Inside Out Italy Avis 

I came across Inside Out Italy under the most unfortunate circumstances, and somehow they turned what could have been the biggest disappointment of my trip into one of my favorite memories!
I had booked a very expensive private tour with another company because my only real wish was to see Bernini’s Apollo and Daphne. I had spent extra money exactly for this reason. Well… the company simply did not show up. No guide, no clear answer, nothing. I was completely heartbroken and so angry.

And then, thank God, there was a girl from Inside Out Italy nearby.She had absolutely nothing to do with my booking, but she stopped everything to help us. She called the other company from her own phone, tried again and again to reach them and honestly gave us so much comfort while we were standing there not knowing what to do. She was so kind that I almost wanted to cry!!
When we finally understood that nobody was coming, I thought that was it. The Borghese Gallery was sold out and I would never see the sculpture I had travelled for. But somehow, this angel found us two spots on one of their guided tours!!! I still don’t know how she did it. And she even gave us a discount… I mean, seriously, who does that?? Then their office called us and took care of all the arrangements, so we didn’t have to deal with any more stress. They just made everything easy and looked after us from beginning to end.

The tour was wonderful and seeing Apollo and Daphne in person was even more beautiful than I imagined. I went from thinking the day was completely ruined to feeling like the luckiest person in Rome.I really cannot thank this team enough. They helped us when they didn’t have to, solved a problem that wasn’t even theirs and treated us like actual human beings, not just customers.

Now every time someone tells me they’re going to Rome, I say the same thing: book directly with Inside Out Italy!! They really have a great team, full of people who care about their job and about the people standing in front of them.

I used this company when my family came to visit me from the United States, as I really wanted everything to be well organized for their trip.

We first booked a Vatican tour through viator, and I was genuinely impressed with every part of the experience, especially the organization. Unfortunately, some of my family members were delayed because of their flight and were going to arrive late. The team was incredibly helpful, responsive, and reassuring. They managed to accommodate us so that we could still enjoy the full experience without missing anything or having to pay again. I was so grateful that I had booked through an operator, because trying to manage such a stressful situation on my own would have been very difficult. Their support made a huge difference, and the experience was absolutely worth every penny.
The Vatican tour itself was magical. My family comes from a small town in South Carolina, and they were completely amazed by the museums. What they appreciated most, however, was the warmth, knowledge, and passion of our guide.

At the end of the tour, I actually went back to the office to thank the team and ask whether we could also book a Colosseum tour. We did, and once again we had a wonderful experience. The staff even gave us some great recommendations on where to eat and how to enjoy the rest of our day.
One small piece of advice, the forum can be extremely hot around midday in July, so definitely bring water and wear a hat!

This tour was absolutely worth every penny! It exceeded all of our expectations and gave us an experience we simply couldn't have had on our own. We not only skipped the stress of navigating such a busy site, but also learned so much about the Vatican's history, art, and hidden details that we would have completely missed otherwise. Considering everything that was included, the price was excellent value for money.
A very special thank you to our guide, Jag, who truly made the tour unforgettable. His knowledge of the Vatican was exceptional, and he explained everything with so much passion, clarity, and enthusiasm. He answered every question with confidence, shared fascinating stories and historical facts, and kept the entire group engaged from beginning to end. On top of that, his great sense of humor made the experience even more enjoyable.
If you're visiting the Vatican, I can't recommend this tour and especially Jag as your guide highly enough!

We made a last minute skip the line booking with Inside Out Italy in June 2026 and I am so glad we did !
John our tour guide was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and made sure we had all the info we required to enjoy the Sistine Chaple & Vatican museums experience. This team knows how to work under pressure - hundreds of guests each day and yet our queries were answered and our group was well cared for . I wish travellers were more grateful for the wonders of the world instead of being grumpy about the queues !

I booked a guided tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica and it was definitely the best I could get. The meeting point was super easy to reach, just 2 minutes from the main entrance of the Vatican, the staff was well organized and our guide was very knowledgeable and fluent in english.

I highly recommend this agency if you're planning to visit Rome and its masterpieces!

We booked the Colessuem tour. The guy at the meeting point simply handed out stickers and tour phones. He was extremely rude and unhelpful to us as we are a Chinese mother and young daughter group. He did not provide any information on next steps. Did not have any interaction with the tour guide to ensure a headcount of the group. The tour guide simply walked off without headcount and did not bother waiting. It was so crowded and we were half walking and half running trying to catch up. In the end, we lost the group as I'd twisted my ankles on the cobble stones. We end up not doing the tour and Inside Out Italy simply told us to return to meeting point to return the tour phones. The host was extremely rude to me and ordered me to leave when I asked for refund. He is a bully. I will not travel with Inside Out Italy again. It was a terrible experience and I have to now go to a doctor to treat my foot.

We arrived at the Academia Museum Florence to see the David with a different tour company that let us down. Luckily we met the guides from inside out who saved the day!
Thanks to them going above and beyond we got skip the line tickets to get in on the next admission. Looked like we were going to miss the trip until they stepped in. So grateful and once again thank you.

It's a really expensive tour - "Vatican Museums Small Group Tour With Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica". When we were going to see the church, the guide said that it was unfortunately closed today due to an extra activity. The company showed very well that it was closed, and if they had written to us in advance, we would have canceled the tour. But of course they were afraid of losing 200 euros :-(
