Straight Forward Claim Rejected
I have two dinghy insured with Insure4boats but not for much longer. I was racing my Flying Fifteen in the Wednesday night series at Chew. Rounded the windward mark and hoisted the kite. Half way down the tight reach there was a big bang and the port shroud broke. We took the main down and found the mast had been bent. I filled out a claim for and got a quote for a new mast. My claim has been refused on the grounds of wear and tear. This situation is the very reason we buy insurance and if Insure4Boats don't honour the claim there is no point purchasing their cover.

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service and a smooth claims process
I recently had to make a claim for a new dinghy mast following a racing incident, and the entire process was remarkably painless. The initial online claim form was very user-friendly. Dealing with Mr. J Wright at Mac Marine Claims (the loss adjusters) was straightforward and professional throughout.
The claim was paid without any hassle, and the only additional information requested was a quick statement from a safety boat crew member. Thank you for your excellent customer care!
One small suggestion for improvement: It would be great to receive an automated email confirmation whenever information or documentation is submitted online or via email during the process, just for peace of mind.
