window before the application task is complete. Which of course it never will be. Use an agent.

Really terrible form and I agree with all that has been said below. My mother who is 90 booked and paid to go to Delhi, it was on her wish list to visit the Taj Mahal. Questions on the form were not geared for a retired person and anyone who was deceased. When going back into the form answers had been changed after changing time and time again. Inserting a picture was a real trial even after it was submitted it was rejected without a clear reason why. The 7 day allowance for filling it out soon passes putting extra pressure on re submitting it. £40 payment is not refundable, so payment is required again. My mother is seriously thinking about cancelling the holiday which will mean no refund for what she has paid. What a sham! How to put people off visiting India. Really disappointing and the worse service and badly designed form I have seen, SHAMEFUL!!!

Not even worth 1-star rating for a national government website for international applicants. Disgraceful for a country with smartest engineers and developers. After several attempts where I enter my data and click 'submit' the page refreshes and asks me to enter the data again!

This website is incredibly and unbelievably AWFUL!! I can't believe it's the official one of the Indian government. They should be ashamed of themselves!! The site bounces you off the page and then gives you the same one over and over and over to fill out. Then it times you out!! Then you try to call and either get hung up on or put on hold with someone saying you will be helped in 4 minutes, but after 40 minutes it still says the same thing. I have been traveling the world for 60+ years and this is the worst experience I have ever had, anywhere, and I have been in some crazy places!! Really, India, can't you do better than this????? With all of your IT experts, you give us this very awful website to get an e-visa? This has to be costing you thousands of tourists and millions of dollars each year. Get your act together!! And clean up the sites that you say rob us of our money. The consumer really has no good information - you should all be very ashamed of yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Worse people to deal with, Apllied Evisa for my Kid, My wife made mistake in passport Number while filling the application and they Issued a Visa with the Wrong Passport Number even they had Passport copy attached with the Application and without verifying detail with the passport. Then we applied visa again with the correct Passport number and they rejected by replying that my kid already has a Valid Visa, There are illiterate people siting there and issuing and rejecting visa without checking/Matching any Detail with the Passport. Emailed them and try to clarify but no reply from them also called them several time but answer machine putting on hold hold and hold. THEY Just Need Money this is their MOTTO....indianvisaonline.gov.in

The service provided by this company is unacceptable. They have taken over £30 from my account and rejected my visa application, citing an unclear picture. Despite my attempts to re-upload the image, the website malfunctioned. I reached out via email and spent 40 minutes attempting to contact them by phone, only to be denied a refund.

the webside has the worst user interface I have ever encountert. load time is insumontable long, link 20 min,
had to restart the process probably 10 time. It did't save the progress correctly.
I simply can't believe this is an government website.
It is so horrible!

the only saving grace is: the processing of the actual application, which took next to no time.

But honestly I have never encountered a visa process which left me so frustrated that I'm kinda not happy to visit anymore.

Awful process. Passport and application letter needed to be converted and were too big. Had to use adobe services online to compress. Not happy about the formatting as did not accept commas in addresses or +44 for UK on phone numbers. No explanation to why parts of form needed correcting and how. Lots of guessing. 2 hours later it let me complete and wanted 100 USD payment. Used paypal. When I asked for a generated receipt the website gave a 500 server error/404 Page not found. India sort your visa site out. Most would think it was a pathetic attempt to scam people.

This is the worst government website and visa application process I have ever had. And I'm from Brazil, where websites suck

do not use this service it is a complete ripoff. They ask you for information once that is complete they send you the govt visa application form and charge through the nose for it. do not use this rip off website.

The website is laborious and difficult. It loses contact, cuts you off. When you do manage to to get your application ID accepted, over an hour later and having to log in and log out numerous times, you find some of your answers have been changed!!!! Things have been added and subtracted. Be very careful you check everything again. Our first attempt with changing the size of photos to ridiculously small examples and looking up where to find a citizen's ID number etc took us over 4 hours.

I used the official Indian Government website and paid a total of £67 and a few pennies for a 5 year tourist eVisa. I completed my application at 19:41 on a Tuesday evening and received notification that my eVisa was granted at 15:42 the following day. I emailed a query re downloading of the eVisa and this was responded to at 19:06. It seems from some of the reviews that people are visiting third party sites rather than the official Indian Government site. Speak as you find, I have no complaints with the service.

absolutely scams in Manchester they charging £116 for each visa,also they charging for any minimum things they do,so rude people and they don't have any respect for anyone,so I have cancelled my travel and goodbye for rude people

This site is a SCAM. They wanted USD$159 for a visa for India. The actual proce of the visa, directly from the Indian Government is only USD $40. Luckly the payment processing for my visa didnt work on this site but I feel very uncomfortable tha they have all my information now! DO NOT USE THIS SITE

It is a scam.
We were on their web page and proceeded with the application for a visa for India. Before confirming, we saw the price for this visa which was about 165USD.
So we decided not to proceed - BUT they still debited our account without our authorization. And now they refuse to refund us.
Again, we did not use their service!
