(Warning + What To Do If You’ve Been Caught Out)

Avoid this company.
The website looks like a stylish UK brand selling “handcrafted” products — but my order was shipped from China and the item that arrived was cheap plastic nothing like the photos.

When I asked for a return, they refused to give a UK address and told me I’d have to send it back to China at my own cost. That alone will put a lot of people off returning… which is exactly the point.

Here’s what they don’t tell you:

If a company markets itself as UK-based, they legally must offer a UK return address.
They cannot force you to ship overseas unless that was made clear at checkout (it wasn’t).

If the item is poor quality, misrepresented, or not as described, you’re entitled to a full refund — and they should cover return postage.

Do not send anything back to China.
You’ll pay a fortune and probably never see a refund.

Instead:

Call your bank and ask for a chargeback (or Section 75 if over £100 on credit card).

Tell them the item was misrepresented and the seller is refusing a UK return.

Keep photos, screenshots, and the China shipping label as evidence.

The bank will handle it — not the seller.

If you’re reading this before ordering: don’t.
If you’re reading this after ordering: don’t panic — you can get your money back.

Total scam if I could give zero stars I would.

Scam, using AI photos and sob stories to draw people into buying from what they think is a UK store. The T&C’s on website state items come from China but it’s hidden. They will reply to emails and try and deter people from sending items back saying it will cost £30+. It actually costs £7 with DPD and fully tracked so my advice, send it back. Contact your bank to start the dispute process or if you paid with PayPal or another method contact them. Do not accept a 15% refund because that’s the scam, they’re keeping your money and it’s no deterrent to stop scamming.

Shop does not exist at publicised address. I only wish I'd checked the company out more thoroughly before purchasing through the (actually quite convincing) website. Items arrived but were cheap junk. Advertised as 18K gold, but in reality were cheap plastic pieces of sh*te with not even gold plating. AVOID THESE SCAMMING PRATS.

I stupidly fell for this scam... Oh how silly was I. Don't touch this company with a barge pole, or in fact anyone pretending to sell glass lamps for these prices. Similar sounding companies popping up on fb ❗

Like others i would give it a 0 but cant. I ordered it for my sister for christmas, stupidly didnt check them out as fell in love with it.
I finally got it after 2 weeks and was disgusted with a small, yellw, plastic dog. Not handcrafted, more like mass produced in china.
I am ramping up my emails and sending them screen shots of your reviews, they have told me to send it back, at MY Cost!!!!! And only offered 20% refund. I will keep going. DO NOT BUY IT IS A SCAM AND A DISPICABLE ONE TOO.

As with others, saw advert on FB - like an idiot I didn't do my research and fell for the sob story (which has even darker undertones now as they are using the 'death' of the supposed 'co-owner' as the reason for 'closing down'). All totally untrue, along with all the other claims on the website such as hand made, Cambridge company etc etc. The 'goods' arrived today and, as others have described, they are certainly not good! Awful cheap Chinese rubbish which are selling on Amazon for less than £12. My fault for not checking reviews sure - but they are con artists who continue to host an inaccurate and deceitful website. I have demanded a full refund but doubt I will get anywhere. I have also reported them to Citizens advice and BBC Watchdog.

Total scam. Can something not be done about this?? Surely they are committing fraud. What I received was not even close to what was advertised. I wouldn’t have paid a pound for it! I persevered and got 80% back but it took a lot of very angry emails.

This is a total scam-They lied about having a shop closing down and just ship the item from china-yes you receive a product but is nothing but a cheep plastic 3D printed version nothing as described or the astonishingly price. I could have made this for less than £10 not the £34.99.

Like your other reviewers I fell for the pictures and quickly spent £87 only to receive nasty Chinese plastic items. Well done Russ for getting 70% back. I only got 20%. I am raising "a dispute" with my credit card and might get my money back from them. I have reported Ivy Cambridge to Trading Standards, Facebook, National Cyber Security Centre and all my friends.

Update: after requesting a refund and receiving an email from them with completely unreasonable terms, I flagged it with my bank. I stated my belief that the company were acting fraudulently, and that given they were masquerading as a local company (which obviously isn’t the case) I had no confidence that they would honour a refund. They initiated a chargeback and this prompted Ivy “Cambridge” to issue a full refund! Would recommend pursuing them through your bank once you’ve requested a refund through the company, it did the trick for me!

Yep, I got mugged off too - vastly inferior to the website images, not worth even the discounted price (how did I not spot the ai generated family picture on their website?!), I’m going to ask for my money back, but I’m not hopeful……!!

Wish I'd reads reviews before ordering. Like others I thought this was from a UK based family business, all handmade in UK. The item i received was much smaller than what was shown on website and once I put light on, it lasted little over an hour, which makes it financially draining as it would require constant battery changes. It's also made of plastic not glass as I thought from website. These cost £70 for both and are definitely not worth more than a fiver. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUT FROM HERE.

Was totally scammed by what seemed a genuine company. Nothing but rubbish.How many other pensioners caught by it. 1star too many .Don't touch this company

I would have chosen no stars, do not buy, this is a fake site. Scammers. Pretend they are from uk, returns items to china . They refuse to send money back, offering 10% 30% . You need to be adamant you want a full refund and a rerurn label. Keep emails and pics of items , your bank will request these as evidence you’ve tried to make contact . company blocked my emails however, they did refund me after all of my emails stated I would report the company as a scam . Do not buy, Not glass products, hard plastic, bits loose inside. No light or lead for lamp to be lite, do not buy.

Jewellery is nothing like it appears it the pictures do not waste your money and the items are shipped from outside the UK so do not believe the pitiful story they tell.
