I am sorry I took this long to get back but here I am.....
You guys were lovely there is no doubt about that - but
I had to ring each time to get feed back and that is not good when one is anxious for a sale....
I know the property needed updating deco wise but it was in good nick considering what I have moved into which means the price should have not been dropped that easy...I know Covid had a lot to do with it but it should not have been dropped that easily.

Thank you for your review and I am sorry that we didn't earn 5 stars with your move. That always makes me look more carefully at what we did because we do pride ourselves on going the extra mile.
I have spoken to Rhys Burtenshaw about your sale and I can see we arranged 18 viewings before you decided to accept an offer at £250,000. Whilst it's always a hard decision to 'take an offer', I think the level of exposure and viewings showed that we found the true current market value having tried a higher asking price.
It isn't always possible to give instant viewing feedback, but I know that selling your home can be an anxious process and communication is key - we will take your feedback on board in a positive fashion.
I can see that you found us easy to deal with which is a plus and I know we were able to help you with key collection etc at completion which I am sure also helped. I hope we will have the chance to assist you or your family and friends again at some point and earn a 5 star review next time around.

Buying and selling property is stressful
Buying and selling property is one of the most stressful things a person has to do. In our experience most of the stress is induced not by estate agents, but by duplicitous and untruthful members of the general public - the alleged “buyers”. Rosemary and I put our property in the hands of Trigg & Co due to the favourable impression we experienced through contact with one of their negotiators at another property. A decision that we have never regretted. They were professional, respectful and courteous at all times. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to sell their property.

Poor customer service
We are looking to add to our buy to let portfolio and on Tuesday 25/8/20 received an email from Trigg letting me know of a potential suitable property in Newport. I looked on Rightmove but could not find it advertised. I rang the Newport office and spoke to Mark he told me it had literally just gone back on the market that day as the previous purchase had fallen through. I asked if it was due to any problems with the property, he said it wasn’t and that it was due to the purchaser not being able to get finance. I requested a viewing and was told they were extremely busy and the earliest was Thursday 6pm which I could not make as I work until 5.45pm or Friday 10.45am. I chose the Friday appointment. On the Wednesday morning 26/8/20 I rang and spoke to Mark to check the extension or any other walls were not single skin as I had had this problem on a previous house I had looked at, he assured me they were fine. He then asked if he could push my viewing back to 11.15 due to being busy which I said was fine. At 2.30pm the same day I received a phone call cancelling my appointment telling me there had been a viewing the day before and an offer put in and accepted. I was working and could not talk at the time but did ring back a little later to express my disappointment and anger. Mark was on a phone call so had to speak to someone else he asked why I was angry, I tried to explain as I had been given the 1st available appointment to view due to them being busy (So how was a viewing done the day before) and only speaking to Mark that morning moving my appointment, at no point was I informed there had been a viewing or an offer put in. I believe a little transparency in the circumstances would of been appropriate, going from feeling happy that we may have found a suitable property and that we would be the 1st to view after going back on the market to disappointment/anger that we were not told of the viewing. All I got in reply was we told you as soon as the offer was accepted, missing my point totally about me being offered 1st available appointment.

I was sorry to read your review and as you know, my co-Director who has not been involved in your dealings with us made contact with you by email as soon as you posted it, in order to investigate exactly what happened.
We do try to respond to all reviews be they favourable or otherwise.
Two other prospective buyers were already booked in to see the property before you contacted us, on a day and time you could not make a viewing yourself due to work commitments. The member of staff you dealt with tells me that you were told this, but you have the opposite recollection.
Nevertheless, you could not attend on that day regardless of who else was already booked in and your own viewing was arranged for later in the week when you were free and we could accompany you.
One of those prospective buyers made an offer immediately after viewing and the vendor accepted it and took the property off the market. They are the key facts of the matter. The vendor had no reason to wait until you viewed before accepting an offer from someone else who had previously enquired and who viewed before you were able to attend.
As we have said in our private correspondence, you will appreciate that the vendor of a property is our client rather than the prospective buyer and we take the vendors instructions regarding offers, viewings and marketing. I can appreciate that it was disappointing to see the property taken off the market before you had the chance to view it, but the vendors accepted the offer made in the interim. It was unfortunate you could not for work commitment reasons view earlier when the other parties were already booked in and accordingly I have to conclude that on this occasion, I don’t think we did anything wrong. When we are in the wrong we hold our hands up and try to do better next time.
I believe you are still looking for a property and I hope we can help you find something suitable and re-establish your confidence in us. My co-Director has already made that offer to you in private correspondence. If the current offer falls through we will of course tell you.
Whilst no-one in business likes to read unfavourable reviews, we do take all feedback seriously and for that reason I thank you for posting. I hope for anyone reading it they now have the complete picture from both of us.
