Do not buy from this company
Absolute rip off and just want your money
I bought a policy from this company
A week later they came and installed a black box in my car
After the installation the car never worked again and I was at a loss of £1500 and with out a car
Then denied liability for the damage even though I had a report by professional mechanic to say the problem that the car doesnt work due to a problem with the wiring where they fitted the box
I was with out a car for 4 months
Then I bought a new one
I had to pay for a new black box installation
Then drove it for the 8 months I had left
I renewed my policy with them to save the headache thinking it was just a accident with what happened before
4 months into the new policy I was informed by them that my mileage is running low and I need to buy more mileage even though Iv only drove 900+ miles
Of the 6000 miles I put down on my policy when I was getting the quote
But they have but they have predicted my milage based on last year policy in which I only drove for 8 months out of the year and the other 4 months the car was I my car park broken
And they want me to pay more money for extra milage
This company is a absolute joke
Stay as far away from this company as possible

Hi Connor, we'd like to take a further look into what happened, as we use very well trained box fitting engineers.

In regards to the mileage, any updates to the number of miles on your policy for the renewal is stated on the renewal quote and documents. We can always run a new renewal quote if you thought you'd be driving more miles in the next year than the previous one. We base the renewal quote on the mileage done in the previous year to try and make it more accurate, and if you then need more miles they can be added, rather than paying for miles you're not going to use. I hope that helps explain.

Immoral & Unhelpful

I had been with Ingenie for 3 years because cheap insurance is what we all want! Be wary as like a spider to a web once you're in they will not let you go. That's without paying £100's of pounds. I had to leave Ingenie because I was getting a new car and they couldn't insure me on it. I tried to ring but there was no number. Instead live chat which was amazing NOT!!! The most rude unhelpful services going. Not only did it take me hours to get a number from Abigail and Emma (yes, twice I had to do live chat because Emma, probably not the real name) but I also had been told they couldn't tell me how much the cancellation would cost because I had a payment due. That payment came out of my account because Ingenie love money but they still want to charge me £140 for the 2 days used cover in! £140 you ask how did they get to that figure!? Well I still don't know. I only found this out 10 days after I cancelled my cover as a debt collection agency contacted me. Ingenie never sent me any information or contacted me saying I owed them money. I then rang Ingenie to try and settle this and they were so rude and wouldn't help me. My credit rating and bank account have now been lowered because of this when all they needed to do was let me know. I'd love to know how I owed £140 and if I can be reimbursed for costs incurred going to a debt collection company and hours of phone calls made to Ingenie. An extremely immoral company and will help to take your money and flat out refuse to give it you back!

PLEASE READ REVIEWS ON INGENIE BEFORE PURCHASING COVER. They clearly have fake good reviews.

Ingenie leave the insurance game or buck your ideas up. You are con artists and trading standards will catch up with you eventually.
