Just awful

Just awful. The build quality of these things is horrendous. From sloppy wiring to sub par incomplete roof insulation, poor quality peeling cabinet laminate to incomplete caulk on outside windows... these things are so cheaply made if you dont know how to work on them, you probably shouldn't buy one. Ours (2025 bunk house trailer) came with a 13k ac when it was specified to come with a 15k unit. This company is not ethical.

Very Unhappy Customer

If I had the ability to give Jayco a negative review I would. I purchased a brand-new Jay Feather 26FK on 28 March 2026 from Blue Compass RV and was scheduled to picked it up on 6 April 2026, but it was not clean, so I had to drive 103 miles back to Blue Compass RV dealership in Park City Kansas to get it the following weekend 11 April 2026. Got it home and several days later noticed an E5 Error on the refrigerator.
Called manufacturer of refrigerator and the tech told me it was a lose wire on the refrigerator or the circuit card is bad. Called Blue Compass RV and took the Travel Trailer back and they said they found the wire loose and tightened it and said refrigerator was working fine. I drove back home and several days later the same error occurred. Two more trips and many phone calls to Jayco and they finally replaced the refrigerator. Had numerous other little issues like dresser drawer rails pulled lose, towel hooks mounted crooked, gaps in bathroom cabinet are a few of the things we found wrong with our Jay Feather 26 FK that had to be fixed as well as the refrigerator.
Just went on a trip to Florida to visit our children. While at the KOA in Orlando my wife was taking a shower and heard a pop. When she got out of the shower, she noticed water on the floor, the water had ran under the wall into the living/dining kitchen area. After cleaning up the water I noticed that the drain screen had popped off. When I went to put it back on, I noticed the drainpipe was displaced. I removed the panel that the heating duct is connected to, and I found that the drain line connection had popped off. That is when I found the manufacturing issue that led to why the drain line popped off. When I looked at where the 2.5" heating duct came through the floor, they had drilled a 6" hole and one of the supports for the shower base is right over that hole.
There is the on-demand water heater issue that required me to go outside and blow out the vent pipe then turn the on-demand heater unit back on using the reset instructions for it to heat the water. I would have to repeat this procedure for me to take a shower, so I had to hurry up and get back into the trailer, undress, and take a shower before the 20 minute lock out timer expired or it would shut off and need to be reset. Had to do this for 2 weeks and now that does not even work. We ended up taking cold showers on the way home because the on-demand water heater would not work at all.
Also have several outlets that have lost power to them. The USB charging port on my side of the bed does not work but my wife’s side does and the popup outlet on the kitchen counter stopped working on the way home.
Another issue we had on our trip home was the screw channel rubber covering the screws at the front corners of the 26 FK Travel Trailer started to come off while driving down the Interstate only being held on by the top and bottom corner on both sides. I was not sure what it was until I pulled onto an off ramp and looked to see what was coming off the RV. Once I figured out it was the screw channel rubber covers, I at 72, had to get on top of the trailer and push as much of the rubber seal back into the channel as I could without falling off the top. I then came down on the ground and by sheer luck was able to reach up high enough by standing on the tow frame assembly to push the middle to bottom rubber seal back in so we could continue our travel home. The reason this happened is because the temperature was 108° out according to my truck and the rubber seal Jayco used is very thin. The heat made it very soft and the wind caused it to blow out of the channels. If you live in a hot climate like Arizona, Nevada, Florida etc. do not buy a Jayco or this will probably happen to you. Had Jayco used a thicker higher quality rubber it would withstand high heat days without this happening. Another issue I found on the way home is the wiring going to the electric brakes on the 26FK Travel Trailer was hanging down and about 1 inch from dragging on the ground because from what I can see these wires were not fastened to the frame underneath the trailer. I had to get a tie strap and fasten it to the rear axle to keep it from falling down again.

When I contacted Beverly J. Customer Service Specialist a second time I received the following answer "Good morning, thank you for sharing your photos. You will need to reach out to a dealer to get something schedule to have a pre auth sent in for review.
We will continue to work within the terms and guidelines of the warranty agreement.”

I my opinion Jayco does not stand behind their manufacturing and wants to just push all these issue on the Dealerships to fix under their warranty. This is not a warranty issue it is poor manufacturing and quality control at their factory.

