JPW Academy Avis

SCAM: It is simply too good to be true. Very overpriced and not good value! It's not even tutoring rather live lectures where you can only ask questions on the chat. Even if they are answered, the "teaching assistants" don't even know what their talking about, sometimes as if it is AI generated. Although it helped a bit, it's not worth the hundreds of pounds especially because they just go through a text, read it and basically do all the work for you. AVOID

My son is very pleased with both English and science tutoring. He is more focused and confident overall, being better equipped for his upcoming GSCEs. The personal homework feedback is extremely useful each week, knowing where to pick up those extra marks makes such a difference. His English teacher at school can see a significant improvement. We are glad to have found JPW tutoring.

Thank you for your dedication and support. My son feels he has learnt a lot from JPW Academy, the feedback explains clearly where they need to improve.

We are impressed with the approachable, friendly and encouraging manner in which the tutoring has been conducted. Daisy is fantastic at explaining how to approach specific questions and modelling responses using clear frameworks like the PETER model/magic box. It has raised confidence considerably - thank you!

I learnt a lot and my confidence is definitely high now. The fantastic tutors are very helpful, knowledgeable, always respond to the queries and extra Q/A session definitely adds extra support when I am revising for GCSE exams.

This English tutoring has really helped me with my English work at school when preparing for my exams. I felt I have improved massively in the subject and my confidence in my English class at school has grown. I’ve only had this tutoring for a couple months now online in group classes, and it has made such a difference. I receive helpful feedback once I have completed the homework, and immediate responses to any questions, so I can use it when writing up my answers along with the recorded zoom lessons. I recommend this tutoring to anyone who struggles with English GCSE or wants help revising for it.

My son is a very able student for all subjects apart from English. He was achieving very high estimated grades for his GCSE’s However, for whatever reason he was lagging behind a little in English.

He suggested he would benefit from tutoring, however, the cost of personal tutoring and his busy schedule, it was hard to justify personal tuition.

I came across an advert for JPW courses and signed up for the introductory free zoom workshop which my son assured me was extremely useful.

Although the cost is not cheap, it is at an accessible level and there are different price plans for different budgets.

We opted for the most reasonable silver package, which my son has found to be quite enough and has already moved from a grade 4 to a grade 7 in a couple of months.

We like the flexibility of doing the sessions at home via zoom, which means we can do it wherever we are either at home or visiting family and friends.

I would definitely recommend JPW tutoring as it’s a very professional organisation and my son not only enjoys it but seems to have already benefited from it.

The tutors are highly proficient and give honest credible, helpful feedback.

I loved the tutoring sessions held within groups and I have significantly improved in my GCSE English language skills.

Review from my son in year 11:

I believe that JPW Tutors is an excellent way to boost your English GCSE grade. I originally struggled with English and found analysing quotations difficult however this is not the case anymore since starting the tutor. When I joined JPW Tutors, the first thing that interested me was the interactive classes. The moment I asked a question it was answered in detail and the lessons were clear and informative. The best part has to be the homework. JPW Tutors give exam-style questions and mark it thoroughly and send you a short video with feedback to use in your next exam practice question attempt. I would definitely recommend JPW Tutors to anyone struggling with their English GCSE. 10/10!

Although JWP is online it is a very personal experience and is completely tailored to your needs. The company are aware if homework is missing and will contact the parent. They make sure the lessons are focused and that’s there’s no other chit chat or distractions. The feedback on homework is amazing with extremely constructive communication for improvement. Enquiries are always answered immediately by email or there is a weekly q&a. I would highly recommend. I can see the improvement and confidence.

Since joining JPW Academy my teacher has grade my work an 8/9, when previously it was a 7. I am on the cheapest version and find it good: the 1 hour lessons are handy but too short in my opinion, the marked homework is very helpful but I would like a modal answer emailed after. Overall the academy has helped me improve my marks and knowledge of the English paper.

I have found this course very informative and I have only had 4 lessons. I like the way when a students asks a question they answer thoroughly. I have a better understanding on how to answer examination questions. I am so glad I have found JPW tutors.

Review from my son:
I find it great that we can interact with our tutors and get feedback immediately during the live lessons. It is also helpful to gain extra knowledge from questions asked by other students and I benefit from the answers to those. Furthermore, the feedback I receive on homework is always very helpful telling me exactly what I can do to improve and get a better grade for next time.

I highly recommend JPW Tutors! My son has shown remarkable improvement in his GCSE English and science skills over the past few lessons. Not only did he excel academically, but he also thoroughly enjoyed every session. The tutors are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, providing valuable insights and guidance. One of the highlights is the video feedback on homework assignments. My son eagerly anticipates the feedback every week, finding it immensely helpful in his learning journey. Thank you, JPW Tutors, for your exceptional service and dedication to your students' success!

Very experienced and professional tutors, who teach comprehensive and logical approaches to English, Maths and Science. What I like most is their explanation of how to analyse different texts and to extract the essence from those texts.

My daughter started going the JPW Tutors English excellence course, plus the maths and science. The format and homework with feedback is keeping her motivated and giving tips and that extra input needed at this crucial time with GCSEs around the corner. I’ve listened into several sessions and the tutors are engaging and interactive. A further benefit I could not have foreseen is how the sessions have alleviated her anxiety in the run up to the exams- it feels like they are saying “we got you, it’s ok!”. She’s thriving on the superb tutoring and I highly recommend this method.

Very good tutoring, helped alot with improving English skills and exam techniques. Highly recommend

Amazing teachers with a broad knowledge of what they are doing. Extremely useful homework with good feedback. Recommend this really well.

My daughter finds the skills and techniques that the tutor taught are helpful. She had more confidence in answering the questions.

I find the course very helpful I managed to go from a grade 3 to a grade 6-7. If you are someone who struggles in English then I would really recommend this course .The teachers are really nice and help you engage in the lesson. Moreover the lessons are often fun and interesting
