My experience with Integrity First was extremely disappointing.
The biggest issue was the amount of time that passed with little to no meaningful progress. In the time I spent waiting on them, I genuinely feel I could have worked on repairing and improving my credit on my own. Instead, I paid thousands of dollars and was left with very little to show for it.
Communication was one of the worst parts of the experience. After taking my money, there was little follow-up, little transparency, and barely any real guidance. I felt like once the payment was made, I was no longer a priority. For a company that presents itself as a financial consultancy, the lack of communication and client care was shocking.
What made it worse was the tone and treatment. At times, I felt judged for my financial situation rather than supported through it — which is the exact opposite of what you would expect when hiring a company in this space. If someone is coming to you for help, they need professionalism, empathy, and a clear process. Not silence and condescension.
Perhaps the most alarming part of my experience was what I was advised to do to "speed up" the process. I was instructed to file a police report claiming identity theft on accounts that were legitimately mine — accounts I had personally opened and was responsible for. This is not a gray area. Filing a false police report is illegal. Using a fraudulent identity theft claim to dispute valid negative accounts is illegal. I was not told this was risky or questionable. It was presented as standard practice.
This is what is known in the industry as black hat credit repair — and it is exactly what regulators warn consumers about. The Credit Repair Organizations Act exists specifically to protect people from companies that use deceptive and illegal methods. I came to this company for legitimate help rebuilding my credit. What I was offered instead was fraud — and had I followed through, I would have been the one facing legal consequences, not them.
I also have serious broader concerns about the methods and overall integrity of the company. I would strongly encourage anyone considering them to do extensive due diligence, get everything in writing, and ask very direct questions about exactly what work will be done on your behalf.
It is especially disappointing because the company seemed far more reliable before leadership changed. Since then, it appears to have become far less organized, far less communicative, and far less trustworthy.
Overall, I regret using Integrity First. Paying $2,000 to $4,000 for poor communication, little visible progress, a frustrating experience, and being pushed toward illegal activity was absolutely not worth it. I cannot in good conscience let others walk into this without a warning.