I bought a brand new Jayco Jayfeather

I bought a brand new Jayco Jayfeather. 1st time out awning snapped and was determined to be defective. I paid for repair on June 11. June 30 service at Jayco received invoice. No followup until July 23 at which point they said invoice approved for 1250.00 reimbursement. Today I received an email stating claim not paid as they want the technicians receipt for his purchase of the part. So not honoring their warranty and not honoring my receipt and invoice.

Severe Premature Frame Rust and Ongoing…

Severe Premature Frame Rust and Ongoing Quality Issues – 2025 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 210QBW

I am incredibly disappointed with the build quality of my 2025 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 210QBW that I purchased in August 2025 from Traveland Airdrie. The entire frame is already experiencing severe, premature rust.

Traveland Airdrie agreed to address the rust on the rear bumper, but what about the rest of the frame? A travel trailer should not be degrading like this in under a year of ownership, and a customer should not have to fight with the dealer and manufacturer to have a serious issue properly addressed.

This is the sixth travel trailer I have owned, and none of my previous units developed this amount of rust in such a short period of time. This trailer has never been taken on gravel roads and is always parked on a proper pad when not in use. It has been well cared for and used under normal conditions, making the extent of the corrosion even more concerning. In my opinion, a trailer at this price point should not experience this level of deterioration so early in its life.

Unfortunately, the rust is only part of the problem. Since purchasing the trailer, I have also dealt with interior wall panels coming loose, trim separating, glue stains left on the ceiling from the factory, issues with the sink, and a backup camera that has never worked since the day I took delivery. These are not the kinds of defects anyone should expect on a brand-new trailer costing approximately $40,000.

As a retired Canadian Armed Forces veteran with 22 years of service, I have always valued companies that stand behind the quality of their products and take care of their customers. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with the opposite impression.

Instead of taking ownership of these issues, both the dealer and the manufacturer have spent their time pointing fingers at each other while the customer is left dealing with significant defects on a nearly new trailer.

Take a look at the attached photos and decide for yourself if this is the level of quality, workmanship, and customer service you would expect when spending $40,000 on a new travel trailer.

Never buy a Jayco!!!

Before you buy a Jayco, watch the YouTube channel Lizamazing. She features real Jayco customers who have been totally been ripped off as far as the quality in manufacturing. One couple bought a new “luxury” fifth-wheel for over $200K and all it has been is a nightmare. Repairs are a joke and even then you have to wait weeks to get a warranty claim approval just to bring it in for the so-called repairs. Then there was a couple who bought a brand new $300K class A motorhome that has literally fell apart. The motorhome was manufactured without a sealant! This allowed water to get into & destroy the structure of the motorhome, and it caused black mold to thrive throughout. Although Jayco agreed yes, there was a manufacturing defect where the sealant was not applied, it was the customer’s fault because they didn’t notice it early enough!! Wth?? Just blaming the customer for a defect is insane, but they’re not even considering that Jayco wouldn’t even schedule the repairs until SIX MONTHS after the customer made them aware!! Said they were booked up. Well, if your repair team is booked up for 6 months, then your production vs. quality is totally off balance! Unbelievable!! And it seems Jayco doesn’t understand that when people can’t use their motorhome or RV, it costs them money on hotels, maybe plane tickets, vacation plans, stress and worry while still making payments on the junk RV or motorhome! You can’t make plans. It impacts your life in ways you wouldn’t expect. Shame on Jayco!!

Worst company we have dealt with in years

If you are considering purchasing a Jayco caravan, particularly a Crosstrak series, we'd like to share our recent buying experience as a cautionary tale and offer some insights into how this company operates:

1. Jayco as a manufacturer is completely different to "Jayco" branded dealers. The dealer network is something completely separate, and largely our experience has been positive with dealers and repair companies. From glancing at laptop screens the dealers have access to very old Jayco systems that give limited information at best.

2. Our experience with Jayco the manufacturer has been extremely poor. The lead-times they communicate to their dealers have no substance: they simply change without explanation or communication to anyone, not even their dealers. If you have any hard dates for travel expect up to 4 to 6 months on a build regardless of what is promised. Our previous van, an Austrak Talawana, was far more visible in terms of status than what we experienced with Jayco, and they delivered within the lead-times indicated.

3. The build quality with Jayco is also poor. You can google "Jayco caravan build quality" yourself, and in our case, a new model of van was still being designed and re-tested despite being an advertised product. This added to delays and caused us to cancel a trip we'd been planning for over a year with friends. Those same friends also have a Jayco and they have warned us to expect a lot of flaws and warranty issues especially with new models.

