Inventr Avis 

I bought this for my niece and nephew a few months ago. They haven't been able to use 30 Days Lost in Space because they have Google Chrome laptops. Their mother is having a hard time trying to figure out how to make the program work on their laptops.

This is a review more about compatibility than it is about the product itself. I can revise it in the future.

Ordering was easy, getting to the course is another thing...
I ordered 2 kits, one for me and one for my brother. I guessed, that the course itself - which is for free - would be accessible for free as well.
Turns out, my brother couldn't use my account to get to his course as well. I could order the same course twice, but there was no nice option to get him the second one. After a while, the second course seemed to be deleted from my account, I still don't know why, since I ordered two kits.
So my brother might need his own account to be able to use his kit, which was a present. This is a bit annoying, considered that he will see price lists now. In the end, the confusing access to the course which is still in my account, lead to me laying aside my kit, waiting for an opportunity (time is limited) to see, if there are better opportunities to get access to the same course twice.

A very well thought learning kit to get in contact with prgramming and wireing. The explaining Videos are well done and clear to understand.
The components of the Kit are high quality and can even be used for other projects.

My experience with Inventr was actually very good despite the delay in the delivery of my Hero kit. There was an advisory on the order page at the time I ordered my kit saying they were experiencing delays in delivery, but I chose to order anyway. I did get confirmation of my order right away. After waiting 10 days for shipment confirmation I wrote to Support and they responded immediately saying that they did have my order and it would be sent. I noticed that the price had dropped the day after I placed my order and they refunded the difference as soon as I called it to their attention.
I did get my Hero Kit and have been enjoying using it along with the tutorials on the website. Inventr has a good product and very good customer service. I found that being patient with them while they coped with a surge in orders was worth it. I will continue to use their products and tutorials.

Great starter kit
The 30 days adventure is fun and engaging and provided for many hours of great father-son activities. The only aspects that left something to be desired where some of the videos which could do with some more editing and refining. Also, some of the explanations and code examples provided required some more googling in order to get everything working. However, the overall experience was great and we learned a lot and got much inspiration for further projects!

I am really enjoying my 30-day Adventure Kit! I have done programming and electronics kits in the past, but this is my first Arduino project. The online materials have been very informative as to how the board works and to use (and not use it) properly. I am busy parent of younger children so this will take me longer than 30-days as it is something I do in my precious little spare time. The kit is very compact and easy to put out of harms way until I have the time to come back to it, which is nice. I am definitely considering purchasing some of the other Inventr.io kits in the future.

I like the course work, the kit is great and the price is fine. I think the course is a great place to start. for the future maybe offer a course that really delves into the code, the explainations you give now are good and helpful but there might be some that have never written code before.

Every since I was a kid I wanted to learn these types of skills, but either at the time is costed too much or required a armful of differently sourced supplies. It's incredible a kit exists out here that reduced the friction for the hobby so that Step by step you can learn how and why things work. Thank you for that Austin. Keep aiming high its working.

Truly love the adventure kit- it's opening up a whole new hobby and possibly more. I will absolutely be recommending it to others, very thankful for companies like yours!

The 30 Days Lost in Space kit is a great starter pack for those interested in the Arduino platform. It has some room fro improvement, namely, use a script and not have coding or wiring mistakes in the training modules. You could do something like that as a bonus training to see if the customer can figure out what is wrong. Overall though 4 out of 5 stars. Nice job.

I'm taking the course alongside my son. I'm a retired Computer Engineer trying to learn more hardware related software. My son has been to some programming courses but is interested in understanding to help him write Roblox games.
This course has been great as it presents new concepts at a pace that we both can keep up with. Each lesson can be completed in about 30 minutes and new syntax and concepts are sprinkled throughout the videos. I usually spend well over 30 minutes reading more about the concepts presented.
My only suggestion for improvement: place some links to the online documents for the libraries as well as the Arduino language itself. I understand that this may be difficult for changing web sites, but some of the main Arduino.cc pages seem pretty stable.

Great idea could be better implemented. Working through the lost in space curriculum there are numerous inconsistencies and quality control issues. Many of the code blocks were incorrect and there was not consistency between the video lessons and code blocks provided.

A curriculum developer and educational advisor would be recommended to improve the course.

I am having a great time with the Ardiuno devices and building EE projects. I have kept the Amazon driver busy. I am up to a Mega 2560 and 4 UNOs. I ordered LCD I2C devices and resistor arrays. I bought dip switches, SN74HC165 and SN74HC595 shift arrays.

I wished you had a forum instead of relying on Facebook.

The courses are well thought out. Going through the program step by step, you can learn allot about programming. Also it is a fun hobby. For what you get the pricing is very competitive.

I had a few issues at first where the board was bad, but they took care of that right away and i was able to jump in. I'm loving the course so far!

The actual kit is very impressive -- I'm impressed you were able to fit so much content into such a little box. The instructional videos that I've seen are not professionally produced and feel like an afterthought, but the kit itself is very well made. Thank you, and God bless you and yours.

I've wanted for motivation to return to the vocation of electronic process control for seven years, and your tale of being lost on the floor of an alien ocean ...it resonated with me as deeply as things go.
I was in a place that felt in many ways like our fictional alien ocean, and I was as determined to adjust my buoyancy through it as expeditiously as possible, while shaking off very dusty knowledge, in the process. I used your story to do that.
Some of the code didn't work. A little tweaking here or there, but SUCH solid coding, here, where it does work, which is most of it, and the rest is my fault, I'm sure, and I'm fine with that! I feel on such a good foundation of understanding, regarding this "coding," now.
What didn't work, you ask? The final launch, and ...oh, what "day" was that... Anyway I didn't and don't care, though my other machine has undoubtedly saved allllll the little drawings. I've already wired up things from another sensor kit. I am addicted to this Arduino machinery and its language, that I will continue tiptoeing into deeper understanding of, it is hoped. I have your OLED telling me the weather inside my home.

This Kit is a great way for anyone to learn about electronics and coding. It provides a great base level and advances steadily to some higher level techniques. Since no soldering is required, it can be recommended to young audiences. I also really like that it has a story and is set up as missions instead of outright lessons.

The Team making the kit clearly know their way around electronic components and coding. The videos can be a little unorganized when explaining some extra content The key points come through clearly. Overall, it is a great kit and a positive learning experience!

I have already recommended this kit to a number of my friends. It will be interesting to see if they make improvements to it or expand upon what they have already built.

I ordered the 30 days lost in space kit in December. Being in the UK it took a while to arrive but that's to be expected as it was dispatched from overseas.
The signup to get to the course videos was pretty straightforward. Broadly speaking, the instructional videos are good but there are some inconsistancies in the C++ code and wiring diagram Vs. what's being show on the screen but it's no big deal.
Summary - great kit, instructional videos are good, would highly recommend.

Very good product, and, most of all, very good service online. Courses are really well done and mails are a really addon.
