JD Gyms - Doncaster Avis 

Gym itself is really good, the big downside is male bathroom/toilet, smells horrible and it is very messy state most of the time. Maybe some air fresheners and bleach used on regular basis? Also, containers with soap are empty most of the time… Clearly, poor control and management of that aspect.

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share some feedback based on my recent visits to the gym. I've been quite disappointed with the cleanliness and the state of the equipment. The crossover machine handles are often scarce, making it frustrating to find some to use. Additionally, a lot of the equipment looks worn out and could use some maintenance.

The condition of the toilets is also concerning, as they are often dirty and unhygienic. Given that JD is such a big brand name, it's surprising to see these issues. Furthermore, the area for deadlifts has noticeable dips, and the clips for the bars are virtually non-existent.

I hope these concerns can be addressed soon to improve the overall experience.

The lat pull down machine, near the entrance to the right hand side, where you secure your legs is not secured properly.

The cold shower hasn't worked since I signed up so I cannot do hot and cold therapy, also it has been out of order for an month, when I asked a memeber of staff.

The showers stink and are filthy the past 3 days I've been in.

I had high hopes for this gym and it does have what i want but some equipment like the lat pull down machine is faulty, there was no clear sign to where a peice of equipment is to what I needed, I needed a different handle but I couldn't find it and there was nothing on the wall or any buckets with different handles in.

I really would like to use the cold shower and as of yesterday staff do not know when it will be fixed.

At busy times difficult to get on the machines causing friction between customers. Need more of popular macines. Air con struggling when gym is full.
Need more classes on Sundays please. Steam sauna , Outdoor pool and cold plunge would be a great addition.

Joined for the first time at 58 years old. Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. 👍

Lots more equipment than your usual budget gym and sauna is excellent for relaxing never seems that crowded

The gym its self is brilliant. Its let down by the horrendous smell in the men's changing room and there are no cleaning facilities around the gym. With hygiene a key part if the leisure industry I think it needs to be a quick area of improvement. Blue role and a cleaning spray wont break the bank I'm sure.

QR entry system is a nightmare, sometimes I’m stood there for a few minutes waiting for it to scan. Gym etiquette is ridiculous, members never take weights off, put weights back. Empty energy drink cans left around the gym. Female toilets are vile, someone has failed to clean the toilet after their time of the month.. all over the seat! Surely JD can do better!

I love the fact that it's open all hours.
I enjoy the atmosphere and it helps me get into a good mind set.

Changing rooms very messy with bins over flowing, plastic bottles discarded throughout the gym, spills left on the gym floor. Generally untidy
However this gym has everything, don't need to wait for equipment, working sauna, fully stocked vend machines full of protein, bcaa, preworkout drinks.

Availability of different machines and kit is great, but the temperature seems too high.

Plenty of equipment and well priced, just wish they had sanitation stations to wipe equipment down and wish I could access the PT board easier as equipment is too close

Loads of equipment the only thing is that the showers and toilets smell of urine all the time

Great experience, good machines and good amount of benches. Only problem is that dumbells are never replaced correctly and you are always looking for 10s or whatever for example, could this maybe be looked into, then also with the plates they are left on machines and never replaced back to the rack

My first time ever at the gym , it's absolutely fantastic clean place , equipment is excellent, looking forward to going again

I like the eleiko bar and weightlifting platforms