4. Jayco as an organization is completely uncontactable other than through an email service, which we can only describe as arrogant and entitled. Despite raising the broken delivery promises in an email to them... their only response was to contact the dealer and that posting our experience on social media is "aggressive" and "will not be tolerated". As for cancelling our order and getting our deposit back because they failed to deliver within the dates promised... take that up with your dealer.

We deeply regret purchasing from Jayco, and wish we had simply purchased another Austrak van which we had zero issues with. Full credit to their dealer network for tolerating such a hopeless company.

Hope this helps someone out, and if you are considering a new van and looking at the Crosstrak, do have a look at the Austrak Talawana or MDC as better quality in the price bracket.

Bad Patch Job from Factory Hidden

After purchasing a new Jayco camper, we discovered within months that a defect from the factory had
been covered up. A hole had been punched completely through the wall of the camper and patched.
This was on the back of the camper and after a few months of use, the patch job from the factory
failed and started cracking. We expected this to be covered by Jayco. After 2 years of fighting to get
the warranty work covered, Jayco has decided they will pay for a cheap patch job, like the one that
has ready failed, instead of the fix recommended by the dealer and the body shop. The cheap patch
job is estimated to cost $1,500.00 with NO warranty. The recommended fix is estimated at $3,500.00.
We did not purchase a used trailer. This defect was not disclosed to us at the time of purchase, it was
hidden. We were sold on Jayco's "great warranty" and feel as though we were scammed. We now
have a 3 year old $30,000.00+ trailer with its second patch job and no warranty.

Jayco refuses to honor warranty

I own several of their units. I recently purchased 2 new units. 1 of them had roughly 10k worth of water damage between the wall. Jayco refuses to fix the issue under warranty. Why would you treat your customers like this????

This is for the Jayco website: SPAM city! I had to give my email to get an owners manual for my RV. Suddenly I'm getting Camping World crap, trying to sell me a freaking RV. I tell them to lay off only to find they've spend my email far and wide, subscribing me to like 5 other places. Horrible violation of trust. Now I don't trust either company.

A warranty isnt any good if they dont honor it

Was informed that the decking between the rafters and rubber roof my 2022 Jayco 264bh bought in 2024 is not considered part of the structure. It is bulging under the rubber roof and
an obvious manufacturing mistake ... Someone in the plant forgot to put the screws that mount the decking to the rafters before completing the roof assembly...
I just want Jayco to honor their own warranty

horrible company

Josh, the owner, is one of the most unprofessional and immature adults I’ve ever met. He never once managed the job of building a pond and a road for me which he was hired to do. Left me holding a bill for his fuel and material orders that he ordered. I asked for a 10 foot wide Gravel Road ended up being 16 foot wide, which cost me twice as much money in material. RUN, don’t walk away from this guy in this company. absolutely horrible experience.

I bought a 2022 Jayco Super Lite new

I bought a 2022 Jayco Super Lite new. After about two years, I discovered severe water damage caused by failed seals above both rear windows. Blue Compass’s tech had to remove the underbelly and dump gallons of water to locate the leak.

I filed a warranty claim. Jayco gave me a written denial, citing that the unit was “outside warranty” and calling it non-structural. However, the nature of the failure is clearly not routine maintenance — it required invasive diagnostics to even see it.

I requested escalation and full documentation, but was told customers can’t be CC’d in the manufacturer’s portal. Meanwhile, the dealer has offered a “discounted repair” that I should pay for myself.

This looks like a premature structural defect, not normal wear. I am pursuing this further with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection, the Better Business Bureau, and other avenues.

Pros: Attractive design, lots of features.
Cons: If Jayco won’t back you when something clearly fails early, that’s a big risk.

A few weeks ago we bought a Jayco 334RTS from camping world as I was told their service department is not the greatest for support, I was at ease when they had a Jayco representative from the factory at their location and gave me his direct card for any issues we may encounter. Well we had a slight issue and we called Nate directly and even though he was on vacation out of state he handled everything and had someone looking at my camper within the hour. And followed up with me with in the next 30 minutes to make sure problem was solved. So shout out to Nate from Jayco for his dedication and also Ben from Charlie Obaugh RV Dealer.
